Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Let's not be too hasty, Keyblade Master," Orphan said smoothly, his voice the same as it had been when Lightning faced him last. "Let's wait for Claire to answer, hm?" He would antagonize her; that was the task that Xehanort gave him. It was what he would have done anyway, since Lightning killed him. He was thankful for that, but now he was alive once more and ready to exterminate her.
Roxas didn't like this, whatever was happening. He was confused and frustrated, his eyes on the kid before flashing to Xehanort and then Xemnas. He had a score to settle with him, and he would get to it when the time called for it. Until then, he would remain silent, much like the others.

Lightning took a small step forward, going down onto the next step. "It can't be," she said mostly to herself. She tightened her grip on her weapon in her bag, eyes narrowing on the child. It was the same voice, same demeanor, same manner of taunting. "...Orphan?" She said it as a question, unsure of if it was actually him or not. Was this some kind of a trick?

"Precisely," Orphan said with a nod and a small smirk of satisfaction. The others looked lost; they probably had no idea who he was or what he did. He would explain, if Lightning didn't before him.

Light grunted, squeezing her eyes shut briefly at the confirmation. Orphan. This was the same Orphan who doomed her planet and kept having Fal'Cie make l'cie to kill him. If he hadn't done that, Cocoon wouldn't have been standing on its crystal pillar, and then it wouldn't have fallen due to Carson and other people who wanted to summon the Maker. She curled her free hand into a fist, feeling the rage building up. "You were supposed to burn in Hell!" she suddenly cried in fury. How was he alive?!

Riku heard Lightning's outburst, remaining silent. He knew instantly she was furious, catching the rough tone of her voice. Whoever Orphan was, he caused Lightning a lot of grief and anger. That instantly infuriated Riku.

Xemnas's small smile remained at the outburst, happy with Orphan's effect on the soldier. Terrific, he thought silently. This was going to be a wonderful moment of confrontation. He heard a small chuckle from Vanitas behind him, making his smile grow ever so slightly.

"I already burned in Hell, before you and your friends were kind enough to awaken me the first time," Orphan said with a small smile. "Then, when you killed me, you freed me from my bondage and bought me my freedom. I was born so that I might have died, and I died so that I may now live." This would be his final existence, though; not even Fal'Cie could live forever. That was alright; he would not die at Lightning's hand this time. He already gained so much in this life, including summoning the Maker and completely destroying Cocoon. He had been alive and a part of that elaborate plot, pulling the strings like a perfect puppet master.
Aqua felt her eyes narrow at Orphan's words, connecting the dots and assuming Lightning's friends from Cocoon were the reason why Orphan died in the past. But he was reborn after death, which was why he was here. "Save the speech," she ordered, stepping forward and down one step. "What's your purpose here?" Why was he reborn? Was he here to taunt Lightning, or did he have a greater purpose?

"Claire released me from my life, and because of that, I received complete power," Orphan said. He gave a small hmph, pointing his weapon at Lightning. "I'd like to return the favor," he concluded lowly. He would release Lightning from her life, but for different reasons. She would pass because of her unwillingness to assist him in his goals and getting in the way of Cocoon falling right after his death.

"Stop calling me that," Claire mumbled mostly to herself, though her voice was low with fury. She didn't want that name to be used to taunt her anymore. And she didn't want Orphan here, either. He didn't deserve to live. And he wouldn't be taking away her life today. She would be taking his instead.

Riku placed a hand on Lightning's shoulder, stepping forward to be beside her. "If you want to get to her, you're going to have to go through me," he growled. He could tell how much Orphan affected Lightning, something that was unsettling even to him. He wasn't fond of it, so he would take on Orphan instead. Like Light said to him earlier, Riku wouldn't let Orphan win.

"Of course," Xehanort said with a small chuckle while Orphan smirked at the couple. "We'd expect chivalry like that from a Keyblade Master." But Riku would have bigger problems than defending Lightning from Orphan; Ansem would be going for him. This whole battle would turn to chaos soon enough.
"So why don't you get straight to the point?" Roxas said, speaking up for the first time since the enemies arrived. "You want to end our lives, and we want to end yours. So let's skip the small talk." He summoned his Keyblades to him, twirling and then slashing them to his sides. He wanted to end this...now.

Our goals are not nearly so linear, Ansem thought to himself, though he summoned his staff to his hand. "As you wish," he said with a small smirk. He opened his hand and sent dark orbs flying at Lightning and Riku, though specifically Lightning. He knew he would get under Riku's skin with the move, and that was exactly what he desired. All would be going according to plan soon enough.

Riku stepped over immediately, holding his Keyblade up and creating a shield in front of him to deflect the orbs. Once the attack was finished, he ground his teeth together and fired off a spell of his own--Dark Aura. He wasn't afraid to use his Darkness, even if the sight of Ansem shook him to the core.

Vanitas chuckled, his golden eyes glinting with amusement. "About time," he darkly declared. He then took off, heading straight for his own target: Ventus. Out of the corner of his eye he caught Roxas and Xemnas going at it as well, but it wasn't like he cared. He had his own goals here.

Lightning ran down the steps while Riku's spell went for Ansem, though the man teleported to get between her and her target. She skidded to slow herself down when she was in front of Ansem, ducking to avoid his swinging staff while Orphan ran past her to go for Riku. She did say that she would fight Ansem for Riku, but she really wanted to kill Orphan! Regardless, she didn't have much of a choice now; she was locked in a battle with Ansem. To her left, she saw Terra run past her and head for Xehanort, which surprised her for some reason. She thought he would be afraid of him.

Eraqus knew that he would have to assist in getting rid of Xehanort, or at least holding him off. He summoned his Keyblade to him and fired off the chains of Light just like before, watching his spell soar past Master Aqua as she dodged a misfire from Xemnas's own spells. You will not take my son, he thought, his eyes on Xehanort. He would not lose his children to the man again.

Riku grunted when he noticed the tides had turned, enemies switching on them. He darted toward Lightning to hold off Ansem, but he noticed someone else coming his way. Her own arch enemy, Orphan. Fine. You're mine.

Sora's eyes darted around the chaos that immediately ensued when good and evil joined in the midst of each other, the brunet trying to figure out where he was needed most. He quickly figured it out. Roxas. He ran over to help his Nobody, glancing at Riku out of the corner of his eye. He was concerned for him; they knew nothing about Orphan or how he fought. They'd have to be careful. Regardless, Sora joined the battle with Xemnas while the others faced the foes that they were forced to combat.
Riku engaged in battle with Orphan, though his moves were far from predictable. Riku knew he was getting into something dangerous when he went after him, since he had no idea what he was capable of, but it was something he would do...for Lightning. He glanced over at her during his battle to see how she was doing, hearing Roxas cry out from a swing by Xemnas, spells ringing out around him from the other fights. This was chaos, and he had a feeling it wouldn't have the best end result.

The chaos felt like it went on for a long time for Lightning, the soldier continually trying to get rid of Ansem permanently by dealing a fatal blow. He was too slick, and she could tell by his actions that he had something up his sleeve. She just didn't know what yet. She swung her sword at him yet again, grunting as she was blocked. She pressed her weapon against his to try and overpower him, hearing him hmph and look at her with a satisfied expression. I hate you, she immediately thought, pressing harder but not getting any closer to overpowering him. She hated him for making Riku so afraid. He'd pay.
Aqua offered her help with multiple fights, dancing around the area whenever she saw her friends in trouble. She swung at Vanitas only to see him freeze in midair, aware of what was coming; she glanced up just in time to see him swing, sending her flying. She landed roughly on the stairs, but she disregarded her pain and saw that Sora needed her protection. She sent a barrier in his direction when lasers circled his form because of Xemnas's spell, watching the shield deflect it just in time. This was crazy! There were too many fights going on at once!

This is ridiculous! Ven thought in anger, swinging his Keyblade at Vanitas from behind when he attacked Aqua. There weren't even Unversed and Heartless here, and yet things were fairly evenly matched. Terra and Master Eraqus were focused on Xehanort, Sora and Roxas on Xemnas, and with the exception of Aqua, everyone else had one designated enemy. Ven just wanted his misery to end; he wanted to kill Vanitas now so he could not only escape him but help his other friends with their demons.
Vanitas stumbled forward, but instantly turned around to retaliate. He would pull the trick that was up his sleeve soon enough. Ventus would be his to control again, but only when the time was right. Until then, it was time to play the game his way.

It is time! Ansem realized quickly, seeing a dangerous attack from Lightning coming in his direction. "Come, Guardian!" he cried suddenly, needing his Guardian to save him from this rough attack. He wasn't getting a fatal wound today. The Guardian came out from behind him with claws raised, prepared to seize Lightning. The soldier lifted an arm to shield herself from what she thought was a simple physical attack, but it was much more than that.
Riku heard the outcry and turned his head, stopping midswing in his own attack against Orphan. He was badly wounded, having not been prepared for what Orphan could do, but that wasn't his main concern. He knew that command and what was about to happen, and he wouldn't let it. He raced forward, getting in the way. "No!" he hollered, shoving Lightning out of the way roughly to save her from the attack. It was then that Riku cried out in pain, feeling the Guardian's claws come in contact with his skin. But the worst pain was when the Darkness seeped into his core.

Lightning grunted roughly when she was shoved away, rolling a little before she stopped on her stomach. She looked up and saw the Guardian slowly vanishing from sight, going...into Riku. She reached for the weapon that was out of her grasp but suddenly felt a fireball impact her hand and the weapon, knocking it further away from her. Orphan. She didn't look up at him, looking at her boyfriend instead. "Riku!" she cried in horror. No!
Riku's cries continued, a blood-curtling scream leaving him as he dropped his Keyblade, his back arched and head tilted towards the sky as the Guardian seeped into his body. His Keyblade vanished as soon as it touched the ground, the young man lifting his hands to grip his head of silver hair as he then hunched forward. The Darkness burned, setting his veins on fire before it finally reached his heart. No! he thought helplessly, another holler of agony leaving him. Little did he know that his outcries were silencing the battlefield, multiple glances coming his way because of the noise.

"Ansem, stop!" Lightning cried, picking herself off the ground without trying to take a hold of her weapon again. She ran the distance between them and threw her fist at his face, though his hand came up and intercepted hers. She was about to lift her other to slug him when he swung his staff at her stomach.

"Enough," Ansem growled at Lightning, seeing that he knocked the wind out of her. She sank down to her knees in front of him pitifully, unable to help the one she loved. It was too late anyway.
