Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku turned around, facing Sora as they stood a few yards apart. "Today we'll be focusing on a new situation-based lesson," he said. "We'll see if you can handle it by the end of the session."

Sora arched a brow, wondering what Riku was talking about. "What is it?" he asked without thought, eyes on his teacher and best friend. What did he have in mind?
"Since you asked..." Riku lifted his arm out in front of him and called to his Keyblade. Way to Dawn appeared in a glow of light in his grap, and he looked from it to Sora, lifting his eyebrows.

Sora felt confused at the appearance of the weapon, and he tilted his head slightly as he looked past the Keyblade to Riku. "Okay...?" he said, his tone identifying his question. Why do you have your Keyblade?
"You're going to learn how to defend yourself against somebody that has a weapon," Riku said, twirling his Keyblade in his hand for emphasis. He was of course going to teach him, but then they'd have a match near the end of the training to see how well Sora was progressing.

"...Alright," Sora said with a faint nod. This was definitely the most dangerous thing they had done so far, but he knew that it was perhaps the most important lesson he could have at the same time. He would just have to really be on his guard and not slip up.
"We'll start with the basics," Riku said with a nod. "Dodging." He then pulled his arm back, forcing it forward once he gathered enough blue energy. He then performed Dark Aura, shooting it forward.

Sora grunted, having seen that move countless times before. He dodge-rolled out of the way, the attack hitting the sand where he had previously been standing.
Riku didn't stop there, repeatedly sending out more Dark Aura attacks. Sora had to learn to be prepared for anything and everything, just as he'd pointed out on the first lesson.

Sora was surprised when they came again, having thought that he passed the test the first time. Instinct took over as he rolled forward closer to Riku. When he was by his friend, he lifted a hand and aimed for Riku's right hand, hoping to knock the Keyblade out of his grasp.
Riku saw Sora's hand coming for the hilt of his blade and he instinctively did a full turn out of the way, not giving Sora the chance to disarm him just yet.
  • Author
Sora should have known that it would be harder to disarm Riku than that. But unfortunately, now he was too close to do a high kick. At that thought, he bent down, sweeping his foot along the sand and attempting to kick Riku's legs.
Riku jumped up, leaping over Sora's leg. He then did what was necessary, lowering his blade and pointing its tip at Sora. They had some things to cover before they moved on.

Sora saw the tip of the blade in his face, and he knew that Riku had him beat in only a few moves. He felt bad about being so easily beaten, and he couldn't help but burrow his eyebrows slightly in distaste.
"No offense," Riku said beforehand, "but I expected this." He was talking about how easily Sora would be beaten without his own weapon against somebody that wielded one. It was just the way things usually were.
  • Author
Sora nodded slightly, trying to stay focused on the situation at hand and not his disappointed. It was his first time at this, after all. He had a lot to learn; he shouldn't have felt so defeated this early on.
Riku pulled his blade away from Sora's face and instead offered his free hand to help him up. Sora just covered the basics, which was dodging and retaliating. But now he needed to know how to successfully defend and attack, not miss.
  • Author
Sora reached up a hand and grabbed the one that was offered to him, easily rising to his feet. He nodded slightly when his hand was back down at his side, telling Riku he was ready to learn what he had to teach.
Kairi watched with interest as the boys practiced before her, and there had been a couple times where she was worried. However, Sora always managed to recover if things too rough. And now, the Riku and Sora were in their final match, having covered the new lessons and moved straight to the real fight. Kairi watched with alert eyes, hoping nobody got hurt.

Sora kept a small distance between him and Riku as he was instructed to do, the teen moving one of his shoulders back when Riku swung at him vertically. This was the real test, to see if he learned anything at all. And he hoped he passed.
Riku saw that Sora managed to dodge his swing, so he instead attacked horizontally, a grunt leaving his lips at how hard he was swinging. Sora was doing well, and he was impressed. But there was still room for improvement. One day of training wouldn't completely get Sora ready.
  • Author
Sora grunted, pulling back his chest but keeping his feet planted. He reached forward and got a firm grip on Riku's swinging arm with both hands when it passed, trying to lock it so he couldn't swing again.
Riku grunted when his arm was suddenly caught in Sora's grasp, and he furrowed his eyebrows. What was Sora doing?
  • Author
Sora turned but managed to keep Riku's arm in his grasp, the teen standing right in front of him. He then tugged on his friend's arm and flipped him over him like Riku had done the first day of training to him.
Riku landed on the ground with a grunt, the air leaving his lungs. His grasp on Way to Dawn released, and the blade fell out of his hand a few feet away. He stared up at Sora with alarmed eyes, surprised.
