Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Vanitas saw the attack coming within his peripherals, and lifted his weapon to block it. Sword to sword with Ventus, he smiled darkly. "About time you stepped up," he commented smoothly. Ventus couldn't hide behind his sister any longer. They were going to battle it out, right now.

"I was never stepped down," Ven said with a small smirk of his own. He pressed hard against Vanitas's blade, shoving him backward and setting up the villain for a combo attack from him and Lightning. Vanitas may have believed that he was afraid, and maybe he was, but he wasn't backing down. He was just setting things up the way they needed to go.

When Vanitas stumbled back, Light knew that was her cue to do something. She snapped her fingers and turned on her gravity device, a blue charge radiating over her. She ran the distance between her and Vanitas and threw a punch at his face, knowing that the force would be much stronger now that her device was turned on. If only it worked that way with swords too; then she would never turn the device off.

Vanitas cried out in surprise, his eyes squeezing shut from the slug as he flew back. The force behind that punch... It was too strong to be Lightning's! Of course, he didn't know that she used the gravity device. He landed on his back and roughly rolled, but his agility allowed him to quickly get back on his feet. He shook his head of dark spikes, making the pain subside. She was going to pay for that.

Lightning kept the device turned on, walking over to Vanitas with her weapon in one hand and her other curled into a fist. She wasn't sure exactly how she and Ven would send him to the Realm of Darkness, but they'd make it work. Vanitas was going, and that was where he would be permanently destroyed by Ven.
Vanitas gritted his teeth as he stared at Lightning. "You don't scare me," he snapped, voice calm and taunting. "But you're scared, aren't you? Of the Darkness that has taken so many people away from you. Riku was yesterday, but today..." Vanitas smiled, tightening his grip on his Keyblade. "Today is Ventus's turn."

Lightning's eyes narrowed as she stopped a few feet in front of Vanitas, just out of reach of his sword. She had to admit that the words struck a nerve, but her face remained hard. "I'm not scared of you," she said lowly. He thought he could take down Ven, but he was wrong. Ven was stronger than to let him conquer him just like that. Lightning may have been afraid of the Dark, but she trusted that the Light would conquer it. That was good enough for her.
Vanitas wasn't bothered by the comment, simply smiling. "Then you should have no problem with this!" he cried, darting forward and swinging Void Gear at Lightning with all his strength. If she wasn't scared of him, then she could battle him to the death. And he would destroy her. Her Light was weak without Riku by her side.

Lightning's eyes narrowed, the young woman maneuvering to the side to avoid the Keyblade. Since her device was on, she had no problem putting a lot of force in the punch that she sent towards Vanitas's stomach. She knew now was the time to send him away, with Ven's help. Her younger brother stood several feet behind Vanitas, prepared for him to be sent flying back by Light's punch.
Vanitas grunted at the force of the hit, knowing now that the strength came from the blue aura that surrounded Lightning's form. He was forced back, flying straight toward Ventus with speed. He knew that the two were working together to take him down, but like he convinced Ventus, that wouldn't happen until they reached the Realm of Darkness. And these two were falling for his plan.

Ven pulled back his Keyblade, swinging it much like a baseball bat to send Vanitas flying. He saw Lightning open a portal a few feet in front of him, and that was where he aimed Vanitas. It was time for them to go and duke it out in the Realm of Darkness together. Only one of them would return, and he hoped that it would be him.

Light lowered her extended hand, her device turned off by now as she used her ability to summon dark portals for Ven's sake. This is it. She understood what needed to be done, but nobody else would. She wondered if anybody else noticed what was going on. With her luck, Master Eraqus would and he'd have another reason to hate her.

Vanitas soared through the air due to Ventus's hit, but once he saw a Dark Portal, he smirked. Perfect, he thought, moving his body so he cleanly went threw. Ventus would follow soon enough, and then they'd have their battle.

It worked; we got him through, Lightning thought, glancing at Ventus. For one brief second, he hesitated, looking at her with an expression that betrayed some of his fear. She shook her head, grim. They both knew that this was what needed to get done. "Go!" she shouted in encouragement. That was all it took for Ven to go running through the portal after Vanitas and leave Twilight Town.
"Ventus, no!" Eraqus bellowed, his voice echoing through the woods as battles continued. He had glanced away from his fight with Xehanort for only a moment when he saw Vanitas soar through the portal, and then Ventus following suit. He looked at Lightning, ignoring Master Xehanort. "What have you done?!"
  • Author
Master Xehanort hmphed to himself, amused. "What an unexpected twist of events," he said to his former friend, who was no longer paying attention to him. "I'll leave you to face this." He vanished in a portal while Ansem disappeared in his own rather than fighting Aqua any longer. Orphan also disappeared from his battle with Terra. Lightning just divided the group further, which worked perfectly well for Xehanort and his accomplices. He'd allow the drama to stir, then he'd return.
Riku swung his sword at Sora before jumping back. The others disappeared, and he knew he was to leave as well. "That's my cue," he said, lifting a hand in a slight wave as he smirked at his best friend. He proceeded to back into a portal, disappearing along with the rest of the villains.

Sora grunted when Riku left, and he looked around to see that the other villains were gone as well. Seriously? Why did they just leave like that when nothing happened. But that was when he noticed that a member of their group was missing: Ven. His eyes darted around the area, only seeing his other friends standing where they had been before the villains left. Ven was gone.

Eraqus looked around, seeing that the other villains had fled. Regardless, he turned his attention to the soldier in the group. "You foolish girl!" he shouted, starting towards her. "Do you realize what you've done? You've sent Ventus to his death!"

Aqua turned her head sharply at the declaration, her eyes widening. "What?!" she cried in shock. Ventus was gone!

  • Author
Lightning shook her head, staying where she was even if anybody else would have been intimidated by Eraqus's demeanor. "No," she said. "That's not how it is." There was a logical explanation to go along with all this; she wouldn't have sent Ven to the Realm of Darkness just so that he could die. This was so that Vanitas would die, not her little brother.
"Then enlighten us," Eraqus demanded, stopping in front of Lightning as he glared at her. She just sent his son through a portal with Vanitas alone. He had faith in his son, but if she was sending him to the Realm of Darkness like he predicted, Ven had little to no chance of surviving. The fact enraged Eraqus.

"Ven said that Vanitas could only be defeated in the Realm of Darkness," Lightning said, looking up at Eraqus even if she was speaking to whoever else was listening. And she was sure that they all were. "He told me I needed to help him drag Vanitas to the Realm of Darkness. So I did." Ven said this was necessary, not her. And she trusted her brother's judgment.
Eraqus closed his eyes, shaking his head slowly in disbelief. Ventus...he thought in sadness. Whoever informed him of the defeat in the Dark Realm was lying to the boy. Ventus wasn't strong in that Realm; his Light would suffer.
  • Author
Lightning looked away from Master Eraqus, seeing Terra with a hand to his face. She felt pity for him, knowing that it was rough for him to be afraid for his own well being and Ven's right now. But Ven was certain that this was the only way. You better make it back alive, kid, Light thought to herself. Or I'll have a lot of angry Keybladers ready to kill me.

Eraqus opened his eyes, staring at the ground in anger and fright. "...Ventus was mistaken," he revealed lowly, his voice holding sorrow. "Vanitas cannot be defeated in the Dark Realm. He is stronger, while Ventus is at his weakest." Lightning just sent him to his death without knowing it, which only enraged Eraqus. How could this have happened?

Aqua's eyes widened considerably at the news, though she half-suspected it. She shook her head in disbelief, lifting a hand to her heart. "No..." she muttered, feeling fear in her heart. Not Ven...

  • Author
"Tch," Light grunted, shaking her head faintly and looking at the ground in disbelief and sadness. The one time I should have been skeptical, I wasn't. How could I have just accepted Ven's explanation without looking deeper into things? She didn't know what to say now. She would feel such guilt if Ven didn't come back to them. It would be all for nothing, and all her fault.
"How did Ventus find out about this?" Eraqus asked, referring to Vanitas supposedly being defeated in the Realm of Darkness. He lifted his sight to Lightning, still standing in front of her. Everyone else was silent, probably wanting to hear the same explanation.
