Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light winced in her sleep, expression pained and sad. Her dream was more like a weird vision, showing things that she never experienced. Enemies that she never even faced. One was named Chaos. Another named Cauis. Her dreams of Chaos faded to dreams of Cauis, who carried a large sword and had red eyes whenever he cast a spell. A demon. What the...?
Riku turned his head toward Lightning when he sensed her discomfort, his eyes finding her through his blindfold. It was obvious that she was still unconscious, but she wasn't comfortable. Nightmare? he wondered silently, eyebrows furrowing.

Flashes of different situations appeared before the sleeping soldier's eyes, showing a deserted world with high towers and monsters everywhere. But then Lightning's mind flashed to another situation, one that dragged her to that world in the first place. The Darkness gripping her, strangling her and dragging her away from her loved ones to a world where she was a soldier full time. A knight.
Riku figured that had to be it, and it actually surprised him, since Lightning didn't have nightmares that often. How could he make her feel better, though? It was all he wanted to do, to help her get a peaceful sleep. Riku knew then that the solution was right in front of his eyes, literally. He slowly lifted his arms to untie the fabric around his eyes, removing it. His eyes, which were normally aquamarine beneath the blindfold, were now gold as he turned his gaze to the person beside him. Maybe the blindfold would help keep the nightmares away.

Since when have I been a soldier for hire? Light thought, grunting in her sleep. I'm nobody's pet; I live my life without going by somebody else's commands. She "served" Anima in the past when it made her a l'cie, but... Another image flashed before her mind, a goddess of harmony named Cosmos. She served her too. But she didn't. She couldn't have! And she wouldn't have. She was nobody's slave.
Riku carefully lowered the blindfold to Lightning's eyes, tying it lightly behind her head to keep it there. "I hope this helps," he whispered softly, then draping his arm around her shoulders. He didn't want her to suffer with what little rest she had. Hopefully the blindfold would keep the Darkness away, like it did for him.

The visions disappeared when Riku's blindfold covered her eyes, shielding her from the Darkness that was giving her the visions. Light's shoulders slumped as well, her sleep turning into a dreamless, more peaceful one. It was all gone now, whatever those things were. They couldn't haunt her now.
Riku's gold eyes adjusted to the light around him as he gazed at the person he loved, letting his fingers rub gently at her upper arm before he focused on their surroundings. He couldn't help but wonder where Ansem was. Did he run into trouble on the way here? Or was he not coming at all?

Ansem saw the two people up ahead as he entered the area, seeing the one asleep and the other awake and gazing at her. The man walked over to one of the poles a few yards away and leaned against it, wincing at the wounds that he received earlier. He made it, finally. Heartless had slowed him down while he was working on his machine.

Riku let his gold eyes find the person who had just entered the area. "You made it," he said to Ansem. It hadn't been too long, but it was long enough. At least Lightning got about an hour of rest.

Ansem nodded faintly. "Sorry," he said, wrapping an arm around his wounded waist. "Heartless hindered me." He leaned his back against the pole, shutting his eyes briefly at the pain. He didn't have any potions or magic, so he would have to cope for a little while until they reached the Realm of Light. They had to be closer by now.

"I figured as much," Riku admitted with a small nod. He looked at Ansem for a moment before returning his gaze to the person beside him, his arm pulling her a little closer as to keep her warm and protected. He would show Xehanort's Heartless a piece of him once they got out of here, simply because he reactivated that curse.

Ansem smiled faintly at Riku and Lightning, seeing how he cared for her. The fact that he took off the blindfold for her proved just how much he cared. "You've changed since I've last seen you," he commented softly. "Seeing how you care about this one girl, I know you've grown up into a fine young man." He was strong, determined, and caring towards his friends. Ansem always knew he cared, but now, he was displaying it for the world to see.

Riku smiled faintly before looking up at Ansem. "You didn't expect me to be heartless forever, did you?" he asked with a small lift of his eyebrow. At one point, and for quite a while, he only cared about himself, pushing Sora away and giving in to the Darkness. He wasn't going to do that anymore, especially since he had someone to take care of.

"I never viewed you to be heartless in the first place," Ansem the Wise replied with the same small smile. "You were a much better person than I." He spent so many years of his life lusting after revenge. Riku did give into the Darkness for a while and fight his best friend, but he came to his senses quickly compared to Ansem the Wise. Riku was the wise one, in his view.

Riku's small smile was washed away at the words, and he looked at his shoes as he rested. "We all make mistakes," he said, defending both himself and Ansem. He learned from his, and he was sure Ansem did too. It was just how life was.

"Indeed we do," Ansem said, shifting his gaze to the ground. "But we're both fixing our wrongs." He was going to fix his when he got to the Realm of Light. He would put an end to the evil that he created by fueling Xehanort's passion for the hearts of people. It was his destiny to have a part in Xehanort's downfall.

Riku let the silence set in after that, and for a moment, he gazed at Lightning. But then he lifted his gaze to spot Ansem. For the first time, he actually paid attention to his position, and how he was holding his waist. "You're wounded..." he said. The Heartless obviously didn't go easy on him.

"They're fairly minor," Ansem the Wise said, shrugging faintly and looking back at Riku. "If I have a minute to rest, I'll be able to continue." He slowly lowered himself to the ground, cautious because of the wounds. He was okay though; he may have been older, but he could cope with a few wounds.

Riku nodded slightly, realizing that rest was a key ingredient to their success here. Lightning needed it to go on, and so did Ansem. Time was important, but they would only be slowed down if they were exhausted and pushing themselves. Maybe a little bit more of a break wouldn't be so bad.

Light remained asleep on Riku's shoulder, the blindfold still shielding her from any nasty dreams. It also forced her to stay in a deeper sleep, blocking her thoughts of needing to continue and moving quickly. It gave her peace.

Riku found himself dozing off after a while, his lack of sleep also catching up to him, but it was when he sensed a strong Darkness that he woke up. He opened his gold eyes, which widened upon seeing a sword suddenly pointed at his throat. He grunted, lifting his gaze to see a man with purple hair standing before him, who looked far from enthused.

"To your feet," Caius ordered. "Now." He kept his sword pointed at the young man who was holding onto the legendary Lightning. He smirked slightly at the sight of her. Whoever the boy was, he wouldn't be with her for long.

Riku ground his teeth together, his jaw flexing as he moved. "Lightning," he hissed, keeping his eyes on the person who threatened them, shaking her briefly. She needed to wake up, right now.

Lightning was woken up by the shaking, and when she opened her eyes, she had to blink in surprise because everything was dimmed. She was wearing a blindfold? Regardless, she looked in front of her and Riku and saw the reason that he woke her up. A man standing in front of them, with a huge sword pointed at them. But it wasn't just any man; it was the man who appeared in her dreams. Who was he, again?

Riku rose to his feet, clinging to Lightning's arm and pulling her with him, even if she wasn't ready. This was no time for drowsiness; they were clearly being threatened, and he didn't like how the blade was only centimeters from his chin.

"Don't speak," Caius ordered to the silver-haired young man, having seen him open his mouth to release words. It wasn't allowed, not right now. "I want nothing to do with you, but if you stand in my way, I won't hesitate having you pay the price in blood."

Riku's eyes turned icy at that, his eyes narrowing as he gritted his teeth. He wanted nothing more than to summon his Keyblade and take down this punk, but he had a feeling he wouldn't be strong enough. And that was what was most unsettling.

Lightning noticed that the order was directed at Riku, and she was balanced on her own two feet after a moment because of Riku holding onto her. Since she specifically wasn't ordered to stay silent, she spoke. "Who are you?" she asked, looking through the blindfold at the man who wore dark purple and black armor and had light purple hair. And why were you in my dreams?
