A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Lightning tripped Sora up, forcing him to lay on his stomach in the snow. She knelt down and put a knee on his back, fighting the urge to smile. "Next time, you may want to think twice about defending others and worry about defending yourself," she said lowly as her lips started to turn up. Before he could beg for mercy, she pushed herself up so she was standing again. She wouldn't go overboard and torture him or anything.

By this time, Kairi had a snowball in her hand. Now that Lightning was in on the action... The redhead threw a snowball the woman's way, also defending her fiance. We stick together, through everything, she thought silently.

Lightning had enough time to lift an arm to block the snowball, though she was surprised that anybody would throw anything at her. She blinked and looked from one couple to the girl who was standing by herself. Obviously she was the one who threw it, since Sora was just rising to his feet. Oh boy are you in for it now. Either Riku would pay her back or Light would do it herself.

"You better run, Kairi," Riku advised, seeing the redhead's eyes widen. He instantly chuckled, already knowing that Lightning was going to go in for the kill within seconds. It would be couple against couple, if he guessed correctly. Him and Lightning against Sora and Kairi.

"I second that," Sora said, snowball in his hand as he glanced from Riku to Lightning. She eyed him as a threat, and that was the right thing for her to do right now. He faked her out by pretending to throw the snowball at Riku, but in reality, it hit her. It hit the side of her head when she turned, just the hit that he wanted to land. Bring it on.

Kairi shrieked when Riku picked up a snowball in retaliation to the hit Lightning took, and she jumped out of the way before the war begin. "You two are going down!" she cried, amusement in her voice. This was going to be fun.

Namine laughed at the war that started between the couples, shocked to see how easily Lightning got into the swing of things. For somebody so stoic and serious, she looked like she was enjoying herself with this. The blonde believed that she teased Sora before, but she couldn't remember for sure. Either way, this was amusing. But she was glad she was just watching and not getting pelted by snowballs; being in Roxas's arms was so much better than that.

Roxas chuckled at Kairi slipping in the snow when she tried to dodge a snowball, his arms remaining around Namine. He was alright with staying out of the mess, happy with Namine being with him instead. They'd gotten really close over the weekend, even closer than before, which he thought was impossible. But after all they went through recently, it was about time they had some serious bonding time.

The fight went on for a few minutes and Lightning felt herself actually catching onto why this was fun. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, she actually felt like a child. Her eyes widened as she ducked behind Riku when Sora chucked a snowball in her direction, the snow missing her.

Riku chucked a snowball at Sora just after he threw one at Lightning, who used him as her shield. He was perfectly okay with that, even if it was under playful circumstances. His hands were getting numb since he wasn't wearing gloves, but hopefully they would thaw out when he went inside.

Sora grunted when a snowball hit him right in the chest, over his heart. He lifted his hands to his heart as if in agony before he fell down to the ground, on his back. "I surrenderrrrr," he said, drawing out the "r" for emphasis. Riku and Lightning clearly had them beat, so he was ready to call it quits before Kairi got tackled or something.

Riku laughed, before throwing a fist into the air. "Victory!" he hollered in triumph. He heard Kairi chuckle from where she stood, though she approached Sora a few seconds later. Meanwhile, he turned his attention to his partner in crime. They made a good team.

 

Kairi stopped next to her husband-to-be, bending down as she looked at him from where she stood. She smiled. "Comfy down there?" she asked sweetly. He had been seeing a lot of the ground today.

"I'm comfy as long as Riku and Lightning aren't pelting me with snowballs," Sora said lightly, faintly shaking his head against the snow. "Not sure who I'm more afraid of now..." Light had quite an arm, not that he was surprised by that. She was a soldier, after all.

 

Light hummed slightly at Riku's expression, her lips turning up in a slight smirk. I think I understand now how this is fun, she thought as she looked into Riku's eyes. It's so simple and yet it still can turn even the most serious person into a kid again. ...Thanks for sharing it with me.

Riku lifted a hand at Lightning's expression, ruffling her hair as he smirked. Love you, he thought. He lowered his hand after a moment, instead just gazing at the person beside him. He was glad she had fun; he could see it in her eyes. That was all he wanted for her: happiness.

 

"...I'd watch out for Lightning," Kairi said softly, her smile turning a little more wary. Riku was intimidating, but so was Lightning. With the two of them on one team, there was trouble.

Lightning squinted an eye when Riku ruffled her hair, the girl feeling it get damp because of his bare hand. Bare hand? She glanced over at it and grabbed it with her gloved one, feeling how cold it was. You should have worn gloves yourself, idiot, she thought, though the name was one she thought with love.

 

"I think I agree," Sora said with a small sigh, closing his eyes. But if Riku had a chance to get revenge for Lightning, then it would be extremely harsh. Harsher than what Lightning herself would dish out, since she at least had some compassion.

Riku heard Kairi giggle about something, but his focus was on Lightning. He noticed her checking out his hand, and he lifted an eyebrow. "What?" he asked. So what if he wasn't wearing gloves? He was fine...although his hand was numb.

Light lifted her eyes to Riku's face, eyebrows furrowed slightly in seriousness. "Your hand is like ice," she said. She lost her grip on the child-like joy she had a minute ago, more concerned for Riku. Why didn't he wear gloves like the rest of them? He of all people should have known better than this.

Riku shrugged. "It's no big deal," he said casually. True, he couldn't feel anything, barely able to tell that Lightning had a hold of his hand, but that would change as soon as they got inside.

Lightning shook her head, looking back down at the hand. It is to me, she wanted to say, though she had a feeling she was probably over reacting a little bit. But what would Riku have done if she was the one without gloves? He would have been overly concerned too, probably.

Riku was able to move his hand still, and he curled his fingers around Lightning's gloved ones. He then turned his attention to the others, seeing Roxas and Namine all lovey-dovey, as they usually were, while Sora and Kairi were talking about something. "Hey, guys," he called. "How about we go inside?" He caught Roxas nod from the corner of his eye in agreement. Maybe they could warm up and have some hot chocolate. They didn't have much time left up on the mountain, after all.

"Aw, we didn't even build snowmen yet!" Sora whined, shaking his head. He, Kairi, Roxas and Namine had a tradition; they had snowman building competitions every year when it snowed. Sometimes it was couple against couple, other times it was boys against girls. Weren't they going to do that again this year? Or go ice skating somewhere?

"Then go for it," Riku said with a nod in encouragement. "I'm going inside." And by the way Lightning held his hand, he guessed she was coming with him. Unless she wanted to go do something else of course.

Namine arched a brow at Riku's insistence on going inside, the blonde thinking of inviting him and Lightning to build snowmen with them. But the weird vibe she was getting told her not to bother asking, so she didn't. She supposed that it would just be the same couples as previous years, which was okay too.

Kairi noticed the silence, so she decided to break it. "So, what're we waiting for?" she asked with a small smile, her hands linked behind her back. If they were going to build snowmen, they could go do it now. Riku seemed ready to go inside, so she would let him.

"Alright, let's do it!" Sora said with a wide smile, seeing Lightning release Riku's hand and start towards the house. She probably let go just so that she wouldn't be dragging him along with her, though Sora was sure Riku would follow her like a puppy dog anyway. He was such a sap these days.
