Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I can't lose you, Claire," Riku admitted softly, releasing a small breath. Her words were flattering, but he couldn't accept them. "I'd rather lose myself to the Darkness than lose you." He loved her, and he wouldn't let her sacrifice herself for him. That wasn't what he wanted. He never wanted that.

"You don't have to worry about losing me," Lightning said softly. "I won't rest until Xehanort's finally gone, along with Ansem. I think that's why I'm alive now, Riku," she realized. She nearly died several times, and in an alternate life, she did. She was brought back by Riku and now she could fight. She as here to not only fight for him, but to fight for her younger brother. This was her purpose.
Riku didn't know what to say to that, silenced by her reasoning. He lowered his head slightly, running his thumb over the skin of Light's wrist as he remained quiet. He knew she was stubborn and wouldn't give up until this war was over, but he didn't want her risking his life for him...even if fighting for him was partially her goal.

"Trust me," Lightning said softly, her eyes on Riku's blindfold as she gazed at him. "That's all I ask." She wouldn't give up on him, even if he lost himself. She didn't want to believe it would happen, but it was a possibility. Riku's current attitude wasn't going to help anything, even if he did have a reason to be down in the dumps. It was okay. She'd fight for him.
"Mm," Riku hummed quietly. He did trust her; he always had. He was just scared for her. Riku knew Lightning was strong, but it was Ansem he was worried about. He would use her as bait, or that was what Riku feared. Riku wouldn't give him that chance. If he even said Lightning's name in the wrong context, Riku was his. It was that simple.

Light lifted her other hand, her fingers lightly going over the side of Riku's blindfold. She didn't know the specific reasons behind the blindfold, but she assumed that it would help him cope with the situation at hand. If he wanted to tell her, he could. She would only ask if the situation got really severe and she needed to know.
"I know what you're thinking," Riku stated softly, having let a small moment of silence pass. She was curious about the blindfold. "It's a part of my past that helped me cope with the Darkness, after it consumed me. I have a feeling it's going to happen again, if not come close, so I'm saving others the trouble of having a hard time looking me in the eye." He didn't want anyone sending him curious or worried glances; he didn't want pity. He sensed it in the past, before he had the cloth, so now he was beating it to the punch. It was best this way.

Light shook her head softly as her hand found Riku's hair. "It'll only happen if you let it," she said quietly, referring to the Darkness taking him. She believed in Riku, and his ability to fight back and conquer this. The only way that it would consume him was if he completely gave up. And even if he did give up, she'd fight and bring him back. She wasn't going to accept losing him.
"Trust me, I don't want this to happen," Riku said, his eyes on Lightning through the thin fabric. He moved his hand from her wrist and down her arm, releasing a breath. "I'm just preparing myself in case it does." He didn't want to be caught off-guard by it again, not like the last time. He had been so unprepared he almost didn't come back.

"Just be equally as prepared to fight back," Light said, eyebrows furrowing slightly in seriousness. She knew Riku was preparing himself for the worst, but the worst could still be avoided as long as he stayed strong. She wanted to protect him completely, but she knew she'd have her own problems in battle. Xehanort was one of them.
Riku nodded ever so slightly, knowing he would fight this all he could. But...he just had this feeling. Things weren't going to go his way, or Light's, this time. Was his destiny already written in stone?

Lightning's hand slid out of Riku's hair to his shoulder, the young woman turning slightly to the side as she looked the direction Riku had been gazing before. This was a beautiful world, but she already knew that. Standing here, alone with Riku, reminded her of when she went five years into the future and was here alone with him most of the time. Those were days that she would always cherish.
Riku couldn't see well behind his blindfold, but it didn't hinder his ability to use his other senses. There was a tug on his heart that was almost painful, causing him to grunt--both out of pain and out of fear. "...Ansem," he muttered. He could feel him...and he was close.

Lightning blinked, looking up at Riku again in confusion. "What?" She didn't understand why he randomly said Ansem's name, but she could see his disgusted expression. Maybe he was just thinking about the man and all the trouble he was causing.

"He said, 'Ansem'," the man said as he appeared at the bottom of the steps with his loyal guardian behind him. He immediately noticed Lightning's eyebrows furrow, and he only hmphed at it. "What, you expected me to stay away?" Not only him, but the others too. If she thought he was the only one to come, she was sadly mistaken.

Riku grunted at the voice, knowing he hadn't been hallucinating when he felt Ansem's presence. He was taller than Lightning, so he could naturally see over her head and down at the man who was at the bottom of the steps. He had to admit that he was afraid, but he covered it up by gritting his teeth. He doubted that would actually convince Ansem, though; he was sly.

Aqua stopped midsentence, having been speaking to the others as they stood in the kitchen. But she suddenly felt sick; only the Darkness did that to her. Something was wrong...

Lightning took her hand off Riku's shoulder, taking a step forward so she was in front of him. She said that she would fight for him, and she meant it. Ansem wasn't going to have his way, not today, or any day. She'd make sure of it. She put her hand on her weapon, prepared to take it out at a moment's notice.

"That's not a very kind welcome," Ansem said, folding his arms over the chest. "Hopefully you'll give my other halves more grace than that." To his right, Master Xehanort himself appeared with his Keyblade already in his grasp. They came here to take what was rightfully theirs, and more.

Xemnas portaled out of a Dark Corridor, a sly smile on his lips when he appeared at the bottom of the steps as well. "Where are the other heroes?" he asked. "Have they left you two to fall to us alone? How unfortunate." It was the opposite, however; he knew they were inside. And everyone was ready, except for that rotten Vanitas. Xemnas was aware that he didn't take orders well anymore. He would show up on his own.

"We're right here, Xemnas!" Sora called, standing a few feet behind Riku and Lightning. The others stood along side of him, since they all came running the moment that they sensed an unwelcome presence. So far it was just Xehanort, Xemnas, and Ansem. They'd be a handful, but they were vastly unnumbered by Sora and his friends. Maybe they could end this right now!
Riku tensed at the arrival of his friends, having the thought of his blindfold at that time. His friends would see it, but the more important situation was the fact that the remnants were here. His hands balled into fists as he sensed the Darkness, knowing Ansem was probably forcing more upon him on purpose.

"And the only ones who are going to fall today are you," Sora finished, walking forward and standing next to Lightning. He noticed Riku's blindfold out of the corner of his eye, but it didn't phase him. Somehow, he expected Riku to be wearing it. He was coping with Ansem's presence in the world, after all. Whatever Riku needed to do to keep his head on straight was fine with Sora.

"On the contrary," Xehanort said, glancing to Terra and Ventus standing by the door. "I believe more than one of you will fall today. I've enlisted extra help to ensure that." Not only the Heartless and Unversed (the latter showing up whenever Vanitas did), but he also found another enemy to face the girl who chased him for several years. He would keep her most occupied. He shifted his bright yellow eyes to her, seeing her glaring at him.

When Xehanort focused on Lightning, Riku instantly became protective. He summoned his Keyblade, gripping it tightly. If he laid a finger on her....

"And a portion of that extra help comes from me." Vanitas appeared out of a Dark Corridor, his helmet down as he let the portal vanish behind him. He stood a few yards behind the others, but the heroes could still see him. He smiled darkly, walking forward slowly with his Keyblade at his side. He was ready to get this over with and take Ventus out for good.

Ven scoffed, taking a step forward and summoning his Keyblade to his grasp. Vanitas... Of course he was here too. But he said a portion of the help was coming from him. Who else was going to help Xehanort and his team? Ven couldn't think of any other huge threat except Maleficent, but she was taken care of a long time ago.

Another walked out Vanitas's portal, the child holding a long staff in his hand with a moon-shaped crescent at the top of it. His clothes were white with buttons down the top shirt, reflecting innocence that he did not possess. He was here for one person specifically, though she may not recognize him immediately. He did give off a certain vibe that she should recognize.

Lightning blinked at the presence of the child who was half Vanitas's height, a slight grunt leaving her. A child? She never saw this enemy before, but something about him was so familiar to her that she felt startled. Who was he?

Vanitas looked to his side, smirking at the sight of the boy. Let's see what this kook can do, he thought, referring to Orphan. Hard to believe he was in the body of some kid, but it was his power that was most important, not appearance. His golden eyes located Ven before resting on Lightning, his smirk remaining. She knew who it was.

"What's the matter, Claire? Don't recognize me?" Orphan asked with a slight smirk on his childish face. His light purple hair blue in a slight breeze, his purple eyes remaining on the soldier.

Lightning's eyes widened at the name, though she felt dumbfounded. She knew that voice! She knew it even if she wasn't in contact with that person for a very long time. But it couldn't be him...She killed him along with all of her other friends to save Cocoon. There was no way that he was alive now. It was impossible.

Riku didn't like this game the kid was playing, if that was even what he was. Knowing Xehanort, the person before them was far from a child. "Who are you?" he demanded, not liking how Lightning was so silent. That meant it was someone she knew...and not under fortunate circumstances.
