Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi reached out towards Sora instinctively, her eyes wide in fear. What just happened? He stood right in the Darkside's attack range, and didn't even try defending himself! That wasn't the Sora she knew. Something was wrong...

Sora shook it off, lifting his Keyblade and shooting off a beam of Light at the hand that was reaching for him. It forced the Darkside to back off, which gave him time to rise to his feet again. He held the Keyblade with both hands in front of him, tilting it down as he caught his breath and glared at the Darkside. Fleeing from this fight wasn't an option; he had to stop the Darkside before he went into town.
Kairi kept her place closer to the Bailey, watching in anxiousness. She knew Sora was strong enough to handle this Darkside all on his own, but he'd spent the last few days defending himself anyway. Did he really have the strength?

Sora saw a hand coming towards him again, and when he dodged it, it hit the ground so hard that it sent a shockwave across the floor. He stumbled a step, realizing that wasn't the only attack too late. A hand suddenly encircled him, picking him up and pinning his arms to his sides. He struggled as the Darkside lifted him so he was closer to his face, Sora's head spinning because of weakness, among other reasons that he didn't understand. He couldn't take the time to focus on it now; he had to get out of this!
Kairi gasped, her heart skipping in fear as she saw what was happening. The Star Shard now in her pouch, she decided it was time she took some action of her own. She ran forward, summoning her Keyblade to her simultaneously. "Thunder!" she cried, swinging her Keyblade in an upward arch towards the Darkside. She watched the lightning bolts strike the creature from below. She had to help Sora, and this was the only way!

Sora wiggled himself loose because of the spell that hurt the Heartless, though he wasn't sure who cast it. He heard the cry but didn't recognize it because that voice normally wasn't raised. He dropped out of the Heartless's hand and onto his glider, which he summoned out of nowhere. At the same time, he charged his Keyblade so it was charged with Light. The element surrounded it as he chucked it at the Darkside's face, hitting him dead on and forcing him backwards. If he wasn't mistaken, he started fading away then. It's about time.
Kairi slowed her run until she stopped, her eyes on the creature as it began to fade away, revealing the path toward Ansem's computer room. She lifted her gaze to the person on his glider, deciding she would provide her assistance one more time. "Heal," Kairi softly called, jabbing her Keyblade above her head as she focused the spell on Sora. She sure hoped he was okay.

Sora shut his eyes at the healing spell that washed over him, though there was another type of warmth in his heart that wasn't caused by the spell. He lowered his glider and turned around once he landed on the ground, his armor staying on as his eyes widened considerably. That wasn't just any person; it was his beloved. "K-Kairi!?"
Kairi kept her Keyblade in her dominant hand, the weapon at her side as she stood up straight. "Mm," she replied with a small nod, the faintest of smiles on her lips. She loved to hear that voice, and that was what caused her to smile. She had been so worried about him...

Sora's eyes darted to the weapon in Kairi's hand. Again, streams of data appeared in his vision, much like a computer screen. It was data that he either didn't understand or didn't care about. His eyes then went to Kairi, and much, much more data appeared. He stumbled back a step, seeing words like "Princess of Heart" flashing before his eyes along with other pieces of information that was collected on Kairi at some point. It was overwhelming.
Kairi's smile disappeared instantly, worry expressed on her instead. "Sora?" she called, taking a few steps toward him. What was the matter? He looked...dazed, almost. Puzzled.

Sora shook his head faintly, snapping out of the daze when he heard Kairi's voice. "Nothing," he said. Everything was fine...sort of. He was alive; but that was about the only thing that was going right these days. Ever since his fight with Xemnas, he was getting these weird images in his head and data and information at random times. It was really messing him up, especially in battle.
Kairi summoned her Keyblade away in a flash of light, the girl walking a few more steps to stand in front of her beloved. She couldn't see his face past his helmet, but she could see her own reflection; she looked confused and worried all at the same time. Kairi lifted her hands toward Sora's helmet, wanting to take it off and see the blue eyes she had missed so much.

Sora's eyes widened behind his helmet, and the teen automatically lifted his hands and stopped Kairi's before they could touch the helmet. "Now's not a good time," he said quickly, referring to taking off the helmet. ...He couldn't have her seeing the look in his eyes, or the scar that he received from his last battle with Xemnas. She'd be devastated.
Kairi blinked, glancing down at Sora's hands holding hers before she looked back up at his helmet. "...Why not?' she questioned. Was he going to stay in his armor forever? That would just be silly.

Sora lowered Kairi's hands, still holding onto them. He could tell she was confused, but he wasn't going to give her the truth. He couldn't bear it if she knew what happened. "Because, uh, this is a really dangerous area. What are you doing in a place like this, anyway?" he asked, changing the topic. Obviously he was glad to see her, but she was supposed to be with King Mickey! It was dangerous for her to be out, especially after what happened with Namine.
"I came to look for you," Kairi answered, her eyes soft as she remembered how scared she had been. "I had to see you, after what the King said." He said Sora was missing for more than a couple days, and that terrified her. She was glad she found him.

"Kairi, you should have stayed at the castle," Sora said gently. "It's too dangerous for you out here." Not only were there a ton of Heartless, but Xehanort and his minions were out there too. And Sora thought there was another threat as well. He didn't know what it was, but that was what he was trying to find out now. Something just wasn't right with all this.
"You saw what I did," Kairi defended, her eyebrows furrowing as she gazed into Sora's visor, wishing she could see his eyes. "I can take care of myself." She wasn't the helpless Princess of Heart anymore. It was her turn to fight back and protect those she loved.

Sora shook his head, releasing Kairi's hands. "Maybe against a Heartless or two, but not against everything else out there. Two weeks ago, you couldn't even summon your Keyblade, baby," he said gently. "You can't be an expert fighter in that short amount of time." He knew from experience that it took a lot more than two weeks to become a master of a weapon and fighting form.
Kairi blinked at the words, and though she knew Sora was trying to be gentle, it still hurt. She looked away, nodding. "Right," she agreed softly, staring down at his armor. At least she was making progress.

Sora lifted a hand to Kairi's cheek, gazing at her tinted form behind his visor. "Let's go back to the castle, okay?" he said quietly, though it wasn't really a question. He was going to take her back, because that was where she was safest. Sticking around with him wouldn't be safe; it would be extremely dangerous. He was running into danger and he knew it.
Kairi lifted her eyes to gaze at Sora's visor, and she lifted a hand to his wrist. "No," she said with a slight shake of her head. "I'm not leaving you." She was terrified for his safety every day she was away from him, and she didn't want to go through it again.
  • Author
Sora blinked in surprise to Kairi's refusal. "Kairi..." he started softly, shaking his head. He shouldn't have made it sound like she had a choice in the matter. She was going back to the castle, no matter what. If she stayed out here, she could end up like Namine did: captured. He wasn't about to let it happen.
"No, Sora. I'm not letting you go alone," Kairi insisted, eyebrows furrowing as she stood her ground. She wasn't about to let him tell her to go back when she had no part to play. She could help, but he had to let her. She didn't want to be out of the loop any longer.
