Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku sighed after a minute, hearing Kairi start the shower from the bedroom. He turned his head, locating some stationary by the bed and a pen. He grabbed them, writing and leaving Kairi a note to explain his upcoming disappearance. He had to find Sora; one, to reunite with him since he left the Darkness, and two, to talk to him about Kairi.

In Agrabah

This makes zero sense! Sora thought as he dodged a combined attack from the two Heartless known as the Blizzard Lord and the Volcano Lord. Sora killed these two years ago, and yet here they were! At least they were in the desert and not in the middle of the city, so no civilians could get hurt. He summoned his glider, though he didn't hop onto it. Instead, he controlled it so that it flew into the Blizzard Lord and sent him flying into his counterpart of the opposite element. Unlike last time he fought them, he'd have to take them down on his own. After that was done, then he could think things through.

Riku wasn't sure what was giving off the vibe he felt, but he took it in stride as he entered Agrabah through a portal. The desert winds slowed down his glider ever so slightly, but he could see clearly due to his helmet. Sora was around here somewhere, he just knew it. That was why he was here, he was sure. Thankfully, only a few minutes later, he spotted him and a few Heartless in a battle. Looks like you'll need my help, he thought, lowering himself closer to his glider more so he could go faster.

Sora still had his armor on as he battled the Heartless so that the sand stayed out of his eyes. He was very, very hot because of the armor and the battle as a whole, but it didn't matter. "Back off," he cried, grabbing a hold of the Volcano Lord's staff to swing him around towards the enemy. But all of a sudden, the Blizzard Lord wasn't where he was meant to be. Sora grunted when the Blizzard Lord hit him with its weapon, knocking him back into the sand.
"Sora," Riku scolded, rolling his eyes. He knew better than to have his back to an enemy, but he couldn't blame him completely; he was battling two enemies alone. Riku soared toward the Blizzard Lord, crashing into him with his glider just as he hopped off. He landed safely in the sand, seeing the Heartless bounce off the ground before rolling. Riku smirked behind his helmet and summoned his weapon, prepared to help his best friend defeat these two beasts.

Sora glanced over at the new presence briefly, grunting in surprise. Riku?! But he didn't gawk for long. He was back on his feet and running towards the Blizzard Lord while the Heartless was still on the ground. He jumped into the air, charging his Keyblade so that it was surrounded with fire before he crashed down and stabbed the enemy with the Keyblade. That was it; that was the fatal blow.
Riku saw that Sora could handle the Blizzard Lord, so he took the liberty of confronting the Volcano Lord. He teleported behind the Heartless and instantly struck it with Blizzard, stunning it before he unleashed various combinations of attacks. It was best to get this done quickly.

Sora and Riku finished off the Volcano Lord together, though Riku had the privilege of dealing the final blow. Sora stood in the sand with his Keyblade still in his grasp, though it was loose down by his side. He looked over at Riku, glad to see him for more reasons than one. He hadn't seen his friend since he returned back to their side; it was good to see he was okay. But if he thought he won this battle, he was wrong. "For the record," he started with a small smile, still wearing his helmet. "I wore him down."
Riku turned, releasing a small "hmph" as he rested his blade on the shoulder of his armor. "If it weren't for me, you would have been buried in that sand," he commented, confident. "You're welcome, by the way. I saved your hide again." He smiled behind his helmet, letting the small squabble happen between him and his best friend. He missed this kind of interaction; it had been a while since it occurred.

"Yeah right," Sora said, shaking his head slightly. "I was doing just fine before you showed up." He did have the fight under control for the most part. And he could have taken them both down, it just would have taken more time on his own than it did when Riku showed up. This was why he preferred to fight in teams. But...He needed to go alone this time. Nobody could help him with this, not even Kairi.
"Right," Riku sarcastically replied, rolling his eyes behind his visor. "I'll let you keep thinking that." He let his Keyblade disappear as he started walking toward Agrabah, figuring he could at least fill up on supplies while he was here. He needed to get some for Light too, since she was almost out.

Sora's eyes focused in on the Keyblade just as it was vanishing, but that didn't stop him from receiving a ton of data on it. He grunted, lifted a hand to his head even if he was still wearing his armor. No, not now! he mentally protested, though the data kept on coming. He didn't want Riku to know that he was having issues with this!
Riku walked forward a few more feet before stopping, not sensing Sora's footsteps following. He turned, lifting an eyebrow behind his helmet. "You coming or what?" he asked, but that was when he witnessed his friend's posture. He tilted his head, confused. What was going on?

The visions ended, and Sora was glad that his helmet hid his face from Riku. He removed his hand and nodded to his friend as he summoned his Keyblade away. "Yeah, coming," he said, walking forward to catch up with his friend. "But why are we going into town, exactly?" Riku just randomly started walking there, and Sora wasn't sure why. What was Riku doing here, anyway?
"I need to grab some supplies, both for me and for Lightning," Riku commented, starting to walk again. He kept his armor on, considering it kept the sand from flying into his eyes. "Why we're walking? That's because we need to talk." He didn't want to get into an argument, though; he just wanted to pass on some advice to Sora before things got ugly.

"Er, okay...?" Sora said in confusion, caught up to Riku's side by now. Hearing that they needed to talk always made Sora confused. Normally their "talks" were Riku scolding him for something that he did wrong. But what did Sora do wrong this time? Was Riku mad that Sora went off the radar for nearly a week and didn't tell anyone what was up?
Riku walked for a moment before beginning the conversation. "The King stopped by the castle the other day, after I finally found myself again," he explained. His eyebrows furrowed, his armor clanking with every step. "It was then that he told me you were missing, and Kairi too... I was scared, you know." He shook his head slightly before turning to gaze at his shorter friend. "You know better than to leave without a trace. You were stupid to do that, you know. You scared everyone." Especially Kairi...and especially me.

Sora glanced down at the ground, lifting a hand to rub the back of his neck since he couldn't run a hand over his hair. "...Right. Sorry," he said. I did have my reasons, though. I couldn't face them after what happened with Xemnas...I'm still not the same from that, even if the scar is gone. I'm not so confident anymore. He wanted to be confident, but after a crushing defeat like that, how could he be? And then there was the matter of Xemnas hurting Kairi yesterday...
Riku nodded slightly, accepting the apology for what it was worth. He then focused forward, spotting Agrabah not too far ahead. "And it's not just that," he revealed. "Taking off in the middle of the night hasn't been your best decision recently, either." He knew what happened with Xemnas; the King filled him in when he was searching for Sora and Kairi in Disney Castle. He wasn't the least bit happy about the results, either--with Kairi getting hurt. That was one of his worst nightmares...

Sora furrowed his eyebrows, looking down at the ground. "I didn't have a choice," he said softly. "If I left any other time, Kairi would have tried to follow me." She was being extremely reckless, but so was Sora. At least Sora was physically capable of defending himself against super villains like Xehanort and Xemnas. Kairi could have gotten herself killed though. She wasn't ready for fights like that.
"You broke your promise," Riku said flatly, letting his armor fade as he stepped through the door to the city, no longer afraid of the winds and sand intruding on his vision. He knew Sora never broke promises, and while this may have been necessary to some extent, Kairi felt betrayed.
  • Author
Sora looked up at Riku, blinking not only because of his own armor disappearing then but also at Riku's words and tone. "She broke hers," he said quietly. She promised that she would leave a fight if he told her to, but she didn't. She broke that promise multiple times and it ended up with her getting hurt. He hoped she learned her lesson, but he didn't believe she did.
Riku glanced over his shoulder at Sora as they entered Main Street, a frown set on his lips. "Maybe, but she isn't the 'damsel in distress anymore,' or so I was told," he said. He then looked forward, heading towards the marketplace. "She's stubborn, you know that, and she was trying to prove herself to you. You can at least give her some credit for her courage...and that she lasted that long." He was even surprised. Riku hadn't seen any of Kairi's skills, after all.

Sora shook his head, getting irritated. "You don't know what you're talking about," he said to Riku, stopping where he was. "Kairi and I made a deal. I gave her a chance in a ton of other battles. In exchange, she said she'd run from any battle I told her to run from. She didn't run from Xemnas despite what I told her." He gritted his teeth at the mental image he got, the result of what became of Kairi because she didn't run. "It was my decision, as a more experienced fighter, to put her on the sidelines. She may have some new abilities, but she's not in the right place mentally to be fighting."
Riku stopped a few feet ahead, turning to face Sora. "And you are?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow. Something had changed about Sora, and while Riku didn't know what it was, he could tell there was at least a bad change in his best friend. If he left Kairi without even saying anything, breaking a promise, and leaving everyone else out of the loop as of his whereabouts, there was a problem.
