Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Axel looked up at Roxas, seeing his expression defensive for Namine's sake. He silently lifted his hands to show he meant no harm before he turned, taking a few steps away from Namine and keeping his back to her. He knew he got his point across, and while he wished he didn't need to do it so harshly, he wouldn't take it back. His family's safety came before everything else.
Roxas ground his teeth together, his expression showing his anger at Axel raising his voice to Namine. He started toward her, taking a seat beside her on the couch. He looked at her for a moment and hesitantly lifted a hand, placing it atop her gloved one. What was going on here?

Namine shook her head faintly to Roxas's unasked question. Nothing was going on; everything was fine. Axel didn't threaten her; he just startled her so that she was silent and didn't say something stupid. At the risk of doing so now, she kept her mouth sealed shut. She didn't want to mess things up.
Roxas's eyebrows furrowed more, the boy not believing it. "What's going on?" he asked then, though the question was open to Namine and to Axel. Roxas turned his head to look up at his former best friend, who was a few strides away. What was the shouting about?

"Nothing," Axel said at the same time as Namine. There was nothing going on. Namine strayed off and discovered his "little secret", but it was a secret that she would keep to herself. She was smart enough to figure it out, and hopefully she was smart enough to keep her mouth shut. If she didn't, he'd have to shut it. Even if she was a friend, his family meant more. Especially little Lisa.
Roxas blinked, looking between the two of them when they spoke at the same time. As if that wasn't suspicious. "You're lying," he said, looking from Axel to Namine. "You both are." He wasn't appreciating this. He wanted the truth, especially if Namine was being threatened.

Namine lifted her gaze, seeing Axel looking at her out of the corner of his eye. "I wandered off," she said after a moment, looking down at her lap. "That's all." By now she and Roxas both understood that Axel needed to know where they were at all times, so Roxas could imagine that Axel would get mad if he lost track of one of them even for a little while.
Roxas's eyes narrowed, not believing that one bit. "I wandered off, and he didn't scream at me," he pointed out, glancing over at Axel. He actually had a small conversation with the redhead. If anyone should have gotten in trouble, it was Roxas; he was the one who would be most likely to create a problem.

"You weren't trying to make a run for it," Axel said lowly, mumbling the words as if Roxas wasn't supposed to hear him. But he was. Over the years, Axel became a very good actor. He was sorry he had to lie and say Namine was trying to leave Roxas behind, but that was the only story he could come up with.
"Namine's not stupid. She knows she wouldn't have a chance," Roxas said, squeezing Namine's hand briefly before looking over at her. She wouldn't look at him, and she was being...different. "...You're lying." He could understand why Axel would lie; he was a traitor. But why would Namine?
  • Author
"You go on believing that," Axel said, Namine's silence assisting him. She was probably surprised at the accusation, too surprised to speak up and defend herself. That worked in Axel's favor, because it made her look more guilty. I'm sorry, Namine.
"Shut up, Axel!" Roxas said then, his patience running on a short fuse. He wasn't helping anything, especially when Roxas was trying to focus on Namine. Why wasn't she saying anything? She was really lying, wasn't she?

Namine drew in a breath at Roxas's angered words, her gaze going from Roxas to Axel and then back again when the redhead was silent. She didn't want to speak up while he was here; she had to admit that he did scare her a little bit. He would do whatever it took to protect his family...even hurt her.
Roxas felt slightly relieved that Axel didn't respond, finally doing as he asked. But the blond turned his attention to the girl beside him, a person he trusted. But she was being too quiet, too suspicious. She was hiding something from him, and that felt like betrayal. "You're lying," he stated then, no question in his tone. "You're lying and siding with him." Axel did something to her, or maybe she switched sides. Whichever, Roxas wasn't happy about it.

Namine's eyes widened at the accusation. "N-no," she stuttered. She wasn't lying, because she wasn't saying anything. And she wasn't siding with Axel's lies, she just...She knew that it wasn't her place to tell Roxas about what she discovered. Axel had his reasons for keeping it hidden, and clearly she wasn't meant to know at all. If she told, he could hurt her. Maybe. He was unpredictable right now.
"Again with the lies," Roxas muttered, releasing Namine's hand and standing from the couch. She was becoming just like Axel, turning her back on him and feeding him lies. Betrayal was something they had in common, and that hurt Roxas a lot.

Namine's eyes remained wide as she pushed herself up to her feet. "Roxas, I'm not lying," she insisted softly. "I wandered off and Axel yelled at me. That's it." Maybe she was leaving out some detail in there, but she wasn't lying. Why was Roxas so eager to distrust her? She hardly ever lied to him! And when she did, she always had a good reason to.
"Don't you get it?" Roxas replied, facing Namine. "I wandered off and he didn't say a thing to me! You think I'm honestly gonna believe you got in trouble for wandering around your prison?" That was such bull, and he wasn't about to be the gullible one and believe it.

"Yes, because it's the truth!" Namine said. She glanced over at Axel briefly, shrinking back a little bit at his angry expression. He thought that she was going to tell Roxas the whole truth. But she wouldn't, not before she got a chance to speak to Axel. This was his business, not hers. She almost wished she was left in the dark, but now she knew why her friend was acting strange, at least.
Roxas glanced between Namine and Axel when the former reacted to the redhead's glare. "You're hiding something," he said, sensing it. He was more observant than he was a few years ago; he wasn't stupid. And he wasn't about to stick around and be treated like it any longer. His eyes found Namine then, scornful and hurt. "Thanks for being honest, Nam." He turned then, walking out. He wasn't going to deal with this anymore; it was time he went and found Xion, to prove he wasn't crazy.

Namine's eyes widened, both in hurt and confusion. "Roxas!" she called after him. Wait!

"Where are you going?" Axel called after Roxas, taking a step forward. The blond was leaving the scene, clearly, but he wasn't heading in just any old direction in this castle. He was heading towards the exit.

"Away from you," Roxas spat over his shoulder, continuing to walk. One thing Axel forgot about Keybladers? They had gliders, which meant transportation wasn't limited for them. And it wasn't limited for Roxas. He was getting out of here, to go find Xion. Since Namine and Axel were so close now, he trusted that she would be taken care of.

Axel glanced back at Namine when Roxas was out of sight. "I'm sorry," he said softly to her. "...Stay here." He started walking after Roxas, planning on following from a distance just to make sure he wasn't going to do something stupid. If he left Namine here, then Axel could only assume what Xemnas would order him to do: Kill her. He didn't want that happening.
Roxas walked down the hall and took a turn, knowing from memory where he was giong. He approached one of the balconies and glanced down, seeing the many levels of the castle below him. But above there was nothing but sky, which meant he had a clear route to escape.

Axel silently followed Roxas, seeing him standing by the balcony. He ducked behind a corner, his shoulders slumping in relief. Roxas wasn't running off in anger, thank goodness. Axel could try to stop him if he did that, but the most effective way of keeping Roxas in line was to threaten Namine. It was a sad but very true reality that he came to accept.
