Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The World That Never Was

Namine fought the tears in her eyes as she was led to another room. She couldn't believe this. Roxas had been gone for several days (four to be exact) and he hadn't return. He ran off and left her here with Axel. At least Xemnas wasn't around. Either he didn't notice that Roxas was gone or he didn't care. But just a little while ago, Xemnas gave Axel the order that they had been dreading: He was to kill Namine. Clearly Namine didn't influence Roxas enough for him to come back and be a captive. But...Namine didn't want to give up on life. What was she supposed to do though? If Axel didn't...do what he needed to do, then his wife and daughter would pay the price. She couldn't run.

Roxas sat on the clock tower, hugging his knees as the wind gently shifted his hair. He paid it no mind, glancing over at the spot to his left. Xion used to sit there, but she wouldn't any longer. Over the past couple days, after searching countless worlds for her, he remembered how she died. She vanished right in front of him, turning to crystal before shattering. She was gone...

"Namine...I'm sorry," Axel said weakly, stopping in the middle of the room and facing the girl who stood with her back against the wall. He really, really didn't want to do this! But Lisa, and Elena...They'd die if he didn't do this. As much he loved Namine, he couldn't just let his family die. They were being forced to watch this too; they were standing near the back of the room. Xemnas was a cruel madman.

"I know," Namine whispered, lifting her teary eyes to Axel. She glanced at Elena and Lisa in the back of the room, the little girl clinging to her mother. Seeing them convinced Namine that she couldn't run. If she did, then they'd die at Xemnas's hand. She couldn't be responsible for the deaths of two innocent people.

"Why didn't I realize it sooner?" Roxas asked himself, burying his face in his arms. It would have saved so much grief, and he wouldn't have left Namine all alone. But she was hiding something from him! He didn't want to be around her if she was hiding something vital, and with Axel, it most likely was. But he had mistaken her for Xion! I'm such an idiot.

Namine looked at her friend through moist eyes, wanting to give him a hug goodbye. But she knew it would only make this harder. "Do what you need to do," she whispered, a tear leaking from her eye. After a moment, she saw Axel nod and summon his chakram. It was the end. She took in a shaky breath and lowered her chin a little, hands curling in fists by her sides. Goodbye...

Axel gritted his teeth as he looked at Namine, seeing her as an angel. She was making a sacrifice for the sake of two women that she didn't even know. The worlds would be a much darker place without her. He cried out and threw his chakram at her, his cry coming from his frustration. But his aim was off. Instead of striking her, it pierced the wall above her head. He and Namine realized the same thing at the same time, the blonde opening her eyes and seeing him as he sank down to his knees. "I can't. I can't do it..." He couldn't kill her, even for the sake of his family.

It had been several days and Roxas was already missing the person he loved. But how could she miss him? He left her to fend for herself, something only a jerk would do. He always made mistakes with Namine, and he was wondering if he should get her out of trouble and then leave her be. After all, he mistook his loved one for someone who died a long time ago.

Namine looked right above her head and saw the chakram, realizing just how close to death she came. She started shaking as she slinked down against the wall and started crying. She heard Axel repeating himself, over and over again, saying he was "so sorry". She couldn't believe that he didn't have the guts to save his family. What were they supposed to do now? She looked across the room to see the other two girls, but only Elena was standing there. Lisa had run over and was comforting her daddy. Lisa wasn't where she was supposed to be...Maybe that could be something they could use to protect her. It made zero sense phrased that way, but Namine was starting to get an idea.
...I love her, Roxas reasoned silently, feeling the wind against his cloaked form. He loved Namine, not Xion. And he needed her in order to survive; she was in his life from the beginning, and she helped him when he needed her most. She needed him now, and he was running away. "I'm not a coward," Roxas told himself, lifting his head. He frowned, eyebrows furrowing as he got up to his feet on the Clock Tower. "...And I'm not a betrayer." He would set this right.

Namine wiped at her eyes, shaking her head as she rose to her feet. "Axel," she said softly, voice shaky. "...I think I have an idea." When he looked up at her, she knew he was listening. "What if I ran? And you just told Xemnas that you killed me?"

Axel shook his head. "As soon as Xemnas finds out, he'll..."

"I can stay hidden," Namine said, walking over to her friend on the floor. She knelt down on the side opposite his daughter, putting a hand on his shoulder. Still he shook his head. The plan wasn't going to work. The blonde's gaze went to his daughter. "What if...I ran and your daughter came with me? I mean, she would be out of Xemnas's reach..."

"Namine, that's insane," Axel said softly, shaking his head. But he liked insane. Sort of. He knew Namine had a good heart, but how could she watch out for his daughter?

Roxas summoned his armor to him then, warmth engulfing his form before he summoned his glider. He jumped onto it and took off through a portal, leaving Twilight Town and entering the Lanes Between. "I'm sorry, Namine," he said softly. "I'll make things right...I promise."

"I can use dark portals," Namine said, her voice getting quicker because her idea kept on coming. "I can use magic too. As long as I'm able to make it to a world where my friends are, things will be okay. I'll protect your daughter with my life."

Axel's eyebrows furrowed, his eyes going from Namine to his daughter and then back again. This was the only chance that they had. It was his only option since he couldn't kill Namine. "...Go," he said, looking at the teen. "Go quickly." The three of them rose to their feet as the man gently picked up his daughter and handed her off to Namine. If they were going to pull this off, Namine needed to flee the castle before Xemnas checked on the extermination.

Roxas flew quickly toward The World That Never Was, never expecting that he would actually want to return to that world. But he did, because of Namine. He had to apologize, beg for forgiveness, make it up to her...everything. He had to do his best to fix their relationship, because he was the one who ruined it.

After quick farewells, Namine left with Lisa. They could escape. Soon after they were gone, Axel's wife went back into hiding and he had to face Xemnas. Xemnas believed that he truly did kill Namine, because he was a good liar. But not everything was a facade; he was really torn up about nearly killing her and letting go of his daughter. He hoped they'd be okay. Now he sat on one of the couches, his hood covering his troubled face in shame and sorrow.
Roxas summoned a portal in The World That Never Was, landing on a balcony close to the room he left Namine in last. He sprinted down the halls, still wearing his armor as he skidded around corners. He ran into the room, hollering her name. "Namine!" he called, but there was no answer. He looked around the room through his tinted visor, seeing that she was nowhere to be found. But he did spot his former best friend. "Axel." Where's Namine?
  • Author
Oh no, Axel thought without moving, tense. Roxas came back at a very bad time. It was within the past hour that Namine ran off, or "died" in the eyes of Xemnas. The man was still here, in the room. He assumed that he would tell Roxas of Namine's fate just to tick him off. Xemnas was out of uses for Axel now anyway.

Xemnas saw that the Nobody was in his armor, no doubt returning from his little trip. "Number XIII," he greeted with a sly smile. He could feel the Nobody's glare on him from behind his helmet, which only encouraged him to keep talking. "I'm afraid your companion has been terminated."

"What!?" Roxas cried, taking a step forward. His hands balled into fists, his heart instantly picking up in speed. No... No, he was lying!

Xemnas nodded slowly, motioning to the figure on the couch. "At the hands of Number VIII," he confirmed. "Any issues with the act, take it up with him." He allowed Darkness to swallow him, the leader disappearing from the scene.

Roxas's armor faded solely out of lack of focus, the boy falling to his knees. His cloaked form returned, his eyes softening in fear and sadness. "No..."

Axel stayed still, though he saw Roxas's movements out of the corner of his eye. He was going to listen to him grieve; he couldn't stop him from crying over Namine. If he told him the truth about the matter, Xemnas would hear, and then Namine and Lisa would both be done for. He had to keep his mouth shut.
Roxas shook his head, bringing his hands to rest in his hair. He's lying. She's not dead... She's not dead. Roxas felt his eyes well with tears, a grunt leaving through his gritted teeth as he squeezed his eyes shut. "Namine..." He left her to die.... This was all his fault!
  • Author
I'm sorry, Axel thought silently. But right now, I'm doing what you couldn't. I'm protecting her. When the time was right, Roxas would find out the truth about Namine. If she survived that long. Axel didn't like that he sent her off on her own like that, but it was the only option that they had. It was better than him actually killing her.
Roxas failed to protect her, and she was dead because of him. That was what hurt most. He would never be able to hold her, kiss her, marry her... One tear trickled down Roxas's cheek, dripping off his chin and onto his leather cloak. He released his hair and sucked in a silent breath, lifting his watery eyes to Axel. He killed her... The traitor killed her.
  • Author
Axel thought he sensed Roxas's gaze on him, and that brought along a whole new set of issues. Uh oh. Roxas thought that he killed Namine...So Roxas would return that favor. Axel would have to fight back; he didn't just send his daughter away so that she could live and he could die. But he couldn't fake his own death against Roxas; he wouldn't abandon his wife here. What was he to do?
Roxas slowly got to his feet, a brief clang resounding around the room as he summoned Oathkeeper to his hand. "You traitor!" he hollered. "How could you kill her!? She was your friend!" He chucked Oathkeeper toward Axel with all his might, summoning Oblivion the second it left his hand. He would pay for this!

Axel lifted his hand and summoned his chakram, blocking the Keyblade just in time. I know. She still is my friend. Trust me. But he didn't bother speaking his thoughts aloud. Instead, he rose to his feet and summoned his other weapon to his hand as he turned to face Roxas. But I also know that you won't trust me even if I tell you to. It's time to fight.
"I hate you!" Roxas roared, another tear leaving his eye as he closed in on Axel, sprinting toward him. The love of his life was gone by the hands of someone he used to trust. The luck was awful, but then again, luck was never on Roxas's side. Something bad always happened. Always.
  • Author
I know, Axel thought again. The duel between the two former friends began, and though Axel hated the situation, he fought to the best of his ability. He had to fight for his wife. He wouldn't try to kill Roxas; he would try to convince him to flee, somehow. He didn't want to kill his best friend from the Organization, just like he didn't want to kill Namine. He wasn't capable of doing it.
