Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku noticed Lightning was moving forward and decided it would be wise to follow her. He walked across the floating platform a few feet behind her, trying not to worry about the time. If he did that, he would just get anxious and wouldn't be able to focus correctly. He had to trust Light's judgement here.

Lightning walked to the circular area, blinking when she saw ghosts that were a different hue than the ones on Cocoon. These ones were purple, and she thought she knew them. At least, she knew their names. One was Yuna, another was Tifa, and the other two were Vaan and Laguna. Wait. How the heck do I know them? She never met them before in her life! And what were they doing in a place like this?
Riku kept up with Lightning easily, though he did furrow his eyebrows at the sight of the spirits ahead. They all looked rather friendly, and if he wasn't mistaken, they appeared to be warriors. "Who're they?" he asked from behind, walking a few more steps forward to be beside Lightning. Did she know them?

Lighting lifted a hand to her head, squeezing her eyes shut as she pictured herself socializing with these people. Or rather, her being aloof and them trying to talk to her. "I...don't know," she said, standing a few yards away from all of them. She didn't know who they were at all. She never met them.
Riku shrugged, crossing his arms over his chest. "Hm. Must just be some strays," he figured. They didn't really matter in the end, or so he guessed. If they affected their way out of here, that was a different story. He certainly hoped not; they didn't have time for sidequests.

Yeah. No. Maybe, Lightning thought, her fingers weaving between her pink strands as she gripped her head. These people were so familiar to her, yet she knew for a fact that she didn't know them. Yet she knew Yuna was soft-spoken, Tifa confident, and Laguna and Vaan childish. This made no sense to her already-fried emotions.
Riku glanced over at Lightning, and when he saw her posture, he knew they had to hurry. "No time to dwell on it. We've gotta get out of here," he declared. But where was Ansem? If they went any farther, they might not even meet with him again.

"Need to wait for your friend before starting the maze," Lightning said without moving. Messing with the paths while he wasn't with them was a bad idea; he wouldn't be able to catch up. So they had to wait for him before they made any further progress. Hopefully he would join them soon enough.
Riku kept his arms crossed, not saying a word in response because Light was right. If Ansem showed up, they could move on. Until then, they lingered here, with stray ghosts and flying platforms. He never did get to see this side of Cocoon, and he was kind of upset about it. He missed some interesting stuff.

Light opened her eyes after a few moments, looking up and seeing that the ghosts were gone. Weird. But I'm not complaining. "Tch," she grunted, starting to pace as she lowered her hand from her head. Time was running out, and now she was feeling trapped. But they had to wait for Ansem. He understood they were in a rush, so he'd show up soon.
Riku glanced over at Lightning after a moment before taking a few steps forward, lowereing himself to the ground to sit down. If they were going to wait for Ansem, they might as well make it a comfortable session. He sat down with one knee drawn, his arm propped up on that leg. He watched Lightning in silence, thinking of how much he missed her while he was in Darkness. If only the circumstances were different, then he could really cherish her.

Lightning kept pacing even if Riku was sitting down, paying no heed to him. She couldn't sit still right now. Or so she thought. After a few minutes of pacing, she realized that her feet were dragging from her exhaustion and weakness. She needed to find some patience and relax or she was going to wear herself out again.
Riku watched Lightning for a few minutes, and when he knew that she was being too anxious, he called to her. "Light," he said softly. She needed to rest for a bit; she'd been on her feet for more than a few days without any rest.

Lightning grunted her response, stopping her pacing and looking over at Riku leaning against the center of the area. Even without seeing his eyes, she knew what he was thinking: he thought that she needed to sit down and rest for a while, and he was right. She had been running on adrenaline since Red Eyes, and it was wearing off now.
Riku lifted his hand and lightly waved Lightning over. Regardless of any refusals, he would make her sit down for at least a few minutes. She'd collapse soon if she didn't, and that was the last thing they needed right now.

Light glanced at the ground briefly before she did as Riku said. She walked over and sat down beside him, knees pulled up a little bit. She was really worn down, physically and emotionally. And the ticking clock on her arm wasn't helping anything. She was always running on limited time, whether she was a l'cie or had the Doom curse. Time was always the enemy.
Riku looked over at the person beside him, and he nudged her lightly with his shoulder. He wanted to cheer her up somehow, but he just couldn't imagine how. It was upsetting, to say the least. He was supposed to protect her too, and so far he wasn't doing his job. Riku felt like he was failing. Badly.

Light glanced over at Riku at the nudge, her eyes confused at first as to why he did that. But then she realized it was because he thought she was depressed. And she was. She lifted her hand and cupped the side of Riku's face, gazing at him for a moment before she scooted closer and leaned the side of her head against his cheek. She shut her eyes in silence, hoping that she'd have a lot more moments like this with Riku in the future.
It was hard for Riku not to smile, and he gave in to the action immediately. Lately he and Lightning lacked the more intimate and affectionate moments. He could only pray there would be more in the future. But instead of waiting for that wish to come true, he was going to try and make it happen. He had to, or he was going to lose her...

Light's hand slipped off Riku's cheek after a few moments, and she also felt her body slumping against Riku's as exhaustion made itself more apparent. Still, she fought falling asleep. Ansem could show up at any minute; she couldn't afford to fall asleep right now when they would be on the move really soon...
Riku turned his head toward Lightning a little more, placing a light kiss on the top of her pink hair. "Relax," he whispered, sensing that she was struggling with her exhaustion. With the blindfold on, he relied heavily on his other senses, touch being one of them; he could sense she was stiff, and the result of that was lack of sleep and fighting it repeatedly. He would look out for her; she had nothing to worry about.

Light grunted again, both at the kiss and the words. She knew what Riku was saying; he was telling her to go to sleep. Or at least rest, because what she was doing now wasn't resting. It was resisting. Her shoulders slumped in defeat, the soldier resting her weary body against Riku's side as her eyes remained shut. Alright. Time to rest up.
Riku smiled faintly before relaxing himself, letting his senses take in the situation and area around him. He didn't sense any threats at the moment, which was good; it meant Light would get some peaceful rest, and he would be able to ponder their options, however slim they were.

Within a few minutes, Lightning fell asleep on Riku. She knew that she could always trust him to be on the lookout for threats, and even if she didn't trust him, her exhaustion was too great for her to ignore. She would rest for a little while, then they would head out to fight their battles.
Riku watched platforms fly by as he allowed Lightning to rest against him, time passing slowly. He supposed that was a good thing, considering they had a time limit in the first place. But where was Ansem? He certainly couldn't be this held up.
