A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Lightning only shook her head, understanding what Riku was doing. "Don't," she said, referring to him taking off the necklace. She wanted him to keep it, even if she had only intended for it to be a temporary possession of his. It meant a lot more to him than it did to her if he held onto it for seven years in another life.

Riku's hand froze where they were, the young man lifting his aqua eyes to Lightning's pale blue. He looked at her for a moment in confusion, though he did lower his hands to sit in his lap again. She wanted him to keep it?

"It's yours now," Light said softly. She wanted him to hold onto it, so a part of her was always with him. And just like he enjoyed seeing her in his sweatshirt, she enjoyed seeing him wear a necklace that belonged to her. The lightning bolt obviously connected to her, since Lightning was her name.

Riku smiled ever so slightly, flattered by the gift. But, there was a small problem. "...I don't have anything to give you," he pointed out. Yet. He would be sure to give her something in the future...for Christmas and another special occasion.

Lightning smiled faintly. "That's alright," she said softly, lifting her hand and patting Riku's chest lightly once or twice. "You already gave me your heart." That was good enough for her. She'd just hold onto that for a while, even if he did give her another gift. She would take good care of what he already gave her.

Riku's smile remained, and he nodded faintly. He looked at Lightning in silence, not regretting the fact that he did give her his heart. He trusted her with it, and knew she wouldn't shatter it. There had been a time in the past that was close, but he was strong enough to win her back. Hopefully she would be his forever.

Light started lowering her hand from Riku's chest, her eyes still on him. "And you have my heart too. Just thought I'd tell you in case you didn't know," she said with a small smirk. But Riku better have known he held her heart. He always would as far as she was concerned.

Riku lifted his hand, catching Lightning's before it lowered completely. "Yeah...I know," he said gently. He had known for a long time. The moment they first kissed Lightning had his heart, and he would like to think he had hers at that time as well.

Light smiled softly, both at Riku's words and how he caught her hand before it fell back down. She was glad he knew, obviously. She loved him more than she thought she could ever love. She wanted him to keep her heart safe, just like she would protect his. That was how it was meant to be; she just knew it.

Riku curled his fingers gently around Lightning's hand, holding it to his chest. "...I'm fond of you," he told her quietly. He couldn't remember that last time he said that, but it was true. He loved her, and he was incredibly fond of her presence. She was great.

Lightning hummed softly, the warmth of Riku's hand making her forget any other discomfort. "I'm very fond of you," she said quietly with a small smile. She just one-upped Riku by adding the adjective in front of "fond", partially to be playful and partially to be accurate with what she said. She wasn't just fond of Riku; she was very fond of him.

"Very fond?" Riku repeated, lifting an eyebrow as he smirked a little. "Was that supposed to make me feel bad? How can I beat very fond?" He leaned a little closer to her, his eyes staying on Light's as he waited for an answer.

"That's something you'll have to figure out on your own," Light said quietly with a small smirk, her eyes locked onto Riku's. He had to come up with a better adjective, she guessed. Incredibly fond, extremely fond...There were a ton of options, but she had a feeling Riku was trying to come up with a response that didn't involve too many words.

"...I think I already have something," Riku said gently, squeezing Lightning's hand a little. He had something that defeated the purpose of "fond". At least in his eyes.

"Yeah, what's that?" Light asked quietly, her smirk fading into a tiny smile as she gazed into Riku's eyes. She didn't know what he came up with, but she was definitely ready to hear what he had to say. She was always ready to listen to whatever he had to say. Well, maybe not "always", but she was learning to listen to the things she didn't like to hear too. Any words of Riku's were valuable.

Riku's smirk turned into a smile. "...I love you, Claire," he told her softly. He loved Lightning, he loved Claire...he loved all of her. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't.

Lightning hummed quietly, her small smile widening a little as she kept her eyes on Riku. "You win," she said quietly, moving her face a little closer to Riku. Obviously loving somebody was greater than just being fond of them, but something else spoke louder than that word. He called her "Claire", and she wasn't offended. She actually liked it. That was love, that she could be close enough to somebody for them to be able to use that name.

Riku smiled a little more, closing the gap between him and Lightning at last, his smile faltering because of his lips meeting hers. He closed his eyes, keeping her hand close to him as he kissed her.

Lightning shut her eyes at the kiss, gently kissing Riku back and savoring this. She always savored kisses from Riku, because when he gave them, they meant something. This was one way that they could show their love for each other. Of course, there were many other methods, like cuddling and just smiling at each other. She enjoyed all of them, but kisses were special to her.

Riku continued to kiss Lightning, knowing that he would be able to do this for the rest of his life. Or at least he hoped so. A proposal was definitely at the top of his to-do list; there was no way he was letting anyone else have his Lightning.

The kiss ended after a few seconds, Light gently withdrawing but keeping her face close to Riku's. She let her eyes stay shut, a soft breath leaving her lips. "I love you too," she said softly, since she didn't say it earlier. It was true whether she said it verbally or not, but she still liked saying it.

"Hm," Riku hummed, running this thumb over Lightning's hand as he kept his face within close proximity to hers. He was glad to hear that, considering how much he adored her. He never thought he would find love or be soft with anyone, but he had. He found someone, and he cherished her.

Light smiled softly, leaning closer and giving Riku a quick peck on the lips before she returned to her previous position. She heard the wind blowing outside because of the quietness in the living room, but it didn't bother her. She was comfortable being in Riku's arms, even if she was just under one of them right now instead of being surrounded by two of them.

Riku wanted more affection, more kisses, but he knew that he couldn't ask for that. One, that would be silly. Two...well, he wasn't sure how Lightning would react. He leaned his head forward, his forehead finding hers and resting there. He kept his eyes closed, planning a future for the both of them.

Lightning felt Riku's forehead against hers, both of their hair keeping their skin from contacting completely. "Can I ask a favor?" she asked quietly, randomly. She was comfortable this way, but if Riku said yes to her request, she'd be even more comfortable. And she had a feeling that he would too.
