Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

As Roxas fought Axel, he didn't see him as his best friend from the past. All Roxas saw was hot, white light, the boy blind with rage. The love of his life was gone...and part of it was because of him. He wouldn't be able to live with himself after this. Now that Namine was gone, he would be too. Roxas chucked Oblivion at Axel first, followed immediately by Oathkeeper. He was going to pay the price for killing Namine.

Axel was knocked back by the attacks, the man throwing his chakrams to try and deflect the Keyblades but completely missing them. Both struck him and sent him flying back into the furniture, but in midair, something slipped out of his coat sleeve and fluttered to the ground between him and Roxas: a picture of him and his family, the two girls that he loved with all his heart.
Roxas was in pursuit of Axel once more, but his steps faltered when he saw something fall to the ground. He stopped right next to it, glancing at it before he bent down to pick it up. Straightening, he realized it was a picture...of Axel, with a woman and a little girl. His eyebrows furrowed as he studied the photograph, not worried about defending himself against Axel.

Axel pushed himself up a little bit as he was on the ground, his hood knocked down by the attack. He was surprised that Roxas didn't rush in and deal the final blow. He wasn't a coward like Axel was. He looked over at Roxas and saw him holding something, the piece of paper that Axel always kept on him and cherished. He grunted at the fact that Roxas held it in his grasp.
With furrowed eyebrows and confused eyes, Roxas lifted his gaze to Axel. "You...have a family?" he asked, all rage gone by pure shock. He never would have guessed Axel to be the type to settle down, but he did...

"A wife and daughter," Axel panted, propped up on one arm as he was on his side. Roxas pieced it together quickly, so there was no point keeping the truth from him now. It was finally time to tell him the truth. "Xemnas got a hold of them and swore he'd kill them if I didn't serve him." And ever since that day, Axel was doing everything Xemnas ordered him to do. Until today, the day where he didn't kill Namine.
Roxas lowered his gaze to the photograph again, staring at it in disbelief. Axel actually had a family... "That's why you took Namine," he confirmed. He took Namine from safety, and then took her from Roxas completely. Axel did it to save his family.

Axel nodded faintly, grunting as he forced himself to stand up. He stumbled and grasped the couch to retain his balance. "I didn't try to hurt her, at all," he said, voice low and thick. "That day I was yelling at her...She found out about my family. I couldn't let her tell you. Xemnas didn't want either of you to know, or you'd have compassion on me..." Nothing would have made Xemnas more happy than to see the three kill each other off.
Roxas smiled bitterly, thinking of the person he loved. "...And Namine did," he concluded. He lifted his gaze to his former friend and flicked the photo across the room toward him, not wanting it anymore. He would never have a family now...because of what Axel did.

Axel caught the picture, grunting roughly at his wounds because of the movement. He slipped the photo back into his sleeve before holding onto the couch again. He nodded to Roxas's statement. "When Xemnas gave me the order, she didn't even try to run," he said softly. "She's too kindhearted; if she ran, she would have blamed herself for the deaths of my family..." She really was a gem, an angel. A true friend.
Roxas didn't say anything, looking away from Axel and down at the ground. Speaking of Namine only brought tears to his eyes again, and he flexed his jaw in aggravation. Namine was killed in order to save Axel's family. He was right, though; she would have blamed herself for the deaths of his wife and child. Her sacrifice wasn't for nothing. "...I just wish I had the chance to say goodbye," he whispered weakly, sad.

Axel blinked, realizing then that he left out an important detail. "You won't have to, hopefully," he responded softly. "She's still alive." She was alive and running away with his daughter. But if Xemnas was watching any of this, he now knew the truth as well. All he could do was hope and pray that Xemnas was ignorant to this. Hopefully he was distracted somehow, or else Namine and Lisa were doomed. And so was Elena.
Roxas blinked, lifting his head. "...What?" he murmured in disbelief. Namine was alive? Axel was lying. He had to be; he led Roxas to believe she was dead all this time. Was it just to protect his family?

"I had to buy her some time," Axel said, grunting as he wrapped an arm around his waist. He shook his head, glaring down at the ground. "I didn't have the guts to kill her, so she fled to make Xemnas believe I did it. ...And she took my daughter along so that she could get somewhere safe." Namine ran away at least an hour ago, so she should have been out of this world. That meant that she was out of Xemnas's reach as long as she laid low.
Roxas could only stare at Axel, though he did run the sleeve of his coat over his eyes to get rid of stray tears. He tried to think of how valid that reasoning could be, after a minute or so, it actually made sense. "...She's safe?" he checked softly. He had to make sure.
  • Author
Axel grunted and nodded. She should have been safe, yes. As long as she could take care of herself like she assured Axel she could, and as long as she stayed away from any of the major villains. She and his daughter were safe for now. But if they didn't turn up in a safe place in a day or two, he would assume the worst.
Roxas felt his knees buckle underneath him, and he had to hold onto a chair next to him to stay standing. A shaky sigh left him in relief. Namine was alive...and safe. He couldn't have been more relieved at the news. But...that meant he fought Axel for nothing. It may have been for good reason moments ago, but now he felt...guilty. He nearly killed Axel when he was just trying to protect his family.

"Get going," Axel said firmly without looking up. "If you find them, protect my daughter for me." He released the couch and started walking away, towards another section of the castle. It was time that he and his wife took their leave. If they didn't, Xemnas would hurt her to get under Axel's skin. He wouldn't allow that to happen.
Roxas turned slightly, reaching a hand out towards the redhead. "Axel! Wait," he called. There was something he had to do before he took off, something he had to say. He didn't treat Axel well, and before he had good reason, but now...he was sorry.
  • Author
We don't have time, Roxas, Axel thought. But instead, he stopped walking and silently glanced over his shoulder at his friend. Whatever he had to say, it was best that he said it quickly. He knew as well as Axel did that time was never on their side. Not with their loved ones.
Roxas gazed at Axel for a moment, eyes serious. "...Thanks," he said. He appreciated Axel sparing Namine's life...and his. He had no reason to do that, and yet he was giving them chances at life again. That...was a true friend, no matter what.

Axel's lips turned up in a small smile at the unexpected comment. Still, he nodded faintly and lifted one of his hands, giving Roxas a casual salute before he turned and went on his way again. He hoped Elena was ready to move. Whether she was prepared to or not, they were going to run. It was the only option they had left.
Roxas smiled slightly, releasing a small "hmph" before he summoned his Keyblade. As one last parting gift... A cure spell washed over Axel as he disappeared down the corridor, a spell that came from Oblivion as Roxas then touched the button on his shoulder guard. It was time he went to find Namine.

Twilight Town

Sora and Kairi were in Roxas's old world, or rather, the real version of it. They were on top of Sunset Hill to take a breather. The two of them ran into a lot of Heartless lately, and Sora's head was pounding because of all the information that he gathered when seeing different types of Heartless. He sat down with a grunt, sitting on the ground and leaning his back and head against the fence as his eyes shut. He was sick of this situation. It looked like it was time to rejoin the group, because he and Kairi had no breakthroughs.

Kairi sat down beside Sora, but instead of sitting, she rested her head in his lap and lay on her back. She looked up at the sky, seeing that it was stuck in warm colors of twilight. She let her fingers play with a few strings of grass next to her, the girl sighing. Today was tiring, but she held her own, and hopefully that was enough to prove to Sora that she was strong enough...at least to battle Heartless and Nobodies.
