Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora kept his eyes shut, feeling his hair fall back into its normal place once his face was exposed. He could feel Kairi's gaze on him, but he didn't dare open his eyes and see what her reaction was. The scar between his eyes...It was one inflicted with Darkness. There were no Cure spells that could make it go away. It was a permanent reminder of his failure. And his weakness.
Kairi brought the helmet down, her eyes on the large gash between his eyes. "...Sora," she whispered softly, concern in her voice as she set the helmet down on a rock nearby. What happened to you? she wondered, lifting one hand to cup his cheek as the other was used to finger the mark. Was this Xemnas's doing?

Sora's eyebrows furrowed, both because of Kairi's tone and her response. "Xemnas," he said softly, simply. Xemnas was the one who inflicted the wound that wouldn't heal. It was his fault that Sora wasn't able to reach Namine and Roxas and help them escape. He went into the fight confident, and left with his confidence shattered.
Kairi let her fingertips trail over the mark one more time before she let that hand sit on the other side of Sora's face. "...Look at me," she requested softly, wanting to see the eyes she could swim in for hours and had dreamed of for nights at a time while he was gone. What happened with Xemnas, it wasn't his fault. Sora couldn't blame himself.

Sora was about to protest, but what was the point? Kairi would get her way eventually; she was his fiance, for crying out loud. He couldn't go the rest of his life without looking her in the eye because of his anxieties. He slowly opened his eyes, seeing Kairi clearly for the first time in a while.
Kairi blinked at the look in Sora's eyes, seeing for the first time how anxious he was. She could only guess that it was about the situation as a whole, as well as the concerns with this new threat he spoke of. She raked a hand through his hair before bringing it back to rest on his face lightly. "It's not your fault," she said with a small shake of her head, aware that he was calling himself out for the mistakes. "Don't blame yourself for the outcomes. You can't control everything on your own."

"No," Sora agreed. "But I should be able to control myself." He looked into her eyes, pained. "I ran away, Kairi. I ran away like a coward." As soon as the blow was struck, he panicked and fled. He left Roxas and Namine to fend for themselves like a jerk would. He wished he could go back and change it all, but he couldn't. And these visions...They were very overwhelming.
Kairi's eyes softened, recognizing the hurt in Sora's eyes and voice. She ran a thumb over the skin of his cheek. "You're not a coward," she told him gently. "You were overwhelmed." Sora didn't usually run away from any battle, so if he did, it was for good reason.
  • Author
Sora shut his eyes, feeling Kairi's thumb go over his skin. "Yeah," he agreed softly. "And I still am overwhelmed, but not just because of the scar." The visions, or flashes, whatever they were...They were distracting him in battle and giving him constant headaches. They came up at the most random times, too. He didn't get it.
"What else is the matter?" Kairi asked, tilting her head as she kept her eyes on her fiance. She couldn't help remove the scar, because she was sure Sora tried, but she could help with something else. Anything that she could.

Sora's eyebrows furrowed in seriousness, his eyes remaining shut. "Ever since that battle, I've been having these weird...visions. They're not even real visions though, it's just...flashes of information appearing." It was so random and it was driving him nuts. What was he supposed to do with data about different enemies; he already knew how to defeat enemies without all the technical information. If anything, the technical stuff was making it harder for him to defeat his enemies.
Kairi lowered her hands slowly, eyebrows falling slightly. Visions and information? That was interesting, but she couldn't even begin to guess where it came from. Was it after the fight with Xemnas that Sora started having these visions?
  • Author
Sora opened his eyes, looking at Kairi. "That's how I got the idea that there's a bigger threat," he said. "I was hoping doing some research would trigger a vision that would actually help me, but so far, it's just pointless information that feels like it's frying my brain." He was really, really getting overwhelmed by these visions. If he could just learn how to control them, maybe he'd be alright.
"Maybe you're trying too hard," Kairi reasoned, shrugging slightly. "Let the visions come to you. You'll have the right one when the time comes." In other words, it would come to him when the time was right. Sora couldn't rush destiny.
  • Author
"Maybe," Sora agreed with a small nod. He didn't think that would completely help him though; the visions often came whenever he didn't summon them. He never was trying too hard to get a vision, because they hurt his head and rarely provided clarification. Maybe if he just relaxed his mind a little bit, things would get better.
Kairi offered a small smile of encouragement. "You'll be okay," she told him. She would protect Sora if possible, even if she wasn't that great of a fighter just yet. But she would try her best.
  • Author
Hope you're right, Sora silently thought, though he didn't let that thought be heard. He instead leaned forward and gave Kairi a kiss on her forehead. They'd keep looking for their answers, together. He would need her support in order to beat this problem, and Xemnas in the end. He hoped it ended positively, he really did. But his confidence wasn't so great after the Xemnas incident.
Kairi closed her eyes at the gesture, lifting a hand to set on Sora's chest naturally. She felt the armor he still wore, and she wondered if he would take it off now. There was no need for it anymore, and no secrets between them.
  • Author
Sora pulled back from the kiss, opening his eyes and seeing Kairi then. He felt a small smile tug at his lips because of her expression. "We should get going," he said softly. They had to do something other than just stand around. They may not have been together with the rest of the group, but they were working for their good.
Kairi opened her eyes, her smile remaining as she nodded. She stepped over, grabbing Sora's helmet and holding it out to him. Did he still want to wear it, or was he done hiding his face from the world? A scar was nothing to be ashamed of; it proved he was strong and survived a tough ordeal. It proved he was a warrior.
  • Author
Sora looked down at the helmet, and he did take it from Kairi's grasp and put it back on over his head. They were going to leave this world, so of course he would want to be wearing his armor while they were in the Lanes Between. He motioned for Kairi to come with him as he started walking forward, down the path further so that they could take off from there. It was time to get down to business.

Realm of Darkness

Riku felt nothing but the cold, hard ground underneath him, his face pressed against the white dirt that made up the paths in the Realm of Darkness. He grunted slightly before pushing himself up onto his hands and knees, able to see through his blindfold that they were in a place he despised. And it was no place for the person who was just in front of him. "...Light?" Riku called softly, setting a hand on her shoulder. He remembered then that Ansem sent them here, and started the timer on Lightning's arm again. She still had the curse.

  • Author
Light thought she heard a voice call out to her, but she was still unconscious from being sent to the Realm of Darkness. She never did have a great defense against the Darkness; it didn't invade and take over her heart, but it did make her weak. Weakness was the last thing that she could afford to be right now, when her time was running out.
Riku grunted slightly, lifting one leg and setting a foot on the floor. He knew he would have to carry Light, which would be no problem, but he would have to find a way out of the Realm in order to complete her mission. He moved over next to her and grabbed her injured arm, gently bringing her up so she was on his back. He then stood, aware that he would have to be the one to find an exit; Light was too weak.
  • Author
Lightning winced when Riku grabbed her arm where she was wounded, the pain snapping her out of her unconsciousness more quickly. She felt her face against Riku's hair as she was on his back, the warmth of his body contrasting the cool air of the Realm of Darkness. Feeling the warmth made her want to stay knocked out and let Riku handle things, but the soldier in her wouldn't let her do nothing. She had to wake up, to break the curse.
