Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning looked over at Riku. "We'll need to fly," she stated, pointing out the obvious. Cocoon was a ways away still, and there was no walking path. They'd have to ride on his glider together. But what would Ansem the Wise do?
Riku looked from Lightning to the area a couple miles off. The Darkness must have still been messing with his head; he wasn't thinking clearly. "Right," he said with a small nod, then turning his attention to Ansem. "Can you still use portals?" he asked. If that were possible for Ansem, perhaps he could meet them there. For right now, Riku and Light would fly. Riku wouldn't risk Lightning becoming any weaker by traveling through one of the Corridors.

"No," Ansem said, faintly shaking his head. "But go ahead. I'll catch up." He could work on his machine to create some way to reach that world. He just needed a bit more time, and he wouldn't hold Riku and Lightning back while he did that. Clearly they were in a rush.

Riku nodded slightly before summoning his Keyblade to his hand. He chucked it out in front of him, his glider appearing in a brief flash of light as it float just beyond the cliff. He ran forward and leaped with a grunt, landing smoothly on it and holding onto the steering. He glanced to the side at Lightning, waiting for her to join him.

Lightning took a small step back before she ran forward, jumping onto the back of Riku's glider. She sat down behind him, her arms wrapping around his torso in silence. She didn't like that they were flying to Cocoon, but they had no other options. It was either fly there or rot in the Realm of Darkness. If she was going to die, it wouldn't be in this Realm. She'd make sure of that.
Riku turned his glider as he sped off, leaving Ansem the Wise behind as he and Lightning flew towards Cocoon. He wasn't sure what to expect from the world, but considering it was in the Realm of Darkness, it couldn't be good. He just hoped Lightning could handle it.

Lightning and Riku flew into the world through the hole in its shell, which had been there during her whole life. And then they went for the city in the sky: Eden. The two of them walked the path now, the air totally eerie and silent except for their footsteps. There was hardly any color here; everything was dull. The only thing that stood out to Lightning was the ghosts of the people who died here. They were a light blue, and they walked around as if they were living. It was creepy. Depressing. Heartbreaking.
Riku glanced at the spirits that lingered on Cocoon, seeing that some of them were part of the Guardian Corps. He checked on Lightning every few minutes as they walked, making sure that she was okay. He knew this had to be hard for her, but he couldn't imagine the degree of it.

There's Cid Raines, Lightning thought, passing by the figure as they entered Eden Hall. And Rygdea. And... She stopped walking, staring at the figure who was speaking to him. Lieutenant Amador. Even if he hadn't died on this planet, but on the airship that she had been on, his spirit lingered here. Because this was his home. This is where his heart belonged.
Riku walked a few paces ahead before he sensed that she wasn't next to him anymore. He stopped, turning around a little to see that she was gazing at her late Lieutenant. And the look on her face made his soften. Light...

The lieutenant didn't even realize that she was standing there, just like none of the other people took notice of her and Riku. That's fine, Light thought. Better that way... Still, she was standing right by a wall and her grief took advantage of her for a moment. She punched the wall hard before she continued walking in the direction she was going before. No time for emotions to take control; they needed to get out of here.
Riku let Lightning walk by him, his gaze trailing her. He released a small breath before following her, his feet moving at her pace. He was worried about her, but then again, he was concerned for a lot of things. She was most important at this point, though; he could only hope she didn't see anyone that triggered negative emotions out of her.

The two walked through the thinner hall, where more people's spirits lingered. These weren't people that Lightning recognized. It wasn't until they reached the end of the hall and entered a new area that she saw more faces that she recognized. She stopped dead in her tracks, and at that moment, shock and grief appeared in her blue eyes. No... she thought, gazing at the pair who were several yards away from her and speaking to each other silently. Fang and Vanille.
Riku stopped slightly behind Lightning, following her line of sight as he recognized two people from her past, Fang and Vanille. The former was shaking her head at the redhead, rolling her eyes as if amused. They didn't sense his or Lightning's presence, just like the other spirits. In this version of the world, they lingered here in peace, not experiencing any disruptions.

A slight grunt left Light's lips as she walked forward, toward the pair. She knew they wouldn't respond to her, but...She still reached out a hand and tried to touch Vanille to get her attention. Her hand went right through the spirit and her hopes were crushed. Right, she thought, lowering her head and shutting her eyes. You can't recognize me...And you can't come back to life. Cocoon was stuck in this Realm permanently, and so were they. She curled her hand into a fist by her side, her emotions getting the better of her now.
Riku watched Lightning from his place a few yards away, but when he saw her posture, he approached her. He put his hands on her shoulders and gently started turning her away from the spirits of her friends. "Let's go, Light," he spoke softly. She couldn't stay here for two reasons: one, she didn't have the time; two, doing it here would only make it ten times harder.

Light felt Riku turn her, and she remained tense under his hands. She almost told him to back off, but what good would that do them? Staying here and revisiting the past wasn't something that they could afford to do. She opened her eyes partway and kept her gaze on the ground, walking slowly, regretfully, away from two of her closest friends.
Riku walked beside Lightning, one arm extended across her upper back as he continued to hold both of her shoulders. They needed to get through this portion of their journey quickly, and not just to save Lightning's life. Right now, she was being dragged down by the appearances of people from her past. It wasn't something Riku liked to see, which was why he kept her moving.

Orphan caused this, Lightning realized. Orphan was the one who made Cocoon fall off its original stand, and seal the deal for Fang and Vanille. He told her as much the other day when he was torturing her. He was responsible for everyone's death, and now she couldn't even exact justice on him. She swore under her breath, voice weak. He thought he was torturing her the other day, but this was just as bad as the physical torture. If not worse.
Riku heard the small swear, even if it wasn't entirely clear. He rubbed Lightning's shoulder as he guided her through the area, his focus forward as he ignored the spirits that surrounded them. Occasionally they would walk through them, which freaked him out more than he thought it would. He ignored it to the best of his ability, concentrating on getting out of here.

Light kept her gaze down until they reached their destination: the gate that would lead them to Orphan's Cradle. Since Riku's arm was around her shoulders, she was certain that he would come through the portal with her. She wordlessly lifted a hand and activated it, a bright red light surrounding them before it transported them to the new area.
Riku didn't keep walking when on the other side of the portal, his grasp on Lightning loosening when he saw where exactly they were. They were standing on floating platforms, where others whizzed past them every few seconds. "Whoa," he said, surprised by the sight. He hadn't expected this; not that he really knew what to expect in the first place. He had never really been beyond Bodhum.

Lightning walked out from underneath Riku's arm when he remained still. "Orphan's Cradle," she said, giving him the name of the place. "It's a maze. But if we change the paths, it should lead us to the right gate." The gate to Gran Pulse would be available to them; they could return to the Realm of Light. But before altering the maze, it would probably be wise to wait for Ansem.
Riku put his hands on his hips, looking up at the area surrounding them. "...Shouldn't be too hard," he muttered, though it was probably the opposite. He didn't know, but he was trying to adopt some of Sora's optimism for the moment. It was needed.

Light stopped walking, turning around to look at Riku. "Right," she said after a moment. It wouldn't be too hard. The main issue the first time around was facing the Cei'th that got in the way. And there weren't any of those here. But did she see people in the round area up ahead? She wasn't expecting that, at all. She turned around and walked forward again, towards that place.
