Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"What was she like?" Riku prodded gently. He let his thumb travel over the skin of Lightning's hand, his eyes set on that. He didn't want the woman he loved to feel any pressure behind his gaze.

"A lot like my Mom, and Serah," Lightning said, feeling Riku's smooth motion over one of her hands. This was the first time she spoke of Averia in years; most of the time she didn't tell anyone about her sister. There was so much death in Light's life that if they knew she lost so many, they'd start pitying her. And pity was the last thing she wanted.
"Mm," Riku hummed with a small nod. That meant Averia was kind, then, much like Serah. Riku didn't know Light's mother, and never would, but he trusted Light's judgment. If she said Averia was anything like Serah and her mother, he believed it.

Light knew that she didn't have any pictures of Averia left; all of her family photos were destroyed when Cocoon fell. That was partially what helped her really move on, but that was beside the point. Talking about this now reminded her of how little Riku knew about her life. It wasn't something she was very open about, but Riku was a special person in her life. He had the right to know.
"....Who else knows?" Riku asked after a small moment of silence passed. He wasn't going to ask how the incident happened; he wouldn't take it that far. He could see that Lightning was still taking this quite hard, so he wouldn't pester her any further than what he was right now.

Lightning shrugged faintly. "Serah." She was the only other person who knew about Averia that was still alive. A few other people probably heard that the Farrons lost a daughter, but they weren't close so Lightning didn't consider them when answering the question. Riku and Serah were the only ones who knew right now, and she didn't talk about it with Serah. She wanted her remaining sister to retain some degree of innocence. It wasn't like the death was brutal, it was just sad. She figured Riku would ask about that next, and it was okay.
Riku nodded again, his eyes still resting on Lightning's hand. He wasn't sure what to say next. Did he ask about the death? He was a little uncomfortable going that far, since he didn't want to put pressure on Lightning and hurt her by even asking. He never wanted to give her pain. He was the one who was supposed to take it away.

Light figured Riku was wondering about something, so she'd answer it without asking. "Dad died a few months after Averia was born of an unknown disease," she said softly, elaborating even if Riku didn't say anything. "Mom was heartbroken; she couldn't even look at Averia for the first month. After that it was hard too for her, so I took care of Averia. Eventually she could look at her face and not see my dad. She started healing." But then things changed.
Riku grunted softly, not knowing how else to react. That was...awful. A mother neglecting her child after losing the father? He couldn't even imagine...

"But Averia started getting sick when she was around two. She showed the same symptoms as my Dad did before he got really bad." Obviously it wasn't good, enough, because... "A year later, she passed. My mom was never the same. I raised Serah when I wasn't sneaking away and searching for Ven and started taking care of her when she got sick." Lightning looked up at the ceiling, eyes soft. "It wasn't the same sickness that hit her right after Averia died. If anything, I think a broken heart was what caused her to pass." It was tragic.
Riku squeezed Lightning's hand, his fingers curled around one of hers now. "...Sorry, Light," he apologized softly, not knowing what else to say. In just a few years, she lost three loved ones. And then later, her other parents. It was terrible.

Light nodded faintly against the back of the couch, still looking up at the ceiling. Her shoulders slumped and her eyes shut briefly, the young woman feeling surprisingly at peace about it. She was sad of course, but just telling somebody took weight off her shoulders. She didn't even realize she was carrying that weight around until just now.
Riku continued rubbing his thumb over Lightning's skin, sitting in silence. Her story--her life--made him appreciate what he had a little more. What would have happened to him if he lost his parents when he was younger? Would he have even survived?

Lightning leaned her head against Riku's shoulder, feeling his warmth right up against her side and arm. Thanks, she thought as she kept her eyes shut. He made her feel so unpressed that she actually opened up for once. It was rare that she did that, and with that in mind, she still couldn't think of anything to add to the current conversation. She already said a lot.
Riku turned his head, kissing Lightning's pink hair briefly. He pulled back, gazing over at the little girl in the crib. "Once you're done here, we'll head back up to the cabin," he told her softly. He would help relieve her stress there, as well as the others.

Lightning nodded faintly against Riku's shoulder, her eyes opening. There was a clock across the room that let her know how much time they had until the child's parent would come. "It'll be another half hour," she guessed softly. That was a little while longer, but the story telling took up some time. Hopefully the rest would fly by that quickly.
"That's okay," Riku whispered gently. He could fill the time by telling the events the happened today, especially between him, Sora, and Roxas. Snowball fights never held any mercy between them; they duked it out. Maybe something like that would help cheer Light up.

Light hummed softly, shifting her hand so that it grasped Riku's. But then she reached across both of their bodies with her other arm and embraced him lightly. She didn't really have anything to say, but this was her way of staying close to Riku. She appreciated him in so many ways...And someday she wanted to marry him. She couldn't imagine life without him by her side.
Riku lifted his free hand to rest against Light's head of pink hair, his fingertips nestled into the strands. You're strong, he told her silently. He admired that about her more than just about anything. He would always be her protector, though, despite that.

Lightning shut her eyes again and felt Riku's fingertips in her hair, the feeling somehow bringing about a stronger feeling of peace. Riku was strong like she was; he wouldn't die off any time soon. He was too stubborn. She hoped that she had him in the rest of her life, and that that life would be a long one. A long one, full of life, love, and joy.

At Yen Sid's Tower

Aqua approached the large door that would lead her to Master Yen Sid's chamber, her lips set in a firm line and her eyebrows pulled together in seriousness and curiosity. What could the Master want from her so suddenly? She was summoned to him only a few hours ago, told to come as soon as she was available. Of course, she had to leave Terra and Ventus behind, but what was so urgent that the Master only had to speak with her? The young woman approached the door and pushed it open, the magical room appearing before her.

Master Yen Sid looked up from his book the moment he heard the door open, though he was not surprised that Aqua entered at that exact moment. "Master Aqua," he greeted with a stern nod. He remained seated at his desk and gazed at the Keyblade Master, knowing that he was about to assign her an unpleasant task. But she was the one that he trusted to complete it, and he did not trust many.

Aqua approached Master Yen Sid's desk, stopping a foot from it. She bowed ever so slightly in respect. "You have summoned me, Master," she told him softly. She straightened, her eyes finding his at once. The former Keyblade wielder was never one to show much emotion, but she sensed an uncomfortable vibe. It was then that she knew that she wasn't summoned out of the need to speak with an old friend. It was much greater than that.

Master Yen Sid nodded faintly once more, though he then got down to business. "A great evil stirs in the Realm of Darkness," he stated. He sensed it in his bones, and it was growing worse and worse by day. "Darkness this great has the ability to conquer the Realm of Light if something is not done to stop it." He knew it wouldn't be easy, and the fight would be unlike any other the Keybladers fought before. But they had to defeat this force or it was the end of life as they knew it.

Aqua frowned instantly, her hands balling into loose fists. However, she kept her composure. "You would like me to be the one to end it," she assumed quietly. The Realm of Darkness--it was too strong for Terra and Ven, which was why she was summoned instead. She was the only one of the trio that made it out of there unscathed...
