Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"See you later," Riku called with a light wave, starting towards the house as well. He caught Roxas nod before going to find a spot for a snowman. They got worked up over those things, which he didn't really understand, but he was going inside to get warm; he couldn't exactly feel his hands.

Light glanced behind her as the other couples began with their game, the girl able to grasp the door knob and easily turn it since she could feel her hand. Her eyes shifted to Riku as he also approached the house. She'd make him some hot chocolate while he got changed, since he had snow shoved down his pants earlier and she didn't.
Riku climbed up the steps, smiling weakly at Lightning as he approached. He nodded toward her to go on in, since he'd be right behind her. He was cold and wanted to get changed, and he was sure she wanted to do the same; both of them were covered in snow and wet.

Lightning stepped inside, stopping a little bit in before she started unbuttoning her wet coat. After this, she'd start heating up the water and then get changed. She was wet, but she wasn't nearly as bad as Riku since he was rolling on the ground quite a few times throughout all the fights.
Riku shut the door behind him, shivering a little when he got chills from entering warmer air so suddenly. He shrugged to get the cold chill to go away, taking off his shoes by the door and stepping past Lightning so he could go change. He was freezing.

Lightning glanced up at Riku when he passed, the young woman taking off her boots. Her socks were wet too, but she would take care of her feet in a few minutes. She went to the kitchen and started heating water. That took a few minutes, enough time for Riku to get changed in the room they were sharing, before she started upstairs herself.
Riku changed into some sweats and a t-shirt while Lightning was busy downstairs, though he threw a hooded sweatshirt over his head as well. He really was cold, and he ran his hands under hot water in the bathroom to warm them up a bit. He knew Lightning was disappointed in him for not wearing gloves, but he didn't plan on being outside too long anyway.

Lightning saw the bedroom door open, so she walked in. She heard the bathroom water running, but it wasn't enough for the shower to be on, so she figured Riku was washing his hands or something. She approached the bed and sat down, pulling off her wet socks.
Riku dried off his hands, though he stuck them in his sweatshirt once he was done. He left the bathroom, but once he saw that Lightning was in the room, he leaned against the wall closest to the door. He gazed at her in silence. Even if she was wet and cold, she was still beautiful in his eyes.

Light stood up after a moment, bare feet on the carpet as she walked a few steps to the suitcase she never fully unpacked. She kept a lot of things in there instead of putting them in a dresser; she was weird like that. Her soldier mentality wouldn't let her settle in one area too long because she was used to her environment changing all the time. And she needed to be ready to leave at a moment's notice. Even if she wasn't a soldier now, this was one habit that she couldn't break.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed when Lightning didn't say a word, the young man confused. "You okay?" he asked in the silence. She hadn't said a word since they'd been inside. Granted, they were in separate rooms, but still. Something didn't feel right.

Lightning blinked at the voice, standing up once she had a shirt, pants, and undergarments in her hand. She looked at Riku in the doorway, having not realized that he was there before. "Yeah, I'm good," she said with a small nod. She just had a few things on her mind; that was all. And that wasn't unusual either.
Riku lifted an eyebrow a little at the woman he loved, confused. She acted like she didn't even know he was there. He knew he was quiet, but she usually sensed his presence. He didn't say anything, though, staying silent.

Light caught some suspicion behind Riku's look, but she just arched a brow at him. "I'm not allowed to be lost in thought every once in a while?" she asked, though she wasn't speaking harshly or defensively. It was more of a way to divert the focus to something else, so that Riku wouldn't try to read her too deeply and dig into what was in her head.
"I'm just confused," Riku admitted softly. He kept his position, his shoulder against the wall as he looked at Lightning from where he stood. She seemed so upset with him a few minutes ago, and now she wasn't saying anything... It was odd.

Lightning smiled weakly, faintly shaking her head. "No need to be confused," she said, starting towards him with her clothes in her hand. "We're on vacation, goof. Lighten up." She stopped in front of him and lifted a hand, lightly flicking his nose with her finger.
Riku blinked, shaking his head a little after the flick. He gave Lightning an even more puzzled look, but he found himself smirking a little. Whatever, he thought, pushing his worries aside. "Get cleaned up," he told her softly. "I'll meet you downstairs." He stared at her for another moment before pushing himself away from the wall, starting toward the door.

Light watched Riku go for a minute before she went into the bathroom and shut the door, starting to get changed out of her wet clothes. She didn't know why she was acting so odd; she guessed she was a little sad that she wasn't feeling like a kid anymore. The feeling didn't last as long as she had wanted it to and now she was trying to cover that up.

The next day

Riku pulled his hands out of the pockets of his jacket, approaching the daycare center. He drove the car back to town from the cabin up in the mountains, the rest of his friends there. He was here to pick up Lightning, since the six of them were going to spend New Years together. He opened the door to the center and looked around, the place quiet.

Lightning sat on one of the couches in the day care, her eyes briefly going to the door when she heard somebody come in. She wasn't too shocked when it was Riku; it wasn't like parents were coming any time soon. She only was watching one child now, and her parent wouldn't be coming until after dinner. Despite the shift being longer than Namine's normal ones, Lightning didn't mind covering for her so she could have more time with Roxas. And besides, she secretly didn't mind children. She hoped her boyfriend would feel the same, since he could either stay with her and the kid who was nearly asleep with her head in her lap or leave.
Riku spotted Lightning within seconds, recognizing the scene. He smiled faintly and lifted a hand in a small wave, shutting the door with the other. He was surprised when Light decided to take the shift at the daycare, but another part of him really wasn't; she was good with children, even if she didn't like to admit it.

Lightning lifted a hand and waved slightly to Riku, rolling her eyes slightly at his expression. It was clear what he was thinking, and what he thought of the little girl falling asleep on her. But oh well; he could think what he wanted. Sitting here reminded her of countless times in the past when Serah fell asleep on her. She actually just got a letter from her sister earlier that day, one that she found when she stopped by her house. She was doing well from what Light gathered. But this scene right here made her think of someone else too...Someone she hadn't thought about it a while.
Riku smirked when he caught Light rolling her eyes, approaching her quietly. "That's cute," he told her softly, not wanting to wake the girl that was nearly asleep in his girlfriend's lap.

Lightning fought the urge to roll her eyes again as her hand found the couch again. "You're cute," she said sarcastically, voice soft as she brought the attention off herself and the kid. But she had to admit, she was a darling. Lightning had insisted that she lay down in one of the cribs to sleep, but she coaxed her way onto her lap somehow. It was okay since she had no reason to stand up right now.
Riku's smirk turned prideful. "I always knew you thought so," he commented, sitting down next to Lightning and lifting a hand to the opposite side of her head, lightly pulling her in so he could plant a kiss in her pink hair. He held it for a moment before releasing her, his eyes finding her once more.
