Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Xemnas, no!" Sora roared. He did not just pull that move on Kairi! He ran the distance between him and Xemnas, a memory flashing before his eyes. When he was in this position, Riku freed him by using a certain move. And Sora remembered exactly what that move was. He jumped as one of his Keyblades vanished, his hand grasping Xemnas's charged one. He wouldn't be using that move to hurt Kairi anymore.

Xemnas grunted when Sora interfered, his dark smirk vanishing as he frowned. Blasted Keyblader! he thought in frustration, his power being cut off. The energy faded, his hand stuck in Sora's.

Kairi gasped for air as soon as the attack yielded, falling backward until she landed roughly on her back, collapsing to the ground. She felt her consciousness waver, her skin on fire. The Darkness from that attack... Not even her Light could protect her from it.

"It's over!" Sora cried, keeping his grip on Xemnas's hand while he brought forward his Keyblade in his other hand. He launched it forward so that he could deal the final blow, more force behind that stab than any other attack. Xemnas just hurt Kairi. Sora wanted him to truly face his wrath, but now he just had to kill Xemnas. He had to end the battle and get Kairi somewhere safe.
Xemnas's eyes widened then, and he teleported away. He landed a safe distance away from the redhead and the Keyblader, his eyes on them as he breathed heavily. "We will meet again, Sora..." he told the brunet softly, allowing the Darkness to swallow his form.

Sora chucked his blade at Xemnas, but he was gone before the Keyblade ran through empty air. He grunted in anger, though his expression quickly melted from anger to fear when he remembered what caused his rage. He turned around and ran over to the ground where Kairi laid, his blue eyes wide. "Kairi!" he cried, bringing an arm around her upper back and lifting her up a little bit. Was she okay?!
Kairi grunted, Sora's hands and arm touching various burns on her body. Her dress was even shredded slightly due to the burns. Her body was on fire, everything sore. She wanted nothing more than to pass out, but she was afraid she wouldn't wake up if she did.

Sora summoned summoned his Keyblade back to him, grunting as he shut his eyes and focused on a powerful curing spell. It would use up all his remaining magic, but that was no big deal. Kairi was more important by a long-shot. A green glow shone on her whole body with the spell, healing the wounds that Xemnas's attack inflicted.
Kairi felt the spell wash over her, like a cooling water to put out the fire that burned her skin. She released a heavy breath, relaxing a little more in Sora's arms. She let her eyes close as she focused on breathing, having felt lightheaded and dizzy before. Maybe...I'm not as strong as I thought I was.

Sora gazed down at Kairi, seeing that she was healed. He felt relief, but also sorrow and grief that this happened. After staring at her for a few moments, his Keyblade turned into a glider in front of him and Kairi. He lifted his hand to his shoulder guard and his armor appeared in a flash of light. No words were spoken, because there was nothing left to say. His other arm slid underneath Kairi's legs as he picked her up, holding her to his chest as he rose to his feet and got onto the glider. Seconds later, they were flying out a portal. He didn't know where to go, but it would be somewhere safe.
Kairi kept herself huddled up to Sora's form, her wounds healed but her body still sore. "...Where are you taking me?" she asked, feeling the wind of the Lanes Between brush her face. Where were they going?

I don't know, Sora thought, shaking his head ever so slightly. That was the problem. He picked his destination quickly, knowing that they couldn't just fly around in the lanes and be vulnerable. "Disney Castle," he finally said. They would go there, even if it meant that Sora had to see King Mickey and explain what he had been up to since he went missing. He just had to make sure Kairi was safe.
Kairi shook her head faintly, though she kept her eyes closed. "No...I'm okay," she muttered. Just sore. She could keep going... She was at least strong enough for that. If Sora took her to Disney Castle, King Mickey would never let her leave!

Again, Sora shook his head faintly as the world came up within his sights. "I need to know that you're safe, at least for a few minutes," he said as they entered the world's atmosphere. He jumped off his glider when he was close to the ground so Kairi wouldn't hurt worse, his armor staying on for some reason. He didn't want King Mickey to see his troubled expression.
Kairi opened her eyes when she heard Sora's footsteps against the grass, turning her head against his shoulder to see that they reached their destination. She frowned, both at the soreness of her body and the fact that she wouldn't be able to leave once the King saw her. But that was exactly what Sora wanted...wasn't it?

Later that night

Disney Castle was silent at nighttime. Sora never would have guessed that it could be so quiet when there were so many people and magical servants here. But he wouldn't disturb the silence when he left. He and Kairi had a conversation with the King earlier, who was surprisingly not firm with Kairi staying or leaving. He said the decision was up to her, and she decided to come with Sora. They argued, but she wouldn't be swayed. Sora's choice was the one that really mattered though. He took the Star Shard out of Kairi's pouch, stuffing it into one of his pockets for safe-keeping. He was leaving her here...while she was asleep. It was his only choice.

Kairi lay on her side as she slept, even breaths leaving her as one hand remained tucked under the pillow. She was comfortable for once, under the covers with Sora beside her. She wanted to go with him, and they would leave in the morning. Thank goodness the King hadn't been unhappy with her; she didn't need any more disapproval. She had enough from Sora.

Sora took a few steps away, standing in the doorway as he gazed at his sleeping fiance. She looked so at peace now, but that peace would be gone when she woke up. "...I'm sorry," he whispered, sure he wouldn't wake her. "I know I promised to give you a chance, but I made another promise a long time ago. I promised I wouldn't let you get hurt." He furrowed his eyebrows, glaring at the ground for a moment before he looked back up. "That's the promise I'm going to keep." He turned around and left, his footsteps nearly silent. He hoped she could forgive him someday.
Riku flew into Disney Castle, the sunrise providing light on the world as he steered his glider toward the garden. He landed safely and let his armor fade away as he started toward the castle halls. He was alone, and for good reason; he left Lightning behind to get some rest, and this was between him and his two best friends. The King told him that Sora and Kairi were here overnight, so he left during that time to see them. He needed to see if they were okay; he had been searching for them after all.

Sora wasn't at Disney Castle by the time Riku got there; he had been gone quite a few hours already. He was at Traverse Town, in the old room that Merlin used to call his Study. He left a lot of valuable books here because he knew that nobody would steal them. Only a few people knew about them here, and Sora was one of them. He was hoping there would be something in the books that could help him out. Somehow. He felt like he was on the verge of a breakthrough yesterday, but that feeling was gone now. He had to reclaim it.

Riku talked to the King upon greeting him in his study, only to find out that Kairi was in one of the guest rooms. He went that way, knocking on the door and opening it to see that Kairi was asleep in the bed. He heard what happened from the King, and he wasn't at all happy about the results of the fight with Xemnas. Riku approached the bed, sitting down beside Kairi as he put a hand on her shoulder. "...Kairi?"

Kairi moaned slightly in her sleep before turning towards the voice, opening her eyes sleepily to see silver hair--not the brown she had expected. "Riku?" she mumbled. "What're you doing here?"

"I came to see you," Riku explained softly. "To make sure you were okay. Where's Sora?" The two's mutual friend was nowhere around, unlike expected of him.

Kairi turned her head towards the other side of the bed. "Right th--" She was cut short by the absence of the boy she fell in love with. Kairi sat up at the fact, her eyes dancing around the room. Where did he go?!

Sora opened a book and blankly gazed at it, scanning one page briefly but not getting any visions. "Great, when I actually want visions, they don't come," he mumbled. He left Kairi for this? No. He left Kairi so that she would be safe. She had no way of following him this way. This was a mission that he set out to do alone, and it was one that he would finish in the same way. All he had to worry about was taking care of himself. He could do that.

Riku frowned, releasing a breath heavily through his nose. "Looks like the hero took off," he commented softly, looking to Kairi. Upon seeing her dejected expression, he put his hand on hers in a friendly, comforting way. "Hey, cheer up. He left to protect you. Even I know that." He wasn't even around to see it happen, but Sora was predictable in that aspect. He wanted what was best--and safest--for Kairi, and he took that route.

"...He said we could go together," Kairi said, lowering her eyes to her sheet-covered legs. This wasn't fair! Sora told her they would stick together, and then he just ditched her?! That was awful of him!

Sora got up and started pacing the circular room, avoiding the books that were everywhere. "Maybe I've already got the answer," he said to himself. "Maybe all the pieces are in front of me but I need to connect them." He had a whole bunch of data involving the Keyblade, Heartless, Nobodies...He didn't have information on the Unversed, though. He hadn't run into any of them, so he didn't have visions about them. Was that a missing part of the puzzle? It would help if he even knew what the purpose of the visions were...

Riku kept his hand on Kairi's, gazing at her in silence. He had to admit, it wasn't right for Sora to take off after promising Kairi they would go on this journey together, but... "Kairi," he started, sighing. "You're safest here...where the Light is."

"Who cares about any of that?" Kairi asked, a frown on her lips as she lifted her eyes to glare at Riku. She caught him blink at her expression, but it was one she didn't regret giving. "I'm stronger than you two think I am! I'm not the damsel in distress anymore!" She took her hand out from underneath Riku's and got out of the bed, ripping the sheets off her. She then marched towards the attached bathroom, slamming the door shut, leaving Riku to stare after her in a stunned silence.

Sora grunted, eyes shutting briefly when he envisioned two heartless that he fought a long time ago. He fought the two of them together, in Agrabah. For some reason, he felt like traveling there now. He opened his eyes, shaking his head faintly. There was no logical reason for him to go, but he would go anyway. Something told him it would be better than looking through more books. He summoned his armor and left for Agrabah.
