Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas crossed his arms over his chest, staring at the ground. "We need a better strategy than that," he voiced. He knew that there would be disagreements about that, but he didn't think staying together would really work...

"Yeah," Sora agreed with a nod, eyebrows furrowed in seriousness. That was all he could think to say right now, sad that his friend ran off to the Darkness. But he'd come back to them soon, right? He couldn't be lost just like that. "Let's go inside and talk." He turned around, starting to walk. He sensed at least Terra following, though Ven helped Light to her feet and didn't start walking right away.
Aqua hummed slightly before starting after the others, sensing Roxas and Eraqus follow. There was some tension between all of them after what happened to Riku, and she wasn't surprised by any of it. What happened was terrible. They would really need to think through this in order to get past the villains.

Once the others were further away, Ven approached his sister, who was picking up her sword off the ground and putting it in its case. "Hey, Light, can I talk to you?" he asked lowly. Her response was a grunt, and that was good enough for Ventus. He motioned for her to go up the stairs with him, temporarily following the others. They'd stop at the top and sit down to talk, though. This was important; it was about Vanitas.
Eraqus took his time following the others, trailing behind Roxas as he climbed the stairs. He was helping with Xehanort earlier, and it seemed that his old friend wasn't as strong as he used to be. But Eraqus had a feeling a sacrifice would have to be made in order to take down Xehanort.

Once everyone was inside, Ven and Light sat down at the top of the stairs. He gazed down at his hands in his lap, trying to figure out how to phrase this. Lightning wasn't speaking at the moment, probably because she was thinking about Riku. He was about to give her one more thing to think about, unfortunately. "Vanitas said something during the fight that has me worried," he said lowly to Lightning, though he was sure nobody was around to listen to them.
Eraqus walked inside with the others, following them through the great hall and toward the study area. They could all rest on the furniture there while they discussed strategy. He didn't think things were going to be so simple, however. Xehanort never made things that easy.

"Vanitas said that he couldn't be defeated here, like, at all," Ventus said to his sister, staring down at his hands. "And he wasn't saying he couldn't be overcome by strength or anything. He was saying that if he's killed in the Realm of Light, his Darkness will just regather with time and he'll be reborn. That was what happened last time."

"So, he's invincible," Lightning said lowly, shaking her head in disgust. She only heard about Vanitas through Ven, but she knew that he was basically evil incarnate. He wasn't somebody that they could have sticking around, especially if he wanted to try and fuse with Ven again. It probably wasn't possible to form the X-blade again, but none of them wanted to take that chance.

"Yes and no," Ven said cautiously, glancing over at his sister. "He hinted that there's one place that he can be overpowered."

Upon hearing Ven pause, Lightning looked over at her little brother. "I'm listening."

Aqua glanced at Terra as they approached the study, her eyes on him for the moment. She was concerned for him. He hadn't been alright since Eraqus was reborn, and that worried her. When she didn't hear a set of footsteps behind her, she turned around. "Master Eraqus?" she asked in question. What was he doing?

Eraqus smiled slightly. "There isn't a problem, Aqua. I just realized Ventus isn't with us," he said with a small nod. "I'll go and get him. Be back shortly." He caught her nod before he turned around, leaving the room to search for his youngest student.

"He said that in the Realm of Darkness, he could be killed off. His Darkness wouldn't be able to regroup or something because the air is so dense with it. Or he'd just be trapped there, somehow. Either way...That's the only way to get rid of him," Ven said with some confidence. That was what needed to be done.

Lightning hmphed, eyebrows furrowing as she looked at the mountains. "So what you're saying is that you need a way to drag him into the Realm of Darkness so you can kill him there." It wasn't a question; it was a statement. That was exactly what Ven was saying.

"Yeah," Ven confirmed with a nod. "But Light...You know the others won't go for this. That's why I'm talking to you. I know you can still make portals, and..." He trailed off into the silence, shaking his head. He needed her help if he was going to defeat Vanitas. Nobody else could help him, or would, for that matter. They wouldn't understand that this needed to be done.

Eraqus walked through the hall in silence, his footsteps echoing off the walls. But as he looked around for Ventus, he thought he heard his student's voice. He walked a few feet more before he was at the entrance. Ventus? he thought. What was he doing?

Light was silent for a moment, taking it in. "Ven, you know how dangerous this plan of yours is," she finally said, briefly glancing at the mountains before she looked over at her little brother. He knew how dangerous it was to go to the Realm of Darkness, especially alone, and especially against Vanitas. She could send him there, but she couldn't bring him back. Could his Light even stand it there?
Eraqus stopped near the door, which was still partially open, but he stayed out of sight. He heard Lightning's voice as well, and something about a plan. His eyebrows furrowed over his dark eyes, not sure what to make of this. What exactly was Ventus planning?

"But if this is what needs to be done, I'll help," Lightning declared with a firm nod. She understood that this was necessary, and so did Ven. She just hoped that it worked. So many things could go wrong, but her brother was a living miracle. He could beat Vanitas and make his way back to the Realm of Light, somehow. She had faith in him. Just like I have faith in Riku.

Ven sighed with relief, his form physically relaxing. "Thanks," he said with a small nod. "I dunno when we'll have to do it. Probably whenever Vanitas is around next. It needs to happen, soon."

"Are you sure you're strong enough to do this?"

A weak, sad laugh left Ven's lips. "I'm not sure about anything. Only that this is our only hope." And that was sadly true.

Eraqus heard the dark side of Ventus's name, which instantly made him cautious. What was Ventus planning that required so much strength and involved Vanitas? The older man knew he couldn't be caught evesdropping, so he went a few steps forward, opening the door and making it seem like he just arrived. "Ventus, Lightning," he called softly. "We need you for our discussion. Come."

Lightning felt tense at Eraqus's presence because of what happened with Riku, but she didn't start an argument right now. She was sure they'd have plenty of those later. Ven politely stood up and helped her to her feet, letting her walk in first. She only briefly glanced at Eraqus before Ven followed after her, silent like he had been before. Only now, she knew the reason why he was so quiet.
Eraqus closed the door behind the two warriors before following them towards the study. It was time they discussed a plan of action and got to work. They couldn't risk another tragedy happening, much like the one with Riku.

The discussion continued even without Eraqus, Ven and Lightning, though Aqua and Roxas were basically the only two that were talking. Sora would insert something every once in a while, but he was obviously upset about Riku. He was keeping it together for the most part though. Terra was the same as he had been the past few days: silent. There wasn't anything he had to say right now.
Aqua listened to what Roxas had to say, nodding at times to communicate that she understood. But then all fell silent when she wasn't sure how to respond to his last comment--that they were all in big, big trouble here. There was no doubt that was true, but what could she say to counter that? The young woman released a heavy breath, lifting a hand to tuck some of her blue hair behind her ear. What could they do?

Terra curled his right hand slightly on the table, the hand turning into a fist. He didn't like this silence; it reminded him of things that he didn't want to face. Xehanort. He could hear his voice inside his head every once in a while, and though he knew it was all his imagination, it ticked him off. And scared him. He pushed himself up from the seat and exited the room just as Master Eraqus and the others were entering it. He needed a minute.
Eraqus stopped when he saw Terra leaving, his eyes trailing the Keyblade Knight before he focused on the others. He caught Aqua's expression, though her eyes were glued to Terra. He knew the two were an item now, something he knew from the feelings in Terra's heart. He and Aqua made eye contact briefly before she looked away, obviously concerned.

Terra walked towards the exit, going out the front door and knowing his destination was the Summit. He understood that the others probably would disapprove of him being out in the open and alone, but he doubted Xehanort would bother him right now. If Xehanort wanted him, he could have gotten him by now. But Terra knew the truth: he was going to be next. Riku was already taken, and now he would be too.

Aqua stared at the ground, her thoughts on Terra now. She knew he wasn't in good shape, but he most likely didn't want to hear that everything was going to be okay. With Xehanort, no one ever knew. But...she wouldn't let Xehanort have her Knight. He was meant to be in her life forever, as well as Ven's, Sora's, Riku's, and everyone else's. Terra couldn't give up on his own strength; he would regret it in the end.

"Aqua."

Aqua straightened, turning slightly to face Master Eraqus. "Sir."

Eraqus jerked his head towards the doorway behind him. "Go on," he told her with a knowing look in his eyes. Terra needed her Light, and she knew it just as well as he did. It was time she left the strategizing to the rest of them and went to comfort her other half. He watched her hesitate before nodding, the young woman going past him and leaving the room to pursue Terra.

Terra reached the Summit within a few minutes, the walk not far or hard for him. He took in the silence in the air and found some comfort in it this time. This place was always like that for him. Comfort was far from his reach these days, because he could feel the Darkness tugging at his heart all the time. Even sleep wasn't peaceful anymore. He didn't verbalize that, but at least Master Eraqus saw it in his eyes, whenever Terra actually made eye contact with him.
Aqua looked for Terra in his old room first, but when he wasn't there, she ventured outside. It was too quiet around the castle, which caused her to start toward the mountains. She, Terra, and Ven always hung out there in the evenings, and trained there during the day. Memories flashed before her eyes as she traveled, just being in this world enough to remind her of her days as an apprentice alongside Terra and Ven. She missed it.
