Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Aqua lifted her head, her eyes trailing Terra's glider until it was lost in the trees. She then released a heavy, silent breath, her gaze resting on the others. They lost one more of their group, down to five. They would have to make do with who they had; it was fight or die.

At Disney Castle

"Namine, now!" King Mickey cried to the blonde girl. They stood in a large, empty hall. Not the throne room, obviously, since what they were doing wasn't appropriate for that room. They were in the middle of training, after all.

Namine self-consciously grasped at the necklace she wore, one that was a gift from King Mickey. As long as she wore this necklace, she had an unlimited amount of magic at her disposal. And that was what he was calling her to use now. She opened her free hand and then curled it into a fist as it was extended in front of her, raining down thunder on the orbs of Light that King Mickey summoned. They vanished right away because her attack was that strong.

Kairi watched Namine with awe, her eyes wide as they caught the orbs of Light disappearing. She then looked to her friend, smiling faintly. Namine was good, and getting better as time went on. She wished she could say the same for herself. She was having trouble with her Keyblade skills, unfortunately. She could now summon it on command, something that never happened before; in the past she had only had it come to her hand on its own will, when she needed it. But now Kairi had trouble with basic attacks, concerned over her fiance's safety, as well as the others. She could never focus enough.

"Good, Namine," King Mickey praised with a nod and a smile. "You've improved immensely." He taught her a lot in the time that they had been together, even if it hadn't been a long time. He also worked with Kairi, who was awaiting her turn to work with her Keyblade. "Go find Donald to keep working on your spells." The blonde dipped her head faintly, smiling faintly at him and then to Kairi before she turned and started towards the courtyard where she would find the mage. "Kairi, it's your turn."
"Yes, sir," Kairi softly replied, nodding before starting forward. The training hall was large, something the King used most likely in his free time to touch up on his skills and attacks for fights such as the one that was occuring now. She hoped her friends were alright.

The smile of encouragement King Mickey had a moment ago faded with Kairi's timid tone. "Kairi, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice showing concern. She hadn't been herself lately, especially today. Whenever he knew her before, she was always bright spirited but now, she was sad most of the time. Was her training frustrating her? She was picking up on it quickly, despite her inexperience and lack of focus. If she could get her head in the right place, she'd soar.
Kairi's footing halted slightly at the question, her eyes widening when she looked at the King. She quickly recovered and continued walking to the middle of the arena, her gaze on the carpet. "It's nothing, Your Majesty," she told him gently. She was too worried for everyone's safety; they were much more capable of protecting themselves than she was. So shouldn't she be more concerned about her own safety than theirs?

King Mickey shook his head, not buying it. "You're concerned about your friends, aren't you?" he guessed, summoning his Keyblade away. He didn't want to fight right away; he wanted to discuss this matter with her. She had a right to be concerned about them, since Xehanort was a dangerous enemy. But that concern should have motivated her to train harder, not run away from the chance to protect her friends.
Kairi stopped where she was, hesitating before nodding slowly, her eyes falling downcast. "I'm afraid so," she admitted. She knew that this was the most dangerous war they were involved in yet, and that fact scared her. What if no one came back this time?

"Kairi," King Mickey said, faintly shaking his head as he approached her. "It's okay to be worried about 'em. But instead of worryin' about them, focus on what you can do to help. If you focus on your studies here, you may be able to help 'em soon." He wasn't saying he would let her fight against Xehanort, because he was far above all of them. Even him. But Kairi had the potential to be a great mage, like her Nobody was becoming. Both of them had great potential.
Kairi made eye contact with King Mickey for a moment, studying his expression and seeing that he was sincere. She smiled faintly, nodding. "Yes, Your Majesty," she said in understanding. She would try her best, but she would still be worried. It was just in her nature.

King Mickey smiled faintly in encouragement, nodding as well. "Now," he said, summoning his Keyblade to his grasp again. "Show me what we've been working on." They had been working on both magical and physical attacks, though the physical actions were mostly defensive. He wanted to see her magic abilities now.
Kairi nodded once more before holding out a hand. Her eyebrows furrowed as she concentrated, calling to the weapon she wielded. It appeared in her grasp in a sparkling white light, gracing her with warmth. "Defense mechanisms or spells, sir?" she asked, bringing the weapon to her side. She hadn't only gotten stronger through her heart; she had physically as well. She could hold up her weapon better now, the training sessions giving her strength, and stamina too.

"Spells," King Mickey said with a small nod. He turned around, summoning orbs of light that Kairi could destroy with her magic. She could use whichever spells she wanted. While he was encouraging her to gain in strength with magic, he was also encouraging her to be a physical fighter much like Aqua was. She had the capability and potential.
Kairi turned her head, noticing all of the orbs of Light waiting for her. She cried out, stabbing her Keyblade into the air as she focused on a few orbs and called to a Thunder spell. Lightning rained down on those she concentrated on, though she then pointed her Keyblade at another, firing off a Blizzard spell. She was working on getting better, but she was at least happy she could cast spells now.

"Good!" King Mickey praised, summoning more orbs for Kairi to destroy. He would keep her working for a little while and see all of her spells, then perhaps he would let her train with Goofy for a little while. He had some work that he wanted to get done, and it concerned Master Xehanort. He wanted to see how he could help other than providing a safe-haven for Namine and Kairi.
Kairi fought the urge to smile at the praise, focusing on another target. She flung a ball of fire at it, thinking at the same time of how proud Sora and Riku would be of her. She knew they always wanted to try and help her with her self-defense, but now they didn't need to; Mickey was. Would they be proud of her progress?

Namine opened the door to the room, seeing Kairi and King Mickey training. "King Mickey!" she called to him. She stepped into the room, out of the attack area while another person came into the room behind her: Terra. He just arrived as she went outside, and after getting Roxas's condition out of him, he said that he needed to speak to King Mickey. So here they were.
Kairi was about to release another Fire spell, but it died off when her attention wavered. She turned her head, her eyes finding Namine and... "Terra?" she called in surprise, straightening. What was he doing here? And where were the others?

Terra nodded slightly to Kairi, and to King Mickey as well, since he turned around to face him then. He started walking towards the other two as Namine trailed behind him. "Kairi. Your Majesty," he greeted the two, dipping his head faintly to King Mickey. Since Terra was here, he decided that it would be best to tell them all what was going on out there. It wasn't pretty.
Kairi sent her weapon away with a shimmer of light, bringing a hand up to brush her longer hair out of her face. "Where are the others?" she asked, her eyes stuck on Terra. Shouldn't he be with Sora...and Riku? Roxas and the rest of them?

"The others are probably back in the Land of Departure by now trying to find a way to track down Xehanort," Terra figured.

"What's goin' on out there, Terra?" King Mickey asked, taking a small step forward and summoning his Keyblade away. He was planning on going out within the next day or two to check on things, but since Terra was here, he could just ask him.

"It's not good, Your Majesty," Terra said lowly, faintly shaking his head. "A lot has happened, and it's all been to Xehanort's advantage." His heart was weak, Riku was on their side, and Ven was now in the Realm of Darkness. It was all going downhill very quickly now that Xehanort was on the offensive with such a strong team.

Kairi's eyebrows furrowed in concern, her eyes flicking over to the King briefly before returning to Terra. What did that mean for Sora and Riku, and Roxas? Were Aqua and Ventus okay too? She knew she had a reason to be worried!

"The first day, we split into pairs or small groups to look for Xehanort. Aqua and I got locked in a fight with him and he extracted the Light from my heart." Terra saw King Mickey's eyes widen, and he knew that he understood. "Yeah. Master Eraqus is back."

"Golly..." King Mickey whispered. He never knew Master Eraqus too well, but he felt a connection to anyone who was strong enough to be a Keyblade Master. Now he was back, and out of Terra's heart! Did that mean that Terra was vulnerable to the Darkness?

Terra nodded again. "After escaping that fight, everyone regrouped and talked. But we were ambushed. ...Not everyone was okay after that fight." He looked to Namine and Kairi, locking his jaw in anger and sadness. It was Riku, a figure who both girls looked up to as an older brother.

Kairi took a small step forward, her eyes on Terra at his look. "...What do you mean, not everyone?" she asked softly, slightly afraid. Was it Sora, or Riku? What about Roxas or Aqua? Maybe even Ventus or Lightning? Someone was hurt...or worse, or that was what she feared.
