Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora made a weak sound of disagreement, but he couldn't counter what Kairi had said. Unfortunately, her actions really did mess up everything that they had together.
"...I don't expect you to forgive me, Sora," the girl continued quietly. "What I did... It was unacceptable, and it's only made everyone miserable." Kairi was tempted to jump down from the tree and just leave, not knowing how this could get better because of how bad it was going. "I shouldn't be forgiven."

Sora felt at a loss for words, not liking to hear Kairi talk like this. Why did she not expect him to forgive her? He always forgave her in the past when she made a mistake, even if it was a terrible one that hurt everyone involved. He swore he would never give up on her, and she was making it sound like his promise meant nothing.

Riku could only stare at Kairi in disbelief. Since when had she believed all of this? He'd never heard her talk in such a way...

Kairi opened her eyes, fighting the tears as she looked over at the boy she still loved. "Your Light wasn't with you when you needed it most," she said weakly. "Your Keyblade shattered because of me... I'm the one who broke your heart."

Sora lifted a hand slightly, his bright blue eyes on the sad girl in front of him. "Don't say that," he protested weakly. Even if it was true, he hated hearing her talk like that. It wasn't as if he blamed her for his loss; he tried not to blame anybody for it.
"No," Kairi said, shaking her head. "It's the truth and you know it." She had to speak the truth now; she couldn't hide it anymore. It would only get worse if she kept the truth from Sora and Riku any longer. And now...she had to go tell Aqua and Terra, as well as Ventus, Roxas, and Namine. This was her fault.
  • Author
"But..." Sora protested again, his voice soft because of his uncertainty. Maybe that was the truth, but he didn't care. He didn't blame her for any of this; couldn't she see that? Shouldn't that have helped ease the guilt?
Kairi felt her eyes watering, but she kept speaking. "But nothing. The truth's the truth," she said. "It's time I own up to my own mistakes." First was confessing, which she had more to do with the others. After that, she wasn't sure.
  • Author
"How do you plan on doing that?" Sora asked softly, managing to form a full sentence now. Kairi was going to give herself harsh judgment, wasn't she? He knew how she was when she felt guilty over something so big.
"...First, I have to tell everyone else, then I'll figure that out," Kairi said, turning her head away. She glanced at Riku before she looked down at the ground, pushing herself lightly off the tree. She needed to go.

Sora swung his legs to the side of the tree and jumped down after Kairi, and he found himself taking a step forward without thinking. He reached out an arm and grabbed Kairi's wrist, keeping her with them.
Kairi only managed to get one foot foward when Sora grabbed her, and she turned her head to look at him. But then, she lowered her gaze. "Let me go...please," she requested. She was about to burst into tears at the guilt within her heart, and she didn't want to do it here.

"I walked away last time," Sora said softly, keeping his grip on Kairi's hand. "I'm not going to let you make the same mistake I did." He should have stayed with Kairi and forced the truth out of her even if it would have caused pain. He could have ended things sooner if he had known what was wrong.
Kairi closed her eyes. "I've made too many already," she said. "One more won't make a difference." Everything that had occurred was because of her, because of her poor choices. She couldn't just dodge them like she had been; she had to take responsibility.
  • Author
Yes it will, Sora thought silently. If you walk away now, you probably won't ever try to make things right. "Confessing your mistake to everyone isn't going to fix anything," he said softly, his grip firm but not hard on Kairi's wrist.
"But it's what's right," Kairi said, opening her teary eyes and lifting her gaze to Sora. "I've been doing everything but that lately. It's a start." She had been running away and avoiding this moment; now that it was here, she needed to continue on her way.
  • Author
"You're letting your guilt control everything, Kairi," Sora said, shaking his head softly. "That's not right." There was so much more going on here than just guilt; she was running away from Sora. Why did she not want to be with him again? He never treated her badly...Did he?
Kairi blinked at that, startled that Sora would say something like that. She then looked away, avoiding his eyes. Was he right? No, it was okay for that to happen to her. She deserved to suffer with the guilt, after all the suffering she caused.
  • Author
"You know how to deal with guilt, or so you think," Sora said, loosening his grip on Kairi's wrist slightly when he felt like he got through to her. "...You're scared about facing the other things you're feeling." He didn't know what those feelings were, but he knew she was afraid to travel down a path that she didn't know.
Kairi only let the wind blow her hair into the side of her face, not wanting Sora to see what was written on her expression. She closed her eyes, a single tear leaving the corner of her eye and trailing down her cheek. She was scared. Why wouldn't she be?
  • Author
"Don't walk away," Sora pleaded softly, releasing Kairi's wrist as he looked at her. "You have to face your fear sometime." It was best that she did it now, when she was with her best friends.
Riku could only watch in stunned silence, looking at Kairi with concerned eyes. She really was torn up inside; he could see that. And he could also tell by how silent she was being that she was unsure about a lot of things, like now. At least she wasn't walking away...
  • Author
When Kairi was silent, Sora kept his eyes on her. He knew he needed to keep talking, or she would start walking away. "Why are you so scared to face me?" he asked softly. She hadn't really spoken deeply to him since she first found out about his Keyblade going away.
"...It's hard," Kairi whispered weakly, feeling another tear leave her eye. First it had been difficult to see him because of Vanitas, but now it was hard to face him because of so much guilt. He had a broken heart because of her...and his Keyblade was gone.
  • Author
"Why?" Sora asked softly, keeping his eyes on Kairi. He hadn't done anything to hurt her, had he? He hadn't done anything that would cause her to fear him...
