Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine stood in the doorway of the room, her hands raised and in front of her mouth in the form of a fist as she looked at Roxas and Axel. She saw that. All of it. She would have gone over to Roxas sooner, but his rage always did scare her. And so did Axel's threat. He really did betray them. He would hurt her if he had the chance. That knowledge was what made her eyes moist, along with other things.
Roxas glared at the ground for a moment before looking up to see Namine, her expression one he could easily read. He approached her and put his hands on her shoulders, slowly turning her. "Let's go, Nam," he suggest softly, keeping one arm around her once she was facing the other direction. They didn't need to be near Axel any longer.

Namine instinctively set one of her hands on Roxas's torso, feeling the fabric of the Organization cloak under her hand. Her other hand by her mouth curled into a tighter fist. And, of course, she couldn't help but look over her shoulder to see Axel looking after them. He didn't hold any weapons, and his facial expression was unreadable to her. She just didn't understand how this could be...But this was how it was.
Roxas walked with Namine out of the room, keeping her close as he remained on edge. He would lead her to the bedroom, where they would clearly share one, and he would stay up while she rested. He wasn't about to leave her unprotected. He couldn't, not with a threat so clear having been said.

Axel watched the two blondes go, and once they were out of sight, he scratched his head. "That went well," he mumbled sarcastically. He sat back down on his chair, staring at the ground in both sadness and anger. He didn't want things to be this way; none of them did. Maybe Axel's destiny was to always side with the Darkness. It seemed that way right now. He could never escape his old life.

A Day Later, in the Land of Departure

Aqua closed her eyes, hearing the others arguing over what happened between them a few days ago in Radiant Garden. They just lost another group member to Xehanort and his remnants, and whoever the hooded figure was. But there was nothing they could do! Roxas offered himself on account of Namine, which everyone should have understood; they all had significant others, and Eraqus would have done it for one of them in a heartbeat. "Everyone, calm down," she said, opening her eyes and holding her hands out. "We'll figure this out."

Lightning shook her head, glancing over at Aqua. "No," she said bluntly. "Your plan hasn't worked so far, so it's time to try mine." They had to split up and try to gain more allies. She would go for Riku, and maybe they could find more allies somewhere else. Sora had a lot of friends, so couldn't he ask some of them to help out? Any method was better than what they were doing now, which was nothing at all.
"Splitting up will only end in death," Eraqus revealed, his hands linked behind his back as he stood in the training room of his old home. "If Xehanort can push past our walls while we are in groups, going out alone will only end worse." They couldn't risk it, no matter what happened recently.

"We already are split up," Lightning declared, focusing her attention back to the man she had been arguing with for a long time. "And it's because of Xehanort. I'd rather split up on our own before he can force the circumstances." Roxas was a captive in a castle, Ven trapped in the Realm of Darkness, and Riku possessed by Darkness. All this happened because they didn't make the first move to fight.
Aqua put a hand in her hair, closing her eyes again. There was no getting through to Lightning, and Eraqus surely knew that. "Sora, what do you think?" she asked, opening her eyes to look at him. He hadn't said anything in a while. What was he thinking?

Sora glanced at Aqua, but then looked up to see Lightning also looking at him. "I agree with Lightning," he finally said. "Going on like this is playing into Xehanort's hand. We need to change our strategy before we lose anyone else." Who did Xehanort plan to get rid of next? Master Eraqus? Lightning? Or maybe even him. He wouldn't fall into that trap, and he made sure Xehanort wouldn't get his hands on Kairi like he did Namine. Kairi was permanently staying at the castle after what happened.
Aqua shook her head, staring at the floor. "I still think it's a mistake, splitting up," she said softly. "I would say there is strength in numbers, but..." But that hadn't done them any good. Everyone was being taken from them, one at a time. Who was next?

Lightning felt disgusted with Aqua, taking her attitude to be one of timidness. "You do what you want," she said lowly. "I'm leaving, and I'm not coming back until I have Riku." She shifted her gaze to Sora then, since he agreed with her. "What are you going to do?"

After a moment, Sora spoke. "I'm leaving too," he declared, looking from Master Eraqus to Aqua. "I'm worried about Roxas and Namine." He would go try to track them down, and when he did, Roxas could fight back and join the team again. Two of them standing up for Namine would make things okay in the end.

Aqua made eye contact with Sora but didn't say a word. She already knew that trying to convince him would be a waste of time; his mind was made up. He was going to help Roxas, and Lightning was going after Riku. The former seemed much easier than the latter, but she wasn't going to admit that. It would just make matters worse. Aqua frowned and crossed her arms, staring at the floor. She and Master Eraqus would have to figure something out on their own.

Lightning gave Master Eraqus a hard look, though she always looked at him that way. She knew that he didn't like her or her influence in the group, but she didn't care. This wasn't about him. She turned and exited the room, and after a moment, she heard Sora's footsteps behind her. She was glad that at least he agreed that they needed to take action instead of waiting around for things to get better. It didn't work like that; if you wanted things to get better, you had to work for it.

Aqua looked over to her Master when the others left, her eyes fearful. "Master, what are we going to do?" she asked. She was out of ideas, and splitting up still didn't sound right to her.

"You must keep your Light burning strong, Aqua," Eraqus stated, his eyes moving to the window of the area. "Even apart, you will be the one that holds this group together. The others are depending on you to do so."

"...But, sir," Aqua tried, confused. "Why must I do it? Why can't you?" It didn't make much sense. Where were these words of advice coming from? And why was he saying this about her, of all people?

"At this rate, you're the only one who can." Eraqus kept his eyes away from Aqua's, his back now to her as he faced the colorful window of the training area. He wouldn't be able to do it because he wouldn't be around much longer; a premonition came to him in the night. He was going to face death very soon.

Once outside, Light walked down the stairs with Sora by her side. Even if they weren't going to travel together, she wanted to know what his plans were. If he had a plan at all. "Where will you go?" she asked, glancing over at him.

"Probably The World That Never Was," Sora said with a small shrug. "Xemnas always seems to be going back to that place." He looked over at Lightning then. "What about you?" He was concerned for her, especially since she was going after Riku. He was scared that he may hurt her.

"I don't know," Light said, faintly shaking her head. "Anywhere. Everywhere. I won't stop till I find Riku." And when she did find him, she'd put him in his right mind again. Somehow.

Aqua could only stare at Master Eraqus in confusion, though she didn't question his words. He had to have known what he was talking about, or else he wouldn't have said it at all. At that moment, she reached into her pocket and pulled out her Wayfinder, gazing at it. Ven...Terra, she thought sadly. I hope you're both okay. Things don't seem to be getting any easier without you...

Christmas Town, that night

Lightning walked through the snow of Christmas Town, back in an area far away from the town. It was a deserted area out here, though she could hear the Christmas songs from Santa's workshop in the distance. They were celebrating the success of a good Christmas, naturally, while Lightning walked the frozen earth looking for the man she loved. It wasn't right. But she didn't care. She kept walking, hands in fists by her sides because of how cold she was. At least she had long black leggings on under her skirt now; that helped her stay a little warmer. But her heart would never be warm without Riku. Riku, where are you?

Riku had his arms crossed over his chest, his back against the cold brick wall of Santa's shop as he stayed hidden in the shadows. He knew she was here, Lightning. He knew she would never give up on him, which was sad. His Light was gone, and the person that he used to be along with it. He was a lost cause, but she just wouldn't lose the faith.

Lightning approached the workshop, grunting at the happy carols. That was what she wanted right now. It was just past New Years, and she missed celebrating because of Xehanort. What a great start to the year this was. She stopped when she was close to the building, sensing something off in the air. But even if she was looking right at the building, she couldn't see Riku. She never was that good at seeing in the dark, and he was too good at being silent.
Riku's golden eyes were locked onto Lightning's, though she couldn't see him. He started chuckling, the sound dark and foreign, not truly his own. Man, she was a lost cause. She was never going to give up on him, something he found pathetic.

Lightning shut her eyes briefly as she stood in place before she opened them. She thought she saw the outline of a figure in the shadow of the building. "Step out," she said without moving or reaching for her weapon. She already knew who it was; the laugh was recognizable even if it wasn't the true laugh of the man that she loved. It was much too dark to truly belong to him.
Riku pushed himself away from the wall like he was told, a smirk on his lips. "Man, you are pathetic," he said, stepping out into the light. His golden eyes locked onto Lightning's again, a dark aura seeping from his being. He told her to give up, and she didn't listen. For that, they would have to settle this another way--a more brutal, life-threatening way.

Lightning only took a small step closer to Riku, not responding to his remark. She knew they weren't words that she should take seriously. "It's time for you to come back," she said softly, looking up into his golden eyes. She knew that her Riku was still in there somewhere; he wasn't completely conquered. His heart was still fighting.
