Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning kept struggling, though she was quickly nearing the entrance to the Historia Crux. In desperation, she prayed for a way out of this. Etro! Help me! She never served the goddess, yet the goddess still answered her prayer. A bright light surrounded Lightning at that moment, a light bright enough that it enveloped all of Orphan's Cradle.
Riku skidded to a halt on one of the platforms, bringing his hands up to cover his face from the light. All sounds seemed to be cut off at that moment, leaving nothing but silence and a blinding white light.

The bright light that originally came from Lightning faded away, leaving the area look exactly as it had before. Sort of. Lightning now had on a new outfit and held a different sword in her hand. And the Historia Crux was completely gone. Free from the chains of Darkness and momentarily unconscious from the transformation, Lightning fell headfirst deeper into Orphan's Cradle. The air whipping her hair against her face was what snapped her out of it, and her eyes widened as she woke up. She was falling! She then used an ability that she didn't even know that she had. A crystal appeared in front of her chest and she threw it up into the air, shooting at it with her new weapon. Bahamut, Fang's Eidolon, was summoned to the scene. He flew beneath her and caught her, saving her.
Caius lowered his hand when the light faded, his blade still in his grasp as he looked around for the Guardian of Etro. She never went down easy, so he knew she was here somewhere. "Lightning!" he called, though he did it at the same time as someone else. Turning around abruptly, he noticed that Riku was back, donning a blindfold.

Lightning grunted, gripping Bahamut's back as the monster flew straight up by the platform that Caius was on. As soon as Bahamut was right there, Lightning jumped off the beast and swung her sword at Caius with a mighty battle cry. She wasn't giving in to his desires that easily; she would still fight back.
The cry caught Caius's attention, but too late. He grunted roughly as he was forced to another platform, sliding along his back and coming dangerously close to the edge. He gritted his teeth and pushed himself to his feet, holding his weapon at his side. "This is the warrior I remember," he declared.

Lightning jumped off of her platform towards Caius's, unaware that Riku was back in this dimension. Using yet another power she didn't know she had, she opened her free hand and shot off balls of Light towards her enemy. When Etro gave her the armor just now, she must have also blessed her with new abilities to utilize.
Riku could only watch the battle from the sidelines, pay special attention to Lightning. Her armor...and her abilities. What happened just now? And what had been about to swallow her moments ago?

Lightning landed on the same platform as Caius, panting a breath. She heard the metal of her armor hit the ground when she landed, and that caused her to look down briefly and see her outfit. Silver armor with gold outlinings and designs with a black shirt underneath the breastplate. She looked just like she had in her dreams, when she was a "guardian" to Etro. And by "guardian", she meant slave.
"The goddess has blessed you," Caius commented with a smirk, though he was hardly serious. "Let's see what those powers of yours can do." He ran his hand over the eye of his blade once more before releasing a wave of blue energy towards Lightning. He would test her strength; at the moment, she didn't seem fit enough to battle him just yet.

Lightning's eyes widened, and she lifted her shield to deflect the attack. She grunted as her feet slid back, but she stood her ground. Still, what was this power that Caius held? She had never seen anything like it before in her life. And she wasn't sure if she would want to see it again; it was too much power for one man to hold.
Caius closed in immediately, swinging his blade at Lightning repeatedly. He would win this fight between them, and send her away to gain more strength. He would be back to conquer her true form in due time. And time was always on his side.

Lightning managed to block every swing of Caius's sword, though the last one sent her flying. She grunted when she landed on another platform and slid off the edge. At the last moment, she lifted her hand and grabbed onto the edge. She wasn't about to fall to her death. She didn't even know how she summoned Bahamut; it just happened. She didn't want to press her luck and trust these new abilities when she didn't know how to use them.
Caius took his time making his way toward Lightning's platform, stopping near her hand and looking down at her. He smirked darkly. "Pathetic," he spat. "This isn't the guardian I'm meant to fight. You're free to go. Gain your strength, and then we'll fight again. Unlike you, time is a dear friend of mine." He then turned, disappearing in a cloud of darkness.

Lightning grunted, both at the words and his sudden disappearance. Just like that? She swung a little bit as she held onto the ledge with one hand, her sword in her other. Until it suddenly vanished when she willed it away. It was that easy to summon away a sword? Still, she used that hand and started pulling herself up, her torso on the narrow strip. Caius was truly gone.
Riku ran forward when the threat was gone, leaping a large gap with a grunt as he stopped on Lightning's platform. "Hey," he said, kneeling down next to her and offering a hand. "You okay?" What just happened? He still had no answers.

Light accepted Riku's hand, standing up on the platform in front of him. "I'm okay," she said with a small nod. A little beat up, but it was nothing compared to a lot of the other battles that she faced lately. She was more puzzled than anything else. Caius said that they'd meet again...When she was stronger. And she was always gaining strength, so that moment could come at any time where they met again.
Riku released Lightning's hand, his eyes dancing over her behind his blindfold. Interesting armor, he thought, but he dismissed it. "Ansem's waiting. We should go," he pointed out. They couldn't waste anymore time here; they were right outside the Realm of Light.

Light nodded faintly, her hand falling back down to her side. She looked down at her shield briefly, seeing the design of Etro engraved into it. Etro was the one goddess Lightning ever believed wasn't pulling on the strings of Cocoon and Gran Pulse for her own amusement. But she wasn't quick to trust any Fal'Cie after what happened in her recent history. All of them could rot for all she cared. I'll accept the armor and powers you offered, Etro, but I won't become your guardian, she thought bluntly.
Riku turned around, leaping the gap again as he made his way toward the gate, trusing Lightning to follow. Whoever Caius was, he made Riku uncomfortable, for more reasons than one. He didn't want to see him pester Lightning again, but it was destiny. It would happen again.

Lightning jumped the gap after Riku, glancing down at the armor again as they walked. If she could summon away the sword so easily, she wondered if she could make the armor go away as well. She shut her eyes briefly and inhaled through her nose and a warmth surrounded her. Her armor faded away and her normal attire was back on. Wow. I wonder if that's how Riku and the others feel every time they're released from their armor. The warmth of summoning it away...It was surprisingly pleasant.
Riku glanced over his shoulder to see how close Lightning was, pleased to see her in her normal outfit. He smiled briefly before facing forward, walking through the gate. There was a small light before Gran Pulse was revealed to him, and Ansem was still sitting by the tree, where he left him not too long ago.

Lightning went through the gate as well, the refreshing air of Gran Pulse greeting her. But being back in the Realm of Light reminded her of the task that she still had to do. How much time did she have left? She looked down at her arm to check, but then her eyes widened greatly. "Riku!"
Riku stopped walking, whirling around. "What?" he called, alarmed. What was wrong? His gaze settled on hers, following it to see her looking at her arm. ...Oh no. They were out of time!

There were no numbers on Lightning's arm anymore. If their time had run out, the numbers would have still been there and shown that. "...The curse is removed." Somehow it was removed during her fight with Caius. Was it because of her encounter with him, or did the goddess Etro impart yet another gift on her? It was probably the latter.
