Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning leaned her head back a little bit, a small laugh leaving her lips as she faintly shook her head. "I may fall asleep," she murmured, eyes falling shut. She was tired from the training and from the cold. And being in such a comfortable position definitely made her feel at ease enough to go to sleep, even if she did want to stay awake and be with Riku.
"That's okay," Riku said, keeping his eyes trained on the window. He watched flakes fall, though he didn't shift his position. Lightning was obviously comfortable, and so was he. He wasn't about to ruin it by moving. And if she wanted to sleep, she could. He would be here when she woke up.

"You're gonna be pretty bored," Lightning murmured. Obviously he wouldn't be able to move while she was sitting in front of him like this, so what was he going to do? Was he going to take a nap as well? Or would he turn on the TV? She really didn't care, as long as the TV was quiet. She was a light sleeper, after all.
"I'll be fine," Riku said, running his hand over Lightning's side slightly before stopping. "Get some rest. You worked hard today." She pushed herself through training, so she deserved some sleep. He would be right here when she came to.

"Mm," Lightning hummed quietly. She obeyed Riku and decided to just get rest, trusting he would keep himself amused while she was out. She kept her eyes shut and allowed herself to doze off, falling asleep within a few minutes because of how comfortable and content she was. And she'd be the same way when she woke up and still had Riku's arms around her.
Riku knew Lightning was out when he felt her body relax in his hold. He continued to look out the window, listening to her even breathing as he pondered over many things in his mind. He had a lot to think about.

The next day

Light stepped inside the large building, feeling the heat hit her immediately. That was a relief, since it was a cold walk to the Islands shopping mall. Riku dragged her here, saying that he was going to buy her clothes so she didn't freeze to death. She appreciated that, but Riku was seriously going to be shopping with her? Didn't he know how long girls took with shopping? Unfortunately, not even she was an exception to that.

Riku shook his head, getting any snowflakes out of his hair as he walked into the mall with Lightning. However small it may have been, it did its job. The girls were satisfied with it here on the Islands, so hopefully it would help get Lightning some clothes. He was paying, since she lost everything when Cocoon fell. Besides, this was his idea. He didn't want her to freeze.

Light lifted a hand and smoothed out her hair, staying by Riku's side and gazing around the area. "I still can't believe you're willingly going shopping," she said, faintly shaking her head. She needed a lot of clothes, so this was going to take a really long time. And she couldn't believe Riku was paying for it all. She knew he had a lot of money from his travels, but still...She'd repay him somehow.
"I'm not shopping," Riku pointed out. "I'm tagging along, like every boyfriend does." He looked over at Lightning and smirked slightly. He heard Sora and Roxas complain multiple times about trips to the mall, but this was his choice. He wanted to help Lightning get some clothes, and he was here in case his opinion was needed.

"Alright, wise guy," Lightning said with a smirk of her own, elbowing Riku. "But you're still paying. That's considered shopping." And he would probably browse too, whether he meant to or not. She wondered if he would actually pick out anything he'd want to see her in. It would give her an idea of what he liked, in terms of style. That's a side of him I'd never know otherwise.
Riku rolled his eyes, looking forward. "Alright, fine," he said in defeat. He saw that a lot of people were here shopping, probably for the holidays. That meant this wouldn't be an easy shopping trip, but maybe he could browse gifts for Lightning...

"...You do know how long this is going to take, right? And how expensive it's going to be?" Light checked, though she had brought both things up to Riku earlier. He didn't have to do this. If she had a little bit of time, she could make enough money to get her own clothes. And if he was going to insist on paying, he didn't have to torture himself by shopping with her for hours.
"Yeah," Riku said with a small nod, looking back to the person he loved. "It's no big deal. Everyone else is busy doing their own thing anyway." There wasn't anything else he really had to do this afternoon, so he didn't have any other options. He wanted to be with Lightning anyway.

"Okay," Light said with a small nod, taking her eyes off Riku and looking around. "So...where do we start?" There were stores all over the place, but she knew nothing about them. Obviously they weren't going to stop in at the pet shop they just passed, or the jewelry store. Which clothing stores were good?
"You're asking me?" Riku checked, lifting an eyebrow as he looked around. "Bad idea. It was Serah that dragged me into all the stores the last time." She helped him find clothes for everyone for dinner, but what stores did she take him in for Lightning?
  • Author
"Serah always did like shopping," Light said with a small smirk. But she asked Riku because she figured he would know which stores were good. He lived here his entire life, after all, so he should have known at least a little about the shops. She was completely clueless about which stores to go to.
Riku lifted a hand to his head, running it repeatedly over his hair. "Um...Kairi always goes in that one," he said, pointing toward one store where a group of girls were heading inside. "I don't know if you'll find anything you'll like, but it's worth a shot, I guess." There were a bunch of styles in there, so hopefully Lightning could find something.

Light followed Riku's gaze to the store, seeing all the girls go inside. But she wrinkled her nose a little at the displays, and the name of the store. "All that pink will burn out my retinas," she said, shaking her head. No way did she want to go into such a girly store, and no way would she buy anything that bright a shade of pink. That wasn't her.
Riku laughed softly, glancing over at Lightning before gazing forward. "Now I think I have a general idea of what you'd like," he said with a small smile. "This way." He walked around a corner, expecting Light to follow. He knew one store that didn't have so much pink.

Lightning hmphed quietly, following Riku around the corner. You're just getting an idea of what I like now? Sheesh... She knew she mostly stuck to this outfit, but Riku should have known that she didn't like anything girly or extravagant. She was a little more bland.
Riku led Lightning to a store that had more general clothing, a place where both guys and girls could shop. There was hardly anything that would burn her retinas, so he figured she would be fine. "This look okay?" he asked, motioning to the store they stood outside of with his head.
  • Author
Light glanced over the store, a few bright colors sticking out to her but nothing in general disgusting her. "Yeah, this looks okay," she said, starting in and trusting that Riku would join her. She hoped this didn't take too long since she wasn't big on shopping, but she did need a lot of clothes.
Riku followed Lightning in, seeing that there were other people in this store as well. Not that he expected anything less; this one was generally popular with people in their teens and in their twenties. Another reason it would most likely work for Lightning.

I guess jeans would be a good start, Lightning thought, heading over there. Jeans were generally easy to pick as long as they were simple and not flashy. She just wanted some comfortable jeans, and if they happened to flatter her body, great. She was sure Riku would like that.
