A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"Uh..." Sora said dumbly, feeling Kairi's skin against his. "I'm just...not used to this." And by "this", he was obviously referring to Kairi's affection. He had received affection from Selphie for a little while, but Kairi's was more subtle, gentle, and sincere.

Kairi's smile grew slightly, and she nodded in understanding. "Me too," she said quietly. This definitely felt foreign, but it also felt familiar. She missed it...

"Does this mean that we're...?" Sora asked his question without finishing it, knowing that Kairi would understand what he meant. Were they back together? He hoped they were...He had missed this feeling too much to lose it now.

Kairi only looked at Sora, and she felt her smile fade slightly. However, it didn't go away completely. "I don't know. Are we?" she countered, wondering if this was what he wanted. She did, by her obvious sign of affection--her hand on his cheek.

Sora felt a soft smile appear on his lips, this being the biggest one he wore in front of Kairi in a while. He nodded slightly, his eyes set on hers. "I hope so," he said softly. She did want this, didn't she? He knew how badly he wanted it...Please don't let this be a dream.

Kairi's smile only grew, the girl gazing at Sora with gentle eyes. So he wanted this...and so did she. In her eyes, that was enough. After everything they'd been through, it was more than enough.

Sora kept a soft smile on his lips, his eyes locked on Kairi's. He lifted his hands and lightly held Kairi's lower arms, showing a small amount of affection for the girl that he loved. The girl he would be with forever.

"It may have seemed like I lost faith in you," Kairi said then, her smile still remaining despite her words. "But I never stopped loving you, Sora." That was impossible really, considering how close they were. Their destinies were permanently intertwined.

Sora's soft smile only widened, and he couldn't stop himself from what he did next. He took his hands off Kairi's arms and moved them to her back, the teen stepping a little closer and embracing her for the first time in a very long while.

Kairi's eyes widened slightly at the sudden embrace, but her smile widened. Her hand that had been on Sora's cheek was now on his shoulder, but that was alright. She lifted her other arm and grasped his shirt, liking this close proximity they were in.

Sora bent his head down a little bit, his cheek lightly on top of Kairi's head. "I never stopped loving you, Kai," he said softly, squeezing her lightly. He never, ever, would stop doing that.

Kairi closed her eyes. Sora's words and his embrace on her caused that, along with the skipping of her heart. She would have thought she would regret confessing that she knew she was the reason Sora wasn't getting better. But...it led to this, and she didn't regret it at all.

Sora lightly ran a hand over Kairi's back, his other hand coming up and lightly sitting on the back of her head and neck. He hadn't held her for so long; he was going to enjoy this embrace while he could.

Kairi couldn't deny that she missed this. When she was afraid of her nightmares, she wanted nothing more than for Sora to hold her. But at the time, it had been impossible. And now, when she least expected for this to happen, he was here...holding her. Kairi's grasp on Sora's shirt tightened a little, the girl finally starting to feel a little better.

Sora shut his eyes after a few moments, relaxed as he held Kairi and she held him back. They really were back together again. Earlier, he had been afraid that their friendship was ruined, but now they were a couple again! Thank goodness things were finally working out.

Kairi turned her head a little when a breeze blew, nuzzling the side of her face a little more into Sora's neck. It wasn't because she was cold, but she missed this feeling. She missed his touch and his warmth, even the small tickle his spikes were causing against her forehead now.

Sora sighed, content. He was holding her so closely, and the way her face was against his neck, it felt like he could protect her from any emotional hurt. It felt like he could be her protector again, even without the Keyblade.

Kairi heard Sora's sigh, and it only made her smile widen a little more. He seemed happy...and that was all she had wanted for a while. She didn't want him to be miserable anymore. And at the same time, she wanted to be happier too. And she was getting there, but this was a big step.

I'll always protect your heart, Sora thought, though he wasn't speaking to Kairi then. It was a vow that he made to her without her knowledge. That was alright with him; he had a lot of promises to her that she didn't know about. But he kept those promises despite that.

"I missed you..." Kairi said, unable to keep her mouth shut. She had been wanting to say that for so long, but she never found in appropriate. Especially when she and Sora were just friends. But now that they were something more, she could finally say it.

Sora kept his eyes shut, turning his head and pressing his lips against Kairi's red hair for a few moments before he pulled back. "I missed you too," he said softly.

"Hm," Kairi hummed, glad to hear that. She'd missed a lot about Sora while they were separated. She missed his hugs, his kisses, holding his hand, his smile and laughter, as well as his blue eyes. And she missed just being with him, especially like this. It was really hard for her, and she was sure it was hard for him too.

Sora was no longer rubbing Kairi's back now, so he started running a hand over Kairi's smooth red hair. A few strands managed to go between his fingers, and he felt relaxed because of how natural this was.

Kairi opened her eyes, and behind Sora she could see Riku on the beach. Somehow, she knew that he would be watching, and he was. From here, she could tell that even he had a smile on his face, and she knew that he was happy for them. Finally, things were going right for once.

Sora eventually stopped running his hand over Kairi's hair, the teen content with just standing still. He couldn't tell if this healed his heart or not, but he knew that it wouldn't hurt. Things were on the right track now, so maybe he would get his Keyblade back soon.
