Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku shook his head. "I don't think so," he replied with the same dark smile. "If anything, it's time you backed off. Shouldn't you be worrying about your brother?" The runt was stuck in the Realm of Darkness for the past few days, fighting his heart away. He stood no chance against Vanitas, where the Realm of Darkness was his stronghold.

"I think it's time you started worrying about yours," Lightning replied smoothly, though her voice was still gentle with Riku. "He's off on his own now, and if you don't come back to us, he could end up getting himself killed." Sora was like Riku's brother on so many levels; they were more than best friends. Riku had to be worried about him at least a little bit.
"Sora can take care of himself, something he proved a long time ago," Riku said, his hands in fists at his side. "He doesn't need me." And it was true; he was strong enough on his own. A Keyblade wielder of Light, something completely opposite from Riku. He was in the Darkness now, where he belonged. Going back wouldn't help Sora in the slightest.

"Sora can take care of himself when Xehanort, Xemnas, Vanitas, Orphan, and Ansem are all out to kill the Keybladers? Right," Lightning said sarcastically, eyebrows furrowing as she looked up at Riku. She stood right in front of him, within arms reach. She had to prove her point here: Riku needed to come back to their side. Without him, they were all doomed. Even Sora, and even her.
"He took them all once before, didn't he? With the exception of your demon, of course." Riku smiled more, tilting his head slightly. "If I go back, I'll just be in the way. So, no thanks." He started forward, pushing past Lightning and starting through the snow. This was a waste of his time.

"All at once with nobody by his side? He's screwed, Riku," Lightning said, walking after him. He's screwed and so are the rest of us. It's four against at least seven. There was Xehanort, Ansem, Xemnas, Vanitas, Orphan, and the hooded figure from the other day. And Master Eraqus and Aqua weren't fighting back, not really.
"Nobody, huh? He's got you....if you leave," Riku hinted, glancing over his shoulder as he continued to walk. If Lightning left him alone, Sora would have people by him to help him out. Lightning was only contradicting her own words by being here.

"Even I won't do him much good. Two against seven supervillains and all their Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed aren't so great odds," Light said, walking fast enough that she walked around Riku and stopped in front of him. She knew that Riku would be a good addition to their team; he had a strategic mind like she did. Maybe together they could come up with a plan to get rid of Xehanort and his minions.
"So you consider me a supervillain now?" Riku smirked, his gold eyes gleaming. "How kind of you." At least his Darkness was actually serving a purpose...and effective. Xehanort was right--he was a good addition to the Darkness. He belonged there from the beginning.

"I wasn't counting you at all," Lightning said, staring up at Riku's eyes boldly despite how he could severely hurt her at any point because of how close she was. "You're on the edge of both sides." He hadn't done much so far for Xehanort's team; it wasn't like he kidnapped anyone or severely wounded somebody. He still had a chance to turn back to the Light, before he did something he would regret.
Riku frowned at that, eyebrows furrowing. "Doubtful," he simply said, moving to pass Lightning. He was sick of her trying to convince him he was meant to be on the side of Light. It was clear that he was where he belonged; he succumbed to the Darkness so easily. That had to mean he was meant to be here.

Light stepped over to the side and stood in Riku's way once more. "If you were truly on the other side, you would have hurt me by now," Lightning said without looking away from Riku's eyes. He obviously still cared; he cared about Sora at least. And he was humoring her in conversation. If he really wanted to leave, he could have disappeared into a portal a long time ago.
Riku studied Lightning, all the while thinking she was leaning on false hope. He lifted a hand, slowly, toward her face. Was she right? Was he really not truly in the Darkness? Was he teetering on the edge?

Lightning couldn't help but glance over at Riku's hand with caution, but she then looked back into his eyes. She wasn't sure if this was a good thing or a bad thing, but if it was good, she didn't dare disrupt it. This was one of the first signs of a breakthrough with Riku; she wasn't about to ruin it just because there may have been a threat behind the action that she didn't see.
Riku ran the knuckles of his fingers over Lightning's cheek delicately, his eyebrows furrowing. She really believed he was meant to be on the other side, didn't she? In the Light? He disagreed, by a large amount. He fell to the Darkness once, and the battle was hard to return to the Light; he had never even been there, only on the path. He didn't make it for a reason, and returned to the Darkness. It was where he belonged.

Light leaned her head a little to the side at the small stroke, her eyes softening as she looked at Riku. This was a small glimpse of the Riku that she loved, even if his eyes were still golden. This was the proof that she needed that he was still in there somewhere. And he wanted to return; she knew that he did.
Riku saw the way Lightning leaned into his hand, and he knew his charade was working. He smiled then, teeth showing slightly as it turned dark. "Look at you," he started, "believing I'm actually the sap you fell in love with." He chuckled lowly before shaking his head. "Pathetic." He drew the hand near Lightning's face away slightly before backhanding her on the cheek, his evil personality returning. He wasn't dumb enough to fall for her stupid, lovesick lies.

Lightning grunted roughly at the slap, caught off guard. She stumbled back a step or two, lifting a hand to her face without looking up at Riku. But after a minute, she did. Alright, she finally thought. If that's how you want it. She pulled her sword out of her case and pointed it at Riku, though her finger wasn't on the trigger. Looks like I'll have to beat some sense into you.
Riku only continued to smile at the sword pointed at him, the young man holding his hand out and summoning Soul Eater to his palm. "Bring it on, baby," he said, mocking the person in front of him. He would have some fun with this.
  • Author
Oh, I will, Lightning thought, lifting her other hand and gripping the sword with both hands as she held it by her face. "Let's get something straight," she said lowly. "I'm not your 'baby', I'm Riku's. And you're not him." She knew her Riku wouldn't dare slap her even if she could take a hit. It did hurt a little to see him so evil now when she thought she saw a glimmer of hope in him just now, but she would push it aside. She had to snap him out of this.
"About time you realized it," Riku said, shaking his head a little before making eye contact with Lightning again. "So, are you finally going to move on?" He was done with all of this chasing. He was in the Darkness, where he belonged, and Lightning was just an annoyance.
  • Author
"Nope," Light said lowly, tightening her grip on her weapon. "Not while I'm still alive." So if he wanted her out of his life, he'd have to kill her. And they both knew from past experience that she didn't die easily. She'd win this fight with Riku right now and hope that it knocked some sense into him. It was her only hope.
Riku laughed, the sound evil and unlike his usual chuckles. He smiled in amusement, his eyes gleaming as he gazed at Lightning. "If that's what you want, sweetheart, I'll grant you your wish." He held his weapon in one hand and summoned Dark Aura, firing it at her while she was within a few feet. It was time she left him alone.

Lightning was hit by the attack, one that forced her back. She landed on the ground but rolled backwards till she was on her feet and steady. "C'mon!" she cried then, shifting Paradigms and sending a tornado Riku's direction. If it was a fight that he wanted, it was a fight that he would get. She'd fight cautiously for a while and study his style before she found a way to take him down without hurting him too severely. Losing wasn't in her agenda.
Riku teleported away from the tornado easily, appearing behind Lightning and swinging his blade at her back. He would take her down, and there would only be three left on the Light side. This would be a piece of cake.
