Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku strode away from the monster, glancing at it briefly as he gripped Lightning's hand. He traveled in the direction the mysterious figure had, which just so happened to be the way he had been going before. He was grateful for the help, and he would say as much as soon as the time was right. Now he and Light just needed to leave the area.

The man led them away from the beast, knowing that their time was probably short. The ray that he invented was a powerful one, but so was the beast that it froze. He'd be free of it soon enough. When they were a good distance away, the man stopped and turned to the young man he once knew and the girl that was a stranger to him. He was glad to see Riku again, despite the circumstances.

Riku walked forward a few steps before stopping, never releasing Lightning's hand. His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he gazed at the cloaked figure before him, having thought he recognized the voice only moments ago. "...Who are you?" he asked lowly, cautious. It was hard to trust anyone in the Realm of Darkness.

"An old friend," the man responded, setting down his device on the ground. He lifted his hands and removed his hood, revealing his blond hair and amber colored eyes. He knew it was an uncommon color for those who were not consumed with Darkness, but that was their natural hue. He was Ansem. Ansem the Wise.

Riku's lips parted in surprise, the young man not expecting it to be someone he sided with so long ago. "...Ansem the Wise," he declared at that moment. Known by another name, DiZ. It had been years since Riku saw him last, and that had been when he used the encoder to erase the Organization's Kingdom Hearts. He disappeared into the Realm of Darkness and had lingered here all that time?

Ansem the Wise couldn't help but smile faintly at Riku's stunned expression. "It's nice to see you again, Riku, despite the circumstances," he said to the Keyblade wielder. They were allies in the past, when he went by the name DiZ and was fueled by lust for revenge. He was a changed man now, but he still yearned to set things right. He knew Xehanort was still alive.

Riku nodded slightly, his lips turning up ever so slightly. "You too, sir," he acknowledged softly. He then motioned to the person at his side. "This is Lightning." At least they weren't alone in the Darkness and had an ally. Maybe Ansem the Wise could be of some critical help.

"Hello Lightning," Ansem the Wise said, extending a hand and shaking that of Lightning. Judging by how Riku held onto Lightning's hand, he assumed that the two of them were a couple. He had to admit, he was a little surprised; the Riku that he knew wouldn't be in a relationship with just anybody. Still, there was no time for small talk. "What brings you two to the Realm of Darkness?"

"Xehanort's Heartless," Riku stated, his smile gone at the topic. "He wasn't pleased with my refusal for the Darkness, so he placed a curse on Lightning and trapped us here." They had no way out so far. Hopefully that would change soon; they were running out of time.

Ansem frowned, looking down at the numbers on Lightning's arm. "I see," he said, eyebrows furrowing. "I take it things aren't going well in the Realm of Light." He looked up and saw Lightning shake her head at that, which he wasn't surprised by. If Xehanort and his Heartless were running amuck, things couldn't possibly be okay. And there was the matter of Riku's blindfold.

"We're looking for a way out, but we've come up empty," Riku explained, expression and tone grim. He tightened his hold on Lightning's hand subconsciously, afraid of losing her to some stupid curse. They had to defeat the villains in less than two days now, which wasn't exactly great. It really seemed impossible, but he wasn't about to give up. He couldn't.

"There could possibly be an exit up ahead," Ansem said, motioning in the direction they had been heading. There was nothing behind them as far as he knew. "But it's simply a guess. I do not know any exits." This was just an area that he was unfamiliar with, as it was constantly changing. When they reached the area up ahead, they would see why. Worlds that were "dead" to the Realm of Light were mirrored here.

Riku absorbed the information, turning his head to face Light. "We might as well take a look," he suggested with a small shrug. It couldn't hurt the lack of progress they had made so far anyway.

Lightning nodded to Riku, agreeing. At this point, they didn't have much to lose, except more time. But time was everything.

"Would you mind if I joined you?" Ansem asked the pair, bending down and picking up his device. He wanted to leave the Realm of Darkness as well, so that he could right the wrongs that he committed in his life. He couldn't do it without Riku and Lightning's assistance in helping him leave.

Riku shrugged again, facing Ansem the Wise now. "I don't see why not," he answered simply. If Ansem was going to help them, they could return the favor. Riku started forward then, stepping past Ansem and down the path. They couldn't waste any more time.

Lightning started forward with Riku, still holding onto his hand. Behind them, Ansem followed. This area looked different somehow to the rest of the Realm of Darkness; it held a different vibe. She wasn't sure if she liked it. But then again, nothing was likable in this Realm. It was all nasty.
A few minutes passed before Riku started to notice a difference in their surroundings. Behind his blindfold, his eyes narrowed as he noticed an object glowing up ahead, and he walked with Lightning to the ledge of one of the cliffs in the area. A grunt left his throat when he realized it wasn't an object... It was a world.

When Riku and Lightning stopped at the edge of the cliff, Ansem the Wise stepped up so that he was next to Lightning. He could tell by Riku's grunt that now would be a good time to explain. "I've discovered that this place shows the 'dead' worlds from the Realm of Light," he explained, looking at the strange world before him. "Some worlds appear here when they are immersed in Darkness, but that isn't the only reason." After a few moments of silence, he looked over to the side and saw Lightning's expression. That was when he realized something. "You know this world." It was written all over her face.

Lightning nodded silently, her eyes on the world that was glowing with a faint blue aura. She knew this world, better than she knew any other world that existed. It was her world. Cocoon. And it was dead because of what The Maker caused through people like Carson...

I knew it, Riku thought grimly, frowning as he gazed at the world in the distance. "Is there any chance it can return to the Realm of Light?" he asked Ansem, hoping he had that answer. If it did, Riku knew Light would do anything and everything to help it return to where it rightfully belonged, and Riku would try as well. It was her true home, after all.

"If it is only succumbed by Darkness," Ansem the Wise said, shifting his gaze to the world once more. "But if it was destroyed in some other way, I doubt it." He couldn't tell for certain, but it looked to him like this world was damaged. There was a crack in the outer shell of it, and it was supported by some type of crystal tower. Or rather, that was what it looked like. In reality, the world was floating in this realm.

Riku didn't say anything after that, fearing the expression that Lightning wore; he refused to look at her, afraid to see sorrow. She wasn't meant to express that emotion, but he couldn't stop her. This was her home, and it had fallen. If it couldn't return to its true Realm, it was stuck here...forever.

Lightning stared at the world, her hand no longer gripping Riku's back as she gazed at Cocoon. So it was truly gone then. But it's just a world. I know a lot of people died, but...There's still hope with those who survived. She shook her head. Now's no time to think about that anyway. "We need to get in there," she said, her voice low and tone unreadable even to her. She knew that world would be the key to them leaving this Realm.
Riku released Lightning's hand, lifting it to his blindfold, which he raised above one eye. He got a clearer view of the world this way, and he saw the crack in its outer shell. "...You sure about this?" he asked, aware that this could trigger some ugly memories for Lightning. He didn't want her to suffer.

Light nodded without looking over at Riku. "There should be a way out in there." The wheels in her head were turning, connecting the dots. There was a gate in Eden that led to Orphan's Cradle, and in Orphan's Cradle, there was a gate that led to Gran Pulse. If they followed that path, then they would be able to return to the Realm of Light. It was their only option, whether she liked it or not.
Riku glanced over at Lightning, seeing her clearly for the first time in days. He studied her for a moment before lowering his blindfold once more. "After you," he said, waving an arm in that direction. He would let her lead; she knew Cocoon best, after all.
