Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"You a little bored, Riku?" Light called jokingly over her shoulder, stopping by a display with solid-colored shirts. He obviously was, since he was following her around like a lost puppy dog. It was cute, but it proved to her that she was right in what she thought earlier about Riku not liking shopping.
"I don't usually go shopping unless I need to. It's not exactly my idea of 'fun'," Riku pointed out, stopping next to Lightning but still giving her room. "Kairi used to drag me along all the time, and I had to go in the pink stores." He gave her a look. He was at least thankful she wasn't dragging him in there. That was the nice thing about this trip.

"Gross," Lightning said, scrunching up her nose. That wasn't fun at all. Shopping as a whole wasn't fun for her either, unless she had her sister along. Serah always used to make shopping a little more enjoyable, not that Serah bought too much. She actually liked making her own clothes, and altering some of Light's. That was how it worked with her current, normal outfit.
Riku smiled a little. "Keep looking, baby," he encouraged. He would hold Lightning's stuff until she was ready to check out, and then he would pay for it. This was his idea in the first place, so he wasn't going to be bitter about it.

"Yeah, I'm looking," Light said, glancing at one of the shirts before setting it back down. "I can tell how badly you want to flee the mall." Of course, she was only being sarcastic, joking with him. Riku was being pretty patient, since they had been in this store for a little while and they were only getting a few things. That was how shopping worked with girls, unfortunately.
Riku shook his head, a small smile on his lips as he looked around. "I'm a guy. What do you expect?" he asked, playing along. He thought he spotted a display that he liked, though, it being something Lightning would wear. Maybe he would check it out soon.

"I expected worse," Lightning confessed with a small smirk, looking over at Riku and forgetting the clothes for a minute. "So congrats on proving me wrong from the very start." He wasn't an impatient person, but she expected that to change here. But he was behaving himself and not rushing from display to display, picking out ugly clothes just to get her to leave. He's a quality guy.
Riku turned his head, his eyes finding the pale blue he loved. He smiled slightly, nodding. He was glad that he was different to Light, and that he proved her wrong about this whole thing. He would gladly do anything to make her happy.

"Anyway," Lightning said after a moment. "I think I'm done." These shirts weren't as great as she thought they would be, so they could just take the jeans and tank tops before heading off to another store. She was sure Riku would be glad to hear that they could say they made a little bit of progress by buying stuff in this store.
Riku nodded slightly, though he did motion toward the display he had been looking at. "I think...you could pull off something over there, though," he said softly. There was a nice black cardigan on a mannequin not too far off. He thought she would look great in it.

Light tilted her head a little, arching a brow at Riku's choice. "That?" she said, starting over towards the mannequin. That was a bit surprising. She never pictured Riku to be a guy who would pick out a sweater, but she did like it. It wasn't anything flashy, but it looked warm and cozy. And probably flattering to her figure, too.
"The black cardigan, yeah," Riku said, standing near the mannequin anyway. He let Lightning browse, and hopefully she liked it. He thought it would look good on her, and maybe she would agree. If not, oh well. They would just move on.

"I'm surprised you even know what a cardigan is," Lightning teased, stopping by the rack that had the clothing on it. "But I do like it." She searched through the black ones, seeing that they had one that would be her size. She took it off and looked at it, deciding she'd get it. She could wear one of her tank tops underneath it.
"I blame Kairi," Riku said, glancing to the side slightly. She always dragged him and Sora on shopping trips in the past. He really had no choice.

Light hummed softly, thinking that Riku's reaction was cute. "Alright, then we'll add this to the pile," she said, motioning to what Riku was holding onto. She would be sure to wear the cardigan sometime, since Riku liked it. Of course, he probably would like anything that she wore. She didn't have bad taste in clothing, after all.
Riku looked back to Lightning, nodding slightly. "Alright, let's go," he said, jerking his head toward the counter. He started over there, since he had a majority of Lightning's things. They still had to go get her some sweats, coats, shoes...a lot of things. They would be here for a while.

After all the items were paid for, Light and Riku moved onto another store. And then another, and another, with little success. Only a few shirts and one pair of sweatpants. As the two of them walked into their fourth or fifth store, Lightning started to get irritated with shopping. Why couldn't this be simple? She hoped things would get easier from this point on.
Riku wrapped his arm around Lightning's shoulders, carrying a few of her bags in the other hand. He could sense her tension, and he leaned over, planting a gentle kiss on her head. "Take your time, okay? There's no rush." He was doing this for her, and he still had plenty of money. She could take however long she needed.

Light smiled weakly, though she wouldn't really take her time. She wanted to get this done with. "I don't like shopping," she said, faintly shaking her head as they walked down an aisle. But she suddenly stopped, seeing a brown coat that she actually liked. She could imagine herself in it perfectly, even if she just saw it for a second before stopping. It's a miracle.
Riku smiled slightly at Lightning's words, walking with her until she stopped. That was when his smile fell, wondering what was wrong. Did she find something?

"Riku...do you like that?" Light asked, motioning with her head towards the coat. It had large brown buttons on the front, about six of them. And a belt the same shade as the rest of the coat. It wasn't anything fancy, and she saw a lot of girls wearing similar things around the Islands. But this one seemed nicer to her, even if the price wasn't outrageous like she expected.
Riku followed Lightning's motion, his eyes resting on a coat. She definitely needed one, and he furrowed his eyebrows slightly as he pictured it on her. It...actually wouldn't look that bad. "Yeah," he said with a small nod, his eyes finding her. He did like it, actually.

"Mm," Lightning hummed with a small nod, slipping out from underneath Riku's arm to go over to the rack. She hoped that they had her size, and when she saw they did, she smiled. I should still try it on, though, she thought, taking the coat off the hanger before starting to shrug it on. The fabric was nice, warm.
Riku watched Lightning put the coat on, and he smiled instantly. Even if she didn't have it on all the way, he knew it would already look great.

Lightning did the buttons and the strap, tugging down on the coat when it was on. It fit perfectly, and she didn't have to look in the mirror to know that it looked good. All she had to do was look at Riku's face. "Well?" she prompted with an amused smirk. How did it look?
