Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku glanced around, unable to remember the last time he was in this store. They had a lot of winter stuff out, thank goodness. He doubted Lightning would be looking for another skirt anytime soon. She was smart enough to aim for something warmer, like the jeans she was looking at now.

Light threw a pair of darker, skinny jeans over her arm for her to try on later, also grabbing a few other brands and hues of blue so she could try those on. She didn't need to browse needlessly; once she had what she needed and knew that they fit, then she and Riku could move on. They had a lot more to shop for. Shoes, shirts, coats...It was going to be a long day.
Riku smiled softly, watching Lightning as he lingered behind her. He was glad she was finding some things. He wanted her to be warm, and comfortable. He would gladly pay for anything she liked.

Lightning left Riku alone and tried on some of the jeans in the dressing room. Unfortunately, not many of them fit. Only two pairs were good. She exited the rooms and then came back out, putting the jeans where she found them. She started looking over the other pairs after that, trying to find some that she liked that looked comfortable, all the while praying this trip wouldn't take too long.
Riku naturally trailed behind Lightning, his eyes darting over some clothes she hadn't been paying attention to. But then he suddenly felt uneasy. He looked up, seeing a group of guys looking over at Lightning's direction. His eyes narrowed instantly, knowing why they were staring. One, she was in a skirt. Two, she was far from unattractive. It angered him that they were staring at her with such hungry eyes.

Light didn't notice any stares on her, the young woman glancing at a rack and taking a step over to it to look at more jeans. The styles were a little too flashy for her in some cases, and then whenever she found some jeans that she liked, they didn't have her size. That was how it always was on Cocoon, too. Some things never change, I guess.
Riku fought the urge to yell at the group across the store, but he instead blocked their view from Lightning, leaning against a rack she just moved on from. He glared at the ground, knowing how Lightning felt now. Jealous and angry, whenever they looked where they shouldn't.

Light's eyes caught onto some nice jeans in her size, and so she took a pair or two of those and slung them over her arm with the others she had to try on. Since she could only take a limited number of items into the dressing room, now was a good time for her to go back. "Riku?" she called from her spot a few feet away, his back to her. I'm gonna go try these on.
Riku looked over his shoulder, his eyes finding Light. "Go ahead," he said with a nod, knowing where she was going. He would wait here...and continue to glare at the group on the other side of the store. Hopefully they would catch a hint and make their leave.

Lightning arched a brow slightly at Riku's expression, but she wouldn't question it right now. She turned and started on her way, not feeling the eyes that trailed her now that Riku was no longer acting as a wall in front of her. If she had known, she didn't know what she would have done. She was used to it by now; it was one of the hazards of wearing a miniskirt.
Riku watched Lightning go, and he was sure he wasn't the only one doing it. He turned his head, his eyes catching onto those of one of the guys that was part of the group. He blinked at the glare Riku was sending, and turned to his friends. He whispered something and Riku caught a few other gazes. He wasn't surprised to see some smug ones and some frightened ones.

Lightning took a few minutes to try on those pairs of jeans, and fortunately, a lot of them fit nicely. She came out of the rooms but started browsing at some clearance items right outside them, seeing some stuff that wasn't too bad. She grabbed a few tanktops from those racks too, even if it was winter. They were nice to wear, whether around the house or underneath other shirts.
"You guys have a staring problem?" Riku called, still leaning against the rack, one arm resting on top of it. He was unaware of the fact that Lightning was out of the dressing rooms, but he did see that the guys didn't know what to say. Instead, they turned and went back to "shopping". He "hmphed" in both triumph and disapproval. Idiots.

Light blinked at the voice she recognized, catching Riku tell the guys off from his spot. What just happened? she thought, gazing at Riku in confusion from where she was. Did she need to approach him, or was she better off being ignorant?
Riku knew that he needed to start acting more like Lightning's boyfriend out in public. If he didn't, this would keep happening. And he hated it. Nobody was allowed to look at Lightning like that.

I guess...I'll just leave it alone, Lightning thought, going back to browsing. If it came up later, she'd ask Riku what was up. But for now, she'd act dumb and be sure to keep their shopping trip on a lighter note. They just started a little while ago, so she didn't want it turning sour now.
Riku sighed and turned, seeing the woman he loved not too far off. He started over toward her. "Find anything?" he asked softly. In other words, did anything fit? If so, good. If not, then they would keep looking.

Light looked up, nodding faintly. "Yeah, these are all good," she said, holding up her arm that a few pairs of jeans and tank tops were draped over. She didn't try on the tops, but she was sure that they would be just fine. If they didn't fit, then they could return them to the store some other time.
Riku nodded, humming slightly. At least Light found some clothes that would cover her legs, since it was so cold. If she wanted to keep looking, Riku would stick with her, or they could go to another store. It was totally up to her.

"You don't see anything, do you?" Light asked, arching a brow slightly in question. She thought she caught him browsing through some clothes for her earlier. If there was something he liked, she'd take a look at it. He was the one paying, after all, so if he liked something, she'd at least consider getting it.
Riku shrugged slightly, glancing back to the area they had been before. "Not really," he said softly. He had been more worried about the guys checking out Lightning. That was disturbing.

You look upset, Lightning thought, though she didn't bring anything up. "I'll just look through a few more shirts, and then we'll get going," she said quietly, though she smiled with her next action and words. "Hold these for me, okay?" She held them out to Riku, pressing them against his chest a little in a little silly action. She wanted him to cheer up.
Riku rolled his eyes, lifting his hands and grabbing the stuff Lightning pushed into him. He should have figured this would happen. "Yeah, okay," he said. At least he wasn't carrying her purse...which she didn't have. That was perfectly okay with him.

Light hummed quietly, standing closer to Riku and getting on her toes a little as she gave him a light peck on the lips. It was both a "thank you" and a "cheer up". She pulled back and then started on her way over to the long-sleeved shirts. Unfortunately, she didn't see any coats in this store, so she'd have to look somewhere else for one of those. And snow boots.
That kiss, just like any other one, made Riku smile slightly. He looked over his shoulder at Light, watching her go before he decided to follow. What else was there to do? He guessed he could look around and try to help, but he wasn't sure what to even look for.
