Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Aqua had stopped what she was doing at the ear-splitting screams, her wide eyes on the youngest Keyblade Master. "Riku?!" she yelped in fear. What was happening to him?! She didn't have much time to think about it, Xemnas taking the opportunity to strike her in the back.

Riku sank to his knees, his screams dying out after a minute as he trembled, still gripping his head. He felt a change within him, the Darkness taking over his vulnerable heart. The fire in his chest began to die off, turning to a slow burn before fading completely. The Darkness.... It was within him.

Ansem bent down a little bit and gripped Lightning's face, pulling her forward a little bit before shoving her. She fell back onto her side and back with a grunt, curled up slightly as she tried to regain her breath. He saw Orphan watching in pleasure, though he did not move to finish her off. While he was distracted, Sora swung at him and sent him flying, away from Lightning and his best friend.

"Riku!" Sora cried, keeping his Keyblade in his grasp as he ran over to his best friend. He recognized what happened, though he had never seen the Guardian fully possess somebody before. He skidded to a halt right by him, eyes wide as he reached to put a hand on his shoulder. He wasn't too late, was he? He couldn't...

Riku had his hands still gripping his head, sitting on his knees on the ground. He breathed heavily as the trembling finally ended, and he let his hands fall from his head. Because he had been gripping his head so tightly, he loosened his blindfold; it fell away from his face, revealing closed eyes as he kept his head lowered. Combat was barely taking place, Xemnas jumping away from Roxas's swings and Vanitas chuckling before flipping toward the stairs to put distance between himself and Ventus. He tensed under the hand that rested on his shoulder, his hands curling into fists as they rested on his thighs.

Lightning picked herself up off the ground, ignoring the other lingering fights while she made her way over to her boyfriend. She too knelt down by Riku, setting her other hand on Riku's shoulder. "Riku..." she said shakily, tightening her grip on his shoulder. For the first time in this whole thing, she wasn't angry. She was scared. Actually, terrified. Riku couldn't have been taken by Ansem...She promised she would protect him from this! She promised she'd fight this demon for him, but now...
Riku's knuckles turned white at how tightly he had curled his fists at the other hand. The Light... It's too much. "Both of you," he managed, his voice darker than normal. "...Get off of me." He couldn't tolerate their Light; it was uncomfortable. Of course, he doubted either of them would do as he said; they were too concerned.

Sora wisely took his hand off Riku's shoulder, taking a step back as he lifted his hand in surrender. He kept his Keyblade in the other though, since there were still so many threats in this area. Most people were silently watching, though Orphan left already along with Xehanort. They got what they wanted, and that was Riku.

Light kept her hand on Riku's shoulder, and she was tempted to place her other on his arm. She didn't know what to say or do; she didn't feel like backing off like Sora did. This was her fault. She had to fix it somehow!

"I said, get off!" Riku said more firmly, swinging his arm in Lightning's direction. He didn't hit her, but it was enough force to make her let go. He opened his eyes to glare at her, but they weren't the usual aquamarine that she loved. Now they were the Darkness-infested gold, showing just what kind of transformation he made.

Roxas took a step forward, blinking in confusion. The villains fled upon seeing that they got their way with one person today, and now they were left to watch the scene unfold in front of them. When Roxas saw Riku's eyes, he grunted. Darkness!

Lightning stumbled back a few steps, her eyes wide when they landed on the ones of the boy she loved. That was when she saw their hue. "Riku..." she said without thought, voice soft and hoarse. I didn't...I couldn't...protect you from this... How could she have let this happen?!

Sora could tell that Lightning was stunned, and so was he, but he had a little more common sense than she did at the moment. He took a small step forward, putting his Keyblade slightly in front of Light as he looked at his best friend. "Easy, Riku..." he tried to coax. Maybe they could bring him back somehow! He was still in there somewhere; he knew that from past experience when he was possessed. But until Riku came back to his senses, Sora would have to make sure he wouldn't do something he'd regret, like hurting Lightning.

Riku rose to his feet slowly, his gold eyes resting on Sora in a fixed glare. But after that he looked to the others, seeing the curious glances he was getting. His glare stopped on Eraqus, who matched it with equal force. Someone must not like my Darkness, he thought. He ground his teeth together before looking back at the person he loved, as well as his best friend. "Hmph," he said, turning and starting off away from the castle.

"Riku, wait!" Sora cried, running and taking a grasp on his best friend's arm. He noticed Lightning run past and stand in front of Riku, leaving a few feet between them as she gazed at him with worried eyes. One of them had to be able to get through to him; they had to! Sora started to feel panicked, though he tried to keep a cool head like Riku taught him. But he couldn't stand the thought of losing his best friend to the Darkness again...He didn't know what he'd do without Riku's influence in his life.
Riku glared at the person standing a few feet in front of him, gritting his teeth at the grasp he felt on his arm. "It'd be in your best interest to let go of me, Sora," he said, glancing over his shoulder slightly. He was needed elsewhere, in Darkness. He couldn't tolerate the Light here.

Sora shook his head frantically. You're nuts if you think I'll let you fade to Darkness that easily! "Just hear me out, okay?" he pleaded to Riku. "You need to stay here, with us." They could talk some sense into him. Lightning was here, and so was he. Terra could probably get through to him too. Working together, they could bring back their Riku. Right?
Riku smirked darkly, releasing a "hmph" in response. "Stay? With you?" he repeated, disbelief in his tone. "Your Light is making me sick. The faster I leave, the better." He tugged on his arm, forcing Sora's hand to let go. He then started forward, prepared to move around Lightning since she was in his way.

Lightning shook her head, spreading her arms out so Riku couldn't get around her so easily. "We'll work on that," she said, her voice off because of her unusual nervousness. "We'll make it okay, so that you like the Light again..." As long as he stuck around with them, there was a chance that they could make things okay. Or so she hoped.
Riku stopped right in front of Lightning, and he only observed her. He knew he had feelings for her only moments ago, but they had been drowned by the Darkness that flooded his heart. His eyes narrowed as he gazed at her, gold orbs resting on blue. Whatever she was planning, it was going to fail. Quickly.

"Just stay with us, please," Light said, using the word that she hardly ever used. Please. She didn't beg often, and she wasn't one for groveling. But she needed a chance to set this right; it was her fault to start with. She was the one fighting Ansem before Riku jumped in. He shouldn't have gotten in the way; he should have stayed away...

Riku heard the words, which caused his frown to remain. Please? he repeated mentally, knowing begging wouldn't work in this type of situation. His gold eyes left Lightning to gaze at the others. "Your options are fight or flight. I suggest you take the latter," he said lowly, tone dark. Their time of peace would be short-lived soon.

"Riku, please!" Aqua called, taking a small step forward. "Snap out of it! This isn't you..." He was better than this. He could fight off this Darkness!

Light took a chance, stepping forward and putting her hand over Riku's heart. "She's right," she said softly, looking up at her boyfriend's gold eyes. "This isn't you." They were just talking a little while ago, saying that if he fell to Darkness, he would come back. Well, he fell to it. Now it was time for him to return to her.
Riku looked down at his chest, finding the hand that rested there. For a moment, he actually felt warm...and he felt love. But it quickly disappeared, Darkness interfering. He lifted a hand, whacking Lightning's arm away from him. "Hands off," he snapped, gold eyes fuming. He didn't want anyone touching him, especially when he was so uncomfortable. He needed to leave. Now. The others were waiting for him.

Lightning shook her head again as her hand came to her side. "Why?" she asked quietly, that being the only thing that she could think to say. What was Riku's logic in pushing her away. Was she getting through to him? Was that it? Or maybe the Darkness already took him completely and he didn't love her anymore. No, it couldn't be that.
Riku took a step closer, in extremely close proximity to Lightning as he looked down at her, his eyes scornful. "The Light makes me sick," he said, his words not his own, his heart infected by Darkness. "Yours especially." A monster like him could never be loved, a person possessed by a demon and slowly losing all faith he had in others and in the Light. His world revolved around Darkness now...and the power. That was his main focus.

Light nodded faintly, not overly affected by Riku's glare. It wasn't him. That was what she kept telling herself. "Okay, we'll work on that," she said. "Stay here and I'll help you get over that." The Light wouldn't make him sick anymore; it'd bring healing. Joy. And love.

"The preference isn't something to get over!" Riku snapped, his voice louder than normal. He glared at Lightning with cold, amber eyes, not letting up. She thought she could change him? She was naive to the full extent, having too much faith. He was a lost cause.

Eraqus instinctively took a step closer to the couple, though there was still quite a distance between them. He didn't know Lightning, nor did he approve of her being involved with Keybladers, but he wasn't heartless. He disliked the man of Darkness getting overheated with her.

Lightning shook her head, looking up at Riku with stern blue eyes. "Yes, Riku, it is," she disagreed quietly, not raising her voice despite Riku's volume. She stayed close to him, not backing down. She wasn't about to just let him walk away; she couldn't. She loved him too much to let the Darkness take him away from her.
Riku's jaw flexed, the young man glaring at the young woman before him. "Fine, you'll see what I mean soon enough," he hissed. He leaned a little closer, right in her face as he spoke again. "I'm a lost cause, so lose the faith." It wouldn't get her or the others anywhere; he was gone. Riku backed up then, walking over to the side instead of continuing forward. He stopped a few feet away, lifting a hand. A Dark Corridor appeared only seconds later, an ability he gained back due to his transformation. It was time he took his leave.
