Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku moved his hands to sit under Lightning's thighs, his grip on her more secure this way. He then started walking, Lightning's arms over his shoulders. It was then that he noticed the scratches...which were bound to become infected. Riku's footing faulted as memories of Namine's sickness came back to him, and he knew he couldn't have the same happening to the person he loved. He moved over to a rock that was the height of his waist, gently setting Lightning down before he turned around, moving an arm to be around Lightning's back. His other hand focused on her arm, gently touching the scratches as he began to heal them, a green light radiating from his palm and onto her arm.

Light's head was dipped forward as she sat on the rock, her face against Riku's chest as he stood right in front of her. She felt his gentle hand on her arm, and while it burned at first, she felt the wounds fade away due to a curing spell. The spell didn't help with her strength though; that was something that she needed to gather on her own. She lifted the hand of her other arm and set it on Riku's chest, showing that she was awake. She just needed a minute to compose herself.
Riku glanced down at Lightning briefly before he continued to focus on the spell. In seconds it was completely healed over, and he hoped that kept her from catching the illness that Namine had a few years back. Once he was done he moved that hand to Lightning's hair, brushing it back behind her ear. She was okay...for now. He had to get her out of here.

Lightning felt Riku's sweet gesture, and that encouraged her to stay still for a few more moments. She felt so weak here, it was disgusting. She would never get over that feeling. She slowly opened her eyes, seeing Riku's chest right in front of her since her forehead was against it. She wished she could stay this close to him, and that the circumstances for being like this were different. But this was reality; she wouldn't lie to herself and say that it wasn't.
"C'mon," Riku started softly, his hand moving to Light's shoulder. "I'll get you out of here." He doubted she could walk, since she looked so weak, so he would carry her like a few moments ago. He would find a way out and set things right.

Light's hand curled around the fabric of Riku's shirt, the young woman lifting her head out of his chest and looking up at him. "I can walk," she said softly. She had to be able to walk. The Realm of Darkness was an extremely dangerous place, so they needed to be ready for a fight at any time. No way could they afford for them both to be defenseless because Riku was too busy carrying her.
"You're sure?" Riku checked, tilting his head slightly as he looked at Light. He didn't want her pushing herself; they couldn't have her collapsing here. The consequences would be severe.

"Yeah," Lightning said with a small nod. It's not a matter of 'can' or 'can't'. There are some things in life you just do. Like digging down deep and finding the strength to keep moving, even when she felt like she had no power left within her. As long as she had a reason to fight, she'd always find that strength deep within.
"Mm," Riku hummed with a nod. Okay. He released her slowly, backing up so she could hop down from her seat. They needed to get out of this Realm and into the Light before Claire's time ran out. And Riku wasn't about to let that happen; he couldn't lose her.

Lightning released Riku's shirt when he stepped away, setting it along with her other hand on the rock on either side of her. She got down off the rock and locked her knees so they wouldn't give out on her, the young woman turning to the side so one hand still sat on the rock to keep her steady. She locked her jaw as she glared at the ground, hating this feeling of weakness. They had no time for this. She could see the clock ticking down on her arm.
Riku put a hand on Light's shoulder to show his support, though he let his sight roam over the area around them. He couldn't summon portals anymore, since he rejected the Darkness recently. That kept them here just a little longer, unfortunately.

Light steadied herself, looking over at Riku when his hand was on her shoulder. That was when she noticed him surveying the area. "Any clue how to get out of here?" she asked quietly, looking at his face. She hoped that he said "yes", obviously, but she wouldn't be surprised if he had no idea how to leave. She was clueless too.
"Our only option is to walk, I'm afraid," Riku admitted lowly, frowning. He couldn't summon portals anymore, which meant they had to travel on foot. He was sure Ansem knew that bit of information, which was why he sent them here in the first place. Riku squeezed Lightning's shoulder before releasing her, beginning down the path. "Let's go."

Light released the rock and started after Riku, about two steps behind him. Walking would definitely eat up a lot of the time. She looked down at her arm as she walked, seeing another minute tick away. They must have been unconscious for about two hours, because that time was gone now, according to the clock. She had to admit, she was nervous at the time they already spent. Last time she was minutes away from perishing. Even a few minutes made a difference. But two hours? That was a bigger difference.
Riku and Lightning walked in silence for quite some time, taking winding paths through the Darkness, and occasionally having to fight off a horde of Heartless. He did his best to handle a majority of the fights, considering he was stronger than Lightning in this Realm, but she--as stubborn as ever--insisted he didn't take more than he could handle. Regardless, they walked now, with Riku in front as he glanced around, using all of his senses to try and detect any threats.

Lightning took one step onto higher ground when she heard a noise behind her. Heartless were rising out of the ground. In frustration, she swore under her breath. "Again?" These Heartless just weren't taking the hint; she and Riku wouldn't be defeated. But they were managing to slow them down. Another half hour was wasted because of them being nuisances.
Riku grunted, getting into his stance and summoning his Keyblade when he saw Heartless in front of them as well. Hello to you too, he thought sarcastically, gritting his teeth. He then let out a cry, shooting Dark Aura at the beasts before closing in on them with his sword.

Light ran down to meet the shadows, sick of fighting down on their level. They were pests, not a real threat. They could scratch them up quite a bit, sure, but it would be a sad day when Shadows could kill a trained warrior like her or Riku. She cast a magic spell, shooting out fireballs from her hand while also calling upon lightning bolts to rain down from the sky. Multi-casting took more energy, but they couldn't afford to hold back when time was running out.
Riku used his teleportation ability to sneak up behind Heartless and defeat them with quick swings of his sword. It didn't take long before the Heartless were gone, the boy exhaling a heavy breath before turning to Lightning. "Let's move," he suggested. They needed to find a way out of here, quickly.

Lightning had her back to Riku as she slipped her weapon back into her bag. "Right," she said at the same time, lifting a hand to her chest as it formed a fist. But...she felt weakness coming on, and it wasn't just because of the Darkness in the air. She was pushing herself too hard in all the fights, especially this last one. She was spent.
Riku sensed Lightning wasn't moving, and behind his blindfold, he could scarcely see that. He waited, knowing that they had to go at her pace, even if there wasn't much time to waste. He couldn't rush her, or she would just slow down more.

Light shook her head, starting to turn around so that they could get a move on. But even that small movement was too much. She took a knee, wincing as her arm came to rest on the leg that was still up. She couldn't keep pressing on like this; it was taking too much energy. She was lucky she was even able to fight when she was in this condition.
Riku grunted slightly before running to Lightning's side, kneeling down before her and putting a hand to her shoulder. He knew that she needed to rest, this Realm making her weak, but... "We don't have much time," he voiced softly, his voice gentle and almost sad with her. He would carry her if he had to, but they needed to get a move on.

Light kept her head lowered, eyes shut halfway. "I know," she said, voice showing strain. She just wanted her body to do what she was telling it to do! There was no time to sit around like this, but she couldn't move. The circumstances were completely set against her here: she had been running around for two days on an hour of sleep, slept a few hours in a light state, and now she was here, weakened by this realm. She wasn't making excuses; it was the truth of the matter.
Riku could see that Lightning was frustrated, so he quit encouraging her to get back on her feet. "...C'mon, I'll give you a lift," he said, rising to his feet. At least for a little while so she could gain her strength. If Heartless showed up, he'd teleport right past them. It worked easiest that way.
