Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi moved her head at the touch and soft voice, lifting it away from the wall as she opened her eyes. She squinted because of the light, lifting a hand to rub one of them as she noticed Sora in front of her...and that helmet. Sora...she thought in disbelief. Why was he wearing that thing?

Sora took his hand off Kairi's knee, deciphering that she was giving him a look even if her expression still showed a lot of sleepiness. "It's time to go," he said quietly, starting to rise to his feet. He wasn't positive on where they were going; anywhere that could possibly give him answers to these weird visions he was having. He had a lot of them last night when he was looking at the computer, and Kairi became alarmed. But he just told her he had a nasty headache, and that was why he kept gripping his head.
Kairi pushed herself to her feet and stretched, arching her back slightly before she relaxed. She nodded to Sora silently, signaling she was ready to go. She wasn't sure where they would be going exactly, but she wasn't about to leave his side. They were in this together now.

Sora nodded slightly, motioning for Kairi to come follow him as he started walking. Maybe they'd go to the King's library. No; Sora didn't want Donald and Goofy asking about the helmet thing. Same thing with the Radiant Garden library. There were no worlds where Sora could just slink into the background and be ignored...He was wishing right now he wasn't so personable.
Kairi walked slightly behind Sora, the boy almost a step ahead of her. She eyed him for a moment before quickening her pace, walking beside him. She leaned forward slightly, looking at his helmet. "You're still wearing that thing?" she asked. She thought it had just been because of the Darkside yesterday, but that clearly wasn't it.

Sora nodded faintly. "Another headache," he lied without looking over at Kairi. "Thought it'd help block a lot of the bright light." While it was true that he had a minor headache, he wasn't wearing the helmet to help with that. He couldn't bear to let Kairi see the scar that was now on his face, or the look in his eyes. It would break her heart.
Kairi's eyebrows furrowed in suspicion, but she otherwise didn't say a word. She focused forward, keeping quiet as they walked. A headache? He still had one of those? She was sure a cure spell would have helped with that, but maybe she was wrong...

Sora and Kairi shared a special connection, so of course he could tell that she didn't believe him. Still, he didn't bother saying anything. What was there to say, other than the truth? Not much, which was why he stayed quiet. Kairi couldn't know about what happened with Xemnas, or the visions.
"...Did you ever get to Roxas and Namine?" Kairi asked, eyeing the ground as they walked. She never did hear that story, nor did she understand why her two blond friends weren't with them at that moment. What happened to them?

"No," Sora said, shaking his head as his hands curled by his sides. No, he didn't reach Roxas and Namine. In fact, they probably didn't even know that he came after them. How pathetic was that? He should have gotten them, but he ran like a coward because of Xemnas's attack...
Kairi lifted her gaze. "So what happened?" she asked. What was his reason for not reaching them? Who or what got in the way, other than this new threat that she knew so little about? She had a feeling Sora was hiding something from her, and that kind of hurt.

"I wasn't able to get past the castle's defenses," Sora said, being vague. Xemnas was the defense. He got in Sora's way soon after he entered the castle and the fight began almost immediately. The scarring...that came later.
That's strange, Kairi thought suddenly. If Sora could take down a Darkside and many other Heartless all on his own, he could take down the castle's defenses, couldn't he? He's hiding something from me...I just know it.

If Sora wasn't wearing the helmet, he would have scratched the side of his head. He could tell Kairi was cynical, so he finally gave her a bit of the truth. "Xemnas," he finally said. "He got in my way." And it was through him that these visions started, or so he guessed. They only started coming after that battle.
"Mm," Kairi hummed softly. "And clearly he won." If that was the case, the others wouldn't have told King Mickey about Xemnas showing up for the fight the day before. Was that why Sora was so different? Because he lost to Xemnas? But how did he lose?
  • Author
"Yeah," Sora said, his pace picking up a little bit. He wasn't trying to get away from Kairi; he just was worked up about what happened with Xemnas. That was a brand new attack, one he couldn't see coming or deflect. It was also one he couldn't heal. He tried, but...Nothing worked.
Kairi turned her head slightly, watching Sora as he gradually got further ahead. That was when she stopped walking completely, eyeing him suspiciously. Something was really wrong here; she could feel it from within. Sora wasn't the same person she said "yes" to when asked to marry him.

Sora stopped walking when he sensed Kairi stop, the teen turning around and seeing her a few yards back. "Everything okay?" he asked her, though he wasn't sure if he really wanted an answer. He didn't want her bringing up any touchy subjects, but knowing her, she would. She didn't have the patience for lies.
Kairi tilted her head slightly, having nothing to gaze at but the visor of Sora's helmet. "...I could ask you the same thing," she admitted softly, not wanting to bring up a touchy subject but needing to. Something was going on with him, and she wasn't a fan of it.

Sora glanced away. "I'm stressed," he said softly. "...You don't want to see my expression right now. Trust me." He turned and started walking again, hoping to leave it at that. Maybe, just this once, he'd get lucky and Kairi would drop the subject. She really, really didn't want to see him right now.
Kairi ran forward the few feet between her and Sora, grasping his hand and pulling him to a stop. "What if I do?" she asked, her heart speaking for her as she gazed at the back of his helmet. Maybe she did want to see his expression, and he was just trying to come up with reasons for her not to. But why?

Sora stopped walking, not responding as he lowered his head. He wasn't surprised. The question was, why did he even bother trying to hide it from Kairi? He knew she would have to see his face eventually. It wasn't like he could live his life in his armor, or even just his helmet.
Kairi squeezed Sora's hand, continuing to hold it as she stepped to be in front of him. She wasn't sure why he was in his armor all the time, but she would appreciate it if he would let her know the reason. She lifted one hand to his helmet, watching her fingers as they glided over the metal. Would he let her take it off?

"You're not going to like it," Sora said softly, his eyes shut. Still, he could sense that Kairi was standing in front of him now and was ready to take off the helmet. And by his tone and by his words, he was implying that she had permission to do just that. He couldn't hide it any longer; his fiance needed to see what Xemnas did.
Kairi squeezed Sora's gloved hand one more time before slowly releasing it, lifting that hand to sit on the side of Sora's helmet. She wasn't sure if his eyes were open or not, but she gazed into his visor, hoping he would trust her. She grasped the helmet and lifted it, pulling it off his head and revealing his face.
