Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

After fighting in the frigid night for a good while, Light had to admit that Riku had stronger abilities because of the Darkness flooding through his veins. But Lightning had more determination than usual because of her desire to bring back Riku. She saw an opportunity to take him down, and though it was more forceful than she originally wanted, it was her only choice. She ducked to avoid his swinging sword, at the same time snapping her fingers and activating her gravity device. That was when she gave him a hard punch in the stomach, one that would paralyze him for a little while if all went according to plan.
Riku grunted roughly from the blow, the gravity device helping in sending him back a few yards. He landed roughly and rolled, stopping on his back in a pile of snow. The wind knocked out of him, he could only squeeze his eyes shut in pain. What's the matter with me?! That shouldn't have happened so easily!

Lightning walked over to Riku, wiping the sweat off her brow as she held her sword loosely by her side. She turned off the gravity device and stopped next to him, looking down at him as he laid in the snow. "Satisfied?" she asked lowly. "By now you should realize Darkness doesn't make you invincible." He thought that he could beat her, but he was wrong. She would never lose to him.
Riku fought the pain and smiled, keeping his eyes closed. "Never said I was, baby," he replied smoothly, coughing afterward because of the lack of air in his lungs. She could pack a hard punch, that was for sure, but she wouldn't defeat him completely. Besides, she'd never kill him; she was too set on getting "her Riku" back.

"As a person in the Darkness, you want power, right?" Lightning asked the young man lying on the ground, remaining next to him as she looked at his face. She knew the answer to that question, but she'd wait for him to answer before she said what she'd have to say. Maybe then he could finally take something to heart.
Riku recovered, taking in a breath and finally opening his eyes to meet the blue glaring down at him. "Hmph, 'course," he replied with a smirk. Why wouldn't he? And besides, wasn't that question a little unnecessary? It was obvious what he wanted.

"Then you need to learn what power is," Light said without removing her eyes from Riku. "True power is not from what you find in yourself, but what others unlock by supporting you. You want power? It's in the Light." She suddenly tensed, though it wasn't because of the words that she just got done speaking. All of her senses were suddenly going off in warning and when she looked up in front of her, she saw why. She feebly lifted her arms to block the huge blast of Light that was just sent at her, but it still sent her flying backwards. She rolled in the snow, stopping on her stomach and groaning in pain. She caught a brief glimpse of who the attack came from: Orphan.
Riku frowned at the words, but his eyes widened slightly at the attack. He turned his head, sitting up in the snow as he spotted Orphan. He smirked slightly before nodding to the girl's demon, knowing he could take it from here. Riku's part in this battle was over.

Orphan hmphed at Riku's smirk, glad to see that Lightning hadn't made any progress getting through to him. That boy was lost to the Darkness. Soon, Lightning would be as well. He stopped walking, staff in his hand as he looked at the girl who was slowly rising from the snow.

Light stumbled forward a step, briefly lifting a hand towards her head but then lowering it before it actually came in contact with her head. Now wasn't the time to get worked up over a headache. She lifted her gaze to Orphan, seeing his cocky expression. "Orphan," she said hoarsely, tightening her grip on her weapon. "You'll pay!" she cried then, rushing forward and swinging her weapon at the boy. But he only lifted his staff and blocked it. There was a barrier around his staff, so when Lightning hit it, it sent her flying backwards and into the snow again.

Riku was on his feet by this point, having dusted the snow off of him. He stood where he was, already out of the way, his eyes trailing Lightning as she flew back once more. This fight would be one he would never witness again. It was best to have a good view.

Orphan watched Lightning rise to her feet again, still unsteady but shaking it off. Clearly she wasn't giving up so easily. She charged forward in the same manner, swinging her weapon only to have it blocked by Orphan's staff. And again, the spell that he had around it sent her flying back so that she landed on the frozen ground with a hard impact. "Hm," he hummed, smirking faintly. "You're a slow learner." She should have tried a different attack.
Riku crossed his arms, lifting an eyebrow when he saw history repeat itself. The soldier was clearly frustrated, or else she wouldn't have been running in to attack so dangerously. It was obviously not working, but she wasn't buying into it. Lightning was only going to get herself killed.

"Yeah? I could say the same for you," Lightning panted, slowly rising to her feet out of the snow. "You should learn to stay dead." She and her friends killed him before, and she would kill him this time around so that he wouldn't hurt her family again. He was a puppeteer, always pulling at people's heartstrings. She hated it.

Orphan flexed his small hand, summoning lightning out of the sky to attack the soldier. Of course, it struck her right on. He heard her cry out in pain before she fell down again, on her hands and knees in weakness and pain. Her battle with Riku really did a number on her, but Orphan was about to make things much worse.

Riku only stood there, witnessing the scene. He was no longer involved, but he just couldn't summon a portal to leave. For some reason, he was locked in place, observing in silence.

"On your knees is where you belong, Claire," Orphan said as he approached the soldier. He stopped right in front of her and reached his hand for her only to see Lightning quickly push herself to her knees and reach for Orphan's neck. He was quicker than she was. He slashed at that arm with his weapon and cut through her sleeve, his other hand grasping her neck. "And on your knees, you will die," he finished lowly, tightening his grip on her neck and getting a muffled grunt in response.
Riku's gold eyes didn't dare look away, not that he could. Something was keeping him glued there, his feet in the snow and his eyes on the scene before him. The smirk that was on his face faded slowly, replaced with a frown. Whatever was happening, he wasn't sure he was comfortable with it.

Orphan glared at Lightning for a moment before he hmphed, releasing her neck. She lowered her head and took in a breath as he turned and walked away a few steps, stopping with his back to her. "But before you die, I would enjoy doing something."

"What's that?" Light panted, her voice hoarse as she glared at Orphan from her spot on her knees. She had one hand to her bleeding arm, the blood dripping into the pure white snow and contaminating its perfection.

"This." Orphan summoned two red circles, much like he did with Fang and Vanille so long ago. One went around each of Lightning's wrists and yanked her up so she was a foot or two off the ground, dangling because of the constraints on her wrist. By her suddenly wide eyes, he could tell she knew what was coming next. She cried out again when she was shocked and the shocking continued, the soldier being electrocuted for many seconds. This was something Orphan enjoyed very much, and it was just beginning.

The screaming that entered Riku's ears made him blink, suddenly feeling something impact his contaminated heart. He watched Lightning from where he stood, his expression not showing the discomfort he was suddenly in. What was the matter with him? Why did the girl's pain inflict strange feelings within him?

Orphan stopped the electricity, stepping forward and blowing a breath of healing at Lightning. Her body remained limp, but she was conscious enough to hear what he had to say. "Tell me this, girl," he said. "A while back, The Maker was summoned to destroy both Cocoon and Gran Pulse. But he failed. Why?"

Lightning grunted, lifting her head and looking down at Orphan on the ground. "What could you know about that?" she asked, voice raspy. Orphan just came back to life recently, didn't he? How could he know that The Maker failed to destroy her home? But her question was unanswered.

"Wrong answer," Orphan said. The torture started up again.

Riku uncrossed his arms, his hands instead fisting. What's...what's happening to me? he wondered silently, eyebrows furrowing deeply as he watched the scene before him. Seeing Lightning struggle and hearing her scream...it was doing something to him. Was he actually...feeling something because of it?

Orphan released Lightning from the torture, spoke a few words to her, and when she didn't give the answer that he wanted, he started it back up again. This was how it went for quite a while. He knew that she knew something about the Maker, and he wouldn't stop this torture until she told him the truth. He could keep this up all day.

Light felt the shocking stop again, and she couldn't recall how many times she went through this torture. Her mind was hardly clear when she was being electrocuted, but during the times between, she figured out something she could say that could get Orphan to stop. Before he even spoke to her, he sent a healing spell at her so she could speak. "I did it," she whispered. "I killed The Maker."

Orphan laughed. This was supposed to end the torture. "A pathetic human like you, defeating The Maker? I honestly doubt that." And he was right to doubt, because Lightning was lying. He didn't know it, but she was lying to protect Riku from any torture, since he was the one who ended up defeating the almighty Maker.

As Riku witnessed the action unfolding, heat rushed to his chest and surrounded his infected heart, warming it in a strange-yet-familiar way. Memories flashed before his eyes, of a time where he wasn't himself, but older. It was me...he learned, his gold eyes on Lightning as she dealt with the pain. She was protecting him, something he didn't expect. Riku closed his eyes, frowning as he tried to get the uncomfortable warmth to disappear. This wasn't right. He was in Darkness now; he wasn't supposed to be feeling this.

"I know," Lightning panted in agreement. "I don't even know how I did it. I...My family was in danger, and I had been building my strength with shields. I summoned one and it...reflected. I don't know how."

Orphan stared at Lightning, studying her even if she had her eyes shut and wasn't looking at him. He suddenly released her from the bonds, and she dropped into the snow like dead weight. He walked forward a few steps and stopped by her, seeing the burn marks all over the skin that was exposed. The electricity ripped through some of her clothing, creating tears in her leggings and in the stomach region of her coat. He felt satisfied at the pain, but angered with his frustration over The Maker. "Who do you think was behind it all, Claire?" he asked lowly. He didn't wait for a response. "It was me, pulling the strings. I destroyed your world after all." And now I'll destroy you.

Riku kept his eyes closed, his lips a firm line as he simply listened to the words being traded. For a moment his Darkness was weak and the Light was winning, but the Darkness came back and forced it out. It wasn't easy, feeling the battle within him, but Riku dealt with it. He couldn't do much else.

"I could have the pleasure of killing you off now, but that wouldn't be satisfying for me," Orphan declared. He reached and grabbed her arm, though she weakly tried to pull it away and out of his grasp.

"Get your filthy hands off--"

"You are in no place to order me around!" Orphan boomed. I shall decide your fate right now! His hand glowed red over Lightning's arm, engraving a number into it. She groaned in pain as the spell was cast, though it only took a few seconds. Orphan released her and stepped back, watching the soldier fall on her face in the snow. He looked at the numbers on her arm, showing the affects of the Doom spell. It was ticking away, counting down the hours and minutes she had left. "You have two days to live, if you can pick yourself off the ground now," he said to the girl who may or may not have been conscious. He vanished, leaving her to rot.
