Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Terra stood along the ledge, standing instead of sitting down. Ven and Aqua normally sat there; he liked standing in the back. But that was the last thing on his mind. He couldn't stop thinking about Master Eraqus. He was glad that his Master had the chance to live again, since he died too early before. But he died at Terra's hand. How could Terra not feel guilty over that? He knew that the Darkness in his heart was feeding that negative emotion, but he couldn't help it. The Darkness made everything worse.
Aqua trekked up the mountainside, following the path towards the Summit. When she got there, she looked around, trying to find the person she cared about. She spotted him not too far off, and she slowly approached. She wouldn't say anything as to not startle him; he was close enough to the ledge as it was.

Terra heard footsteps coming towards him, though he couldn't discern who they belonged to. Either Master Eraqus or Aqua. He suspected that if it was Ven, he would have called to him by now. But then again, he couldn't judge that for certain since Ven was so quiet these days. He was concerned about his own personal demon, just like Terra was.
Aqua approached Terra, but she stood next to him near the ledge. It was nighttime, with the stars beginning to shine one by one and the lanterns on the Summit adopting their magical properites and beginning to light up. Aqua felt herself beginnning to smile, simply because the sky brought back memories. She missed this place, even if they had been here before.

Terra glanced at Aqua in his peripherals, though he then looked out to the area before him. It was as beautiful as ever. He liked his home world a lot, but he didn't want to be here under these circumstances. He just wanted Xehanort to be gone, forever. Would he always be haunting him? He said a long time ago that his legacy would last through Terra. Well, he knew one thing for sure: Xehanort had a negative impact on him. He felt like he was losing himself in this chaos.
"...If only Ven were here, then this would be just like the old days," Aqua whispered, her voice calm as she stood next to the man she could call her significant other. They had always been best friends, but now they were more. She loved that, but she didn't want Xehanort to be the one to push them apart. After all they went through, they could handle this. Terra could handle this. He just needed support.

Terra grunted, nodding slightly. Yeah. If Ven was here, it would be like old times. They'd sit here innocently while Xehanort schemed elsewhere of their demise. He curled his one hand into a fist before releasing it, knowing it wouldn't be good to be angry in front of Aqua. She already must have realized he wasn't in good shape, but he didn't want her seeing just how bad it was.
Aqua turned her head at the grunt, her eyes lifting to the person she loved. "...Terra," she said softly. Was he haunted by what happened with Riku? Or was it Xehanort? Maybe it was a mixture of both, with Xehanort contributing a majority of the discomfort in that equation. She missed Terra's smile, even if it had only been a day or two since they left the Islands. She just wanted him to be happy again...and safe.

"Hm?" Terra hummed in response, though he didn't look over at Aqua. He avoided eye contact when he could, knowing that the others would see him struggling the moment they studied his eyes. He was struggling very much to keep hope right now, even with Aqua by his side. Riku fell, and now he would too.
Aqua's eyes softened, her smile gone by this point. "...What happened to Riku," she started softly, glancing away for a moment as she exhaled. "...It's not going to happen to you. It can't." She wouldn't let it, and neither would Ven or Eraqus. They would protect him at all costs.

Terra shook his head softly. "It can," he responded, his voice at the same level as Aqua's. Not only could it happen, but it most likely would. Terra's heart was vulnerable because of the Darkness, and even if it wasn't, Xehanort would find a way to get to him. He could fight and struggle all he wanted, but Xehanort would come out on top in the end.
"It's less likely to happen if you fight it," Aqua said, her eyes on Terra again. She gazed up at his taller height with soft eyes, concerned for him. She cared for him, so of course she would be worried over him. But he needed her support; he couldn't do this on his own, no matter how strong he was.

"Riku fought it," Terra responded quietly, faintly shaking his head. He knew that Riku tried to resist the Guardian, but he actually gave himself up to block Lightning from an attack. Would the same happen with Terra? Would he have to sacrifice himself so that his loved ones could live on, even if life did not include him anymore? He didn't know. He didn't know anything anymore.
"He was protecting the person he loved. He wouldn't take it back if he had the choice," Aqua explained. "Riku may not be with us anymore, but....what happened was an accident. And none of us are going to let the same happen to you." Aqua turned towards Terra more, lifting a hand to his arm. "Especially me..."
  • Author
"Yeah," Terra said softly, though his voice held cynicism. "I bet Lightning told Riku the same thing." He was willing to bet that she promised Riku that she wouldn't let Ansem get to him. And yet, in that one moment of trying to protect him, she actually did the opposite. She set herself up so Riku had to intervene. He had a funny feeling that fate would do the same to him and Aqua.
Aqua blinked at Terra's words, but then she frowned. "Stop it," she ordered, her voice quiet but firm. Why was he being so pessimistic? Where was the confident Terra she once knew? The last time he was like this... It was over 10 years ago, when they were facing Xehanort the first time. How could one man have so much influence over someone? Then again, the answer to her own question was simple: it was Xehanort.

Terra shook his head, lowering it as his hands curled into fists. "I'm next," he said softly, though his voice didn't hold cynicism now. It held bitterness and sadness. He didn't want it to turn out this way, but he had a feeling that it would. It wasn't just pessimism telling him to feel this way; it was a sense of foreboding that he couldn't shake.
"Only if Xehanort gets through the rest of us," Aqua declared. She wasn't about to let Xehanort walk all over Terra, and she was sure Ven and Eraqus would think the same. Terra was important to all of them, and it felt like he was just throwing his entire life away because Xehanort was back. That wasn't the Terra she knew.
  • Author
Terra was silent, the man not confirming or denying what Aqua said. He knew his friends would try to stand in the way. But things happened. Xehanort would not be shaken off of him that easily. If he had to, he'd kill Aqua and Master Eraqus to get to him. He wasn't about to let it happen. If he had to surrender his life so that they could live...he would. And Master Eraqus would be strong enough to do what needed to be done in that case.
Aqua moved her hand to Terra's wrist, squeezing it gently. "Have some faith in yourself, Terra," she told him softly. Why was he being so down? He used to be so confident!
  • Author
"I have more faith in Xehanort's cruelty than the strength of my heart right now," Terra said, using his free hand to take Aqua's off his wrist. He expected her to scold him for saying such a thing, but that was the truth. He took a few steps forward and sat down with his legs hanging over the edge, his eyes on the rest of the world.
Aqua followed Terra with her eyes, gazing at him for a moment before she finally connected the dots. "This is about Master Eraqus," she said then, knowledgable. Terra felt weak without Master Eraqus within him. Terra had always been strong! He was just tricked in the past to do ugly deeds for Master Xehanort.
  • Author
"It's about me having the strength to stand up against Xehanort on my own like I should have done the first time," Terra said lowly. Over ten years ago he faced Xehanort, and he didn't have the strength then either. He had been a little more confident with Master Eraqus residing in his heart, but now that he was gone, Terra realized just how bad of shape his heart was in. He was weak on his own.
"You were tricked in the past. Don't use that as a crutch towards your cynicism," Aqua scolded, frowning. This was not the Terra she knew. In the early days, when he was trying to discover who he was, he was insecure. But then he outgrew it. Now it was returning, and it was something unpleasant to witness.
  • Author
"What am I supposed to do, Aqua?" Terra asked, his voice having some bite in it because of his frustration. He didn't see any other options here. He was cynical and depressed and hurt, and here Aqua was trying to snap him out of it. It wasn't going to work like that. The only way that this was going to end was if Xehanort was permanently wiped out.
