Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku kept his eyes closed, though the silence told him that he and Lightning were alone; Orphan had left. He didn't dare open his eyes, actually afraid of what he might see. And what he saw could easily affect his heart, something that was not okay. He was in Darkness now; no care should have been seeping from him and to this girl.

Lightning winced after a minute of lying in the snow, feeling the burns against the ice cold snow. She felt something else after a moment though; something nudging her. She opened her eyes and turned her head, seeing that Odin appeared of his own will and was a horse, nudging her with his nose to try and help her somehow. But she could hardly move. She was able to lift one arm though and wipe at her chin, wiping away blood. One minute. Just give me one minute and I'll get up. I don't have time to recover from this fight...
Riku finally opened his eyes after a minute, and though they were still gold, he swore they could have been the aquamarine he had before turning to Darkness. The strange-yet-familiar feeling of care washed over him then, seeing Lightning in the snow and hurt, a Doom spell now cast on her. He knew she was running out of time, but he couldn't find his voice to tell her that it would be wise if she hurried up.

Lightning felt Odin move, the horse nudging her shoulder as he stood in front of her. She lifted her head and saw that his weapon was in his mouth, and she understood. She first managed to put her sword back in its case before she grasped the weapon and started pulling herself to her feet, though much of the work was done by Odin. She was unsteady once she was on her feet, and Odin managed to swing her up onto his back using the weapon in his mouth. The move was a swift one, meant to be gentle, but she still groaned in pain. She leaned forward against his neck, feeling a faint wind blowing something against her arm. It was an item that she nearly forgot about: Riku's blindfold, tied in a bow around her bicep.
The shock was wearing off, and Riku started to feel his Darkness taking over again, shrouding the Light that had briefly impacted his heart. He lowered his eyes to the snow, frowning. What was happening to him? This wasn't how it was supposed to work.

Because Lightning and Odin shared a special bond, he knew what she was thinking. He walked the two of them over to where Riku was still standing. She could somehow tell that he was a different person than he had been before. "Hey," she said softly from her seat on Odin, looking down at him as she sat more upright. She untied the blindfold and held it out for Riku; it was his to take. She thought he was ready for it. Hoped he was ready for it.
Riku looked up at Lightning, mounted on her horse. He eyed the fabric in her hand and his eyes narrowed slightly. "What do you expect me to do with that?" he asked, his voice tight as the Darkness tried fighting the small amount of Light within his heart. Accepting the blindfold would be defeat against the Light, and his Darkness wouldn't allow it.

"I expect that you'll know what to do with it when the time's right," Light said, dropping the blindfold for Riku to grab. It would help him fight the Darkness within him, if he was ready to take that step. She hoped that he was, because she needed him now very badly. She had less than two days; time was ticking away. She needed to figure out what she was supposed to do in order to stop the Doom spell from taking her life. ...She needed to leave Riku alone for now and let him fight his own battle.
Riku lifted a hand and quickly snatched the blindfold out of the air, lowering his gold gaze to rest on the fabric in his palm. He frowned at it, but otherwise didn't say a word. When the time was right? That was if that time ever even came.

"I'll come back for you soon," Lightning promised after a moment, feeling Odin shift his weight beneath her. He knew that it was time to go. He used his own strength (since she didn't have any left) and summoned a portal in front of them. He ran through it, taking them away from that world so that they could start fixing this problem that Orphan caused.
Riku watched Lightning go, the portal disappearing after a moment. When all he could hear was silence, the snow starting to fall on his form, he looked back down at the fabric in his hand. He frowned and stuffed it in his pocket, summoning his own portal to leave the area. His time here was over.

The Realm of Darkness, a few hours later

Ven muffled a cry when he was thrown back by Vanitas, his back hitting a tree. He sank down into a sitting position, feeling the dense, cold air of the Realm of Darkness surrounding him. How long had he been here? A few hours? He didn't realize that it was a few days, since time flowed differently in this Realm. He lifted his eyes and saw Vanitas, eyes narrowed despite his tiredness and weakness. By now he realized he was tricked into coming here.

"Get up, Ventus!" Vanitas snapped, walking towards the person he just threw against a tree. "Get up!" He wasn't done with him yet. If this was going to be their final brawl, he was going to make it a good one. He couldn't have the loser before him wounded halfway through.

Ven weakly lifted his head, and all that he could do was sit where he was and point his Keyblade at Vanitas. The Realm of Darkness made him more irritable than he normally was in the Realm of Light. It was feeding his true nature. And that nature was that Vanitas was pure evil.
Vanitas ground his teeth together, walking forward a few more paces before shooting a spell of Dark Thunder at Ventus, watching it zap the tree right near the boy's head. "I said, get up!" he roared, infuriated. This fight wasn't done yet.

Ven's already narrowed eyes became more narrow as he glared at Vanitas, and he did manage to force himself to his feet again. But he knew that next time he was knocked down, he wouldn't be able to get back up again. He was too weak in this realm to last much longer than he already had, and Vanitas was far too strong for him.
"That's it," Vanitas said, an evil smile working its way across his lips. He was proud of the loser for actually getting back up on his feet; he knew he had it in him. Now they just had to fight for a few more minutes. "You follow orders well."
  • Author
"Shut up." That was all that Ven could think to say at that time. He was tired and hurt and he just wanted this to be done already! Vanitas already tricked him into coming to this realm, and now he was kicking his butt just for the fun of it. He didn't intend to kill him here, did he?
Vanitas only chuckled, tilting his head back slightly before shaking his head of dark spikes at the boy. "Shut up? That's the best you can come up with?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow. "Hm. Guess it's time I finally told you why you're here, huh Ventus?" It was a good reason, indeed.
  • Author
"I think I'm smart enough to figure out that reason on my own," Ven said with a small grunt. "You like beating me to a pulp." Vanitas was a sick human being...or whatever he was. He was more like evil incarnate than anything else. He may have come from Ven's heart, but he was very heartless.
"Correct," Vanitas confirmed with a nod. "But there's more to it than that." He started pacing the area, the dirt crumbling underneath his boots. "You see, Ventus, there are four ways in which things can end. You and me, we're meant to be as one, but no one specified whose body would be the shell." He smirked slightly at the idea, of all four ways that this could unfold. It would be a fun match.

Ven slowly lowered his outstretched Keyblade, following Vanitas with his eyes. Obviously he was excited about something, and that gave Ven a bad feeling in his heart. Vanitas was saying that they would have to fuse together again, and that was the last thing that he wanted. He didn't want to risk recreating the X-blade, even if it was locked away in Kingdom Hearts now.
"We'll fight again to forge the X-blade, there's no doubt about that," Vanitas continued, his Keyblade gone as his hands were linked behind his back, the boy pacing back the way he came. "But whose form we enter will be a deciding factor as to who rules. When we fight and if I am absorbed into you, your body is what we are fighting over. If you fade and are absorbed into me, it is my form we battle for dominance over." Vanitas stopped, his gold eyes resting on the blue opposite him. "Say you win in your body. You keep your form and I fade away. If I win, your body is mine to control. If we fight in my body and I win, your Light is overshadowed and my body is mine to keep. However, if you win in my body, it is yours."

Ventus's head was spinning, not just because of the air in the Realm of Darkness but because of what Vanitas was saying. He thought they were forming the X-blade again, but there was no guarantee it'd work. The rest of what he said...Ven would have to ponder it more to fully understand it. It was all so complicated, and he couldn't sort it out when he was in this condition.
Vanitas smirked at the look on Ventus's face, and he opened a portal near the boy. "I see you need some time to think about it," he said then. "You have a few days to recover, but then I'll be coming for you. It's time for us to be one, Ventus, and this time I won't be losing." He sent a surge of Darkness toward Ventus, meant to propel him out of the Realm of Darkness. Their time here was up for now.
