Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora blinked, surprised that Riku caught on so quickly to something being off. "I'm good enough to still fight. We can't afford to have anyone experienced side-lined." Terra was already out of the fight, but thankfully the others were back in it. Except for Roxas, who he heard was off searching the worlds for Namine. Still, they lost two fighters and Xehanort's team only lost Orphan. The odds weren't too good right now.
Riku sighed softly, glancing at the ground before approaching his best friend. "Look, I don't want Kairi getting hurt just as much as you do," he said, in front of his friend. "But...we can't leave her out of this completely either. We let her and Namine stay with the King for more reasons than just for their safety." They sent them there to be safe, but also to get stronger as fighters; neither of them wanted to be left behind anymore. "While they're not exactly qualified to take on Xehanort or his remnants, they can at least handle Heartless and Nobodies. Especially Kairi. She has a little more power than the rest of us...and it's here." Riku pointed at Sora's heart with one finger, elaborating a little more.

Sora shook his head, eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at the ground. "She's also even more cocky than I was," he said, though it was mostly an insult to himself and how he was before his recent encounter with Xemnas. He made a mistake, thinking that he could be the hero and save Roxas and Namine with no problem. He fell short of that goal by a long shot and now...he didn't feel like a hero. He felt like garbage. He needed to actually do something heroic before he could return to his friends, the real heroes.
Riku frowned slightly, tilting his head as he looked at Sora. He then placed a hand on his friend's shoulder. "We all make mistakes," he admitted. He knew from experience. "You were too confident, and coincidentally so was she. I'm sure you've both learned your lessons by now, but you can't turn your backs on each other. You'll be more vulnerable than you are now." If Sora thought Riku was missing that aspect, he was wrong. Riku caught onto that quickly, having seen how Sora handled himself throughout the last battle with the two Heartless. He was less confident and more hesitant, that was for certain. He needed to get his confidence back, but not the cockiness.

Sora found himself shaking his head again. Not that simple, Riku. "If she was yelling at you saying she wasn't a 'damsel-in-distress', then I don't think she learned her lesson yet," he said as he stared down at the ground. "And as long as she's that overconfident in battle, especially when Xehanort and his team are around, then she's a danger to herself. I won't let that happen again." He wouldn't let her fight till she was ready.
Riku took his hand back, which slowly curled into a fist. "If you say so, but if you know Kairi like I think you do, you know she won't let your disapproval stop her." He turned, starting towards the marketplace at a slightly slower pace. Kairi was one of the most stubborn people he knew, and she wouldn't let this stop her. He was scared for her, yes, but he knew she was headstrong because she believed in herself....and probably more than Sora did.

Sora started ahead again, though he stayed behind Riku. "I made sure she couldn't follow this time," he said simply. He took the Star Shard from her, and the King wouldn't let Kairi take the only Gummi Ship he had. Kairi would feel guilty for taking that anyway. He knew Kairi, just like Riku thought he did. Sora did think this through for once.
Riku smiled bitterly, a laugh of the same nature leaving him. "Man, is she gonna be ticked at you," he said with a small shake of his head. He didn't want to be around the next time they were face to face. That was going to be one ugly conversation.

"I know," Sora said with a small nod and a frown. He curled his hands into fists by his sides, his gaze going to the different stands in town. "But I'd rather have her ticked off than..." Than dead. He grunted at that, stopping walking again as he looked down at the ground. It was a hard choice to make, but he felt like it was the right one. Sora could barely take care of himself in battle right now. Having Kairi along made it worse.
Riku glanced over his shoulder, his footsteps halting only for a second. "As much as I disagree with how you handled it..." he started, "you did the right thing." He nodded slightly before heading toward one of the stands to get some potions and ethers for himself and Lightning. He didn't want her getting hurt just as much as Sora didn't want Kairi getting hurt. Riku knew where Sora was going with his last statement--death. If Kairi left...Riku didn't know what he would do.

Sora nodded faintly, though he still didn't move. Death. The Heartless that he fought with Riku died a long time ago, yet they were alive now. Just like Xemnas, Ansem, and Xehanort died a long time ago but now they were here again. The brunet grunted at another vision, his eyes squeezing shut as he lifted a hand to his head. He was connecting the dots, finally. Those two Heartless were related to two Nobodies and two Somebodies, just like the Xehanorts were related to each other. And if they were back, then did that mean...the Nobodies and Somebodies of those Heartless were back too?
Riku gave his munny to the peddler before turning toward Sora, approaching him with a confused expression when he saw his position. "What's going on with you?" he asked, stopping in front of Sora. Riku saw him in that position earlier, and he got the vibe that he was missing something extremely important.

That was why I saw people in Organization cloaks everywhere! Sora thought in realization, looking up at Riku when he interrupted his thinking and the visions ended. Maybe they weren't really there, but my head was trying to tell me that they could be. Still, to answer Riku's question... "Nothing," he said as he shook his head. His hand came back down to his side. "I gotta go." He turned around and started away, though he wasn't sure how Riku would react. He didn't take kindly to being left out of the loop.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed, and he chased after Sora instantly. "Hey, wait a second," he called, taking a few quick steps forward before placing a hand on Sora's upper arm, stopping him. "What's going on?" He was missing something...he just knew it. What did Sora know that Riku didn't?

Sora stopped when he was forced to, not surprised that Riku was being nosy. That was normal for him. "Kairi can explain it to you later," he said. She could explain the visions to Riku. In the mean time, Sora felt like he needed to talk to Master Yen Sid right away. He was the one who alerted them to Xehanort; maybe he knew something about the Organization too.
Riku's grip on Sora's arm loosened at the words, his expression showing his confusion. But he was also aggravated. He didn't like being lied to, nor did he like secrets being kept from him. Whatever Sora had to do, Riku would let him do it, but he hoped he did it with a steady conscience.

Sora sighed when Riku didn't let him go completely. He already was on the bad side of one of his best friends; he didn't need to get on Riku's as well. "Just...I've been running around on my own for a reason, but I didn't fully understand that reason till now," he said, lifting his gaze to Riku's to show that he was being sincere. "But now that I understand, there's something I gotta look into." Was that okay, or was Riku going to tag along?
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little more as he released his friend's arm. "Will this require any back-up?" he checked. If so, he would tag along, but if Sora thought he could handle it himself, Riku would let him go. He needed to check on Kairi one more time before returning to the Land of Departure.

Sora shook his head faintly. "I'm only going to see Master Yen Sid, so I should be good." But after that, he had no idea what he was going to do. If it led him on another wild goose chase, then maybe he'd enlist help. ...But not from Kairi. Especially not if his hunch was right about the Organization having returned.
Riku nodded, his expression softening as his features relaxed. "All right. Let me know if you need me," he said. Meanwhile, he would return to his beloved and see how she was doing. Last he checked, she was exhausted. Hopefully she was doing better.

"Will do," Sora said with a nod. "See you around, Riku." He lifted a hand and waved casually before he started in the direction that he had been going before. He would leave town and then take off; he didn't want to startle any of the natives. Besides, this gave him an extra minute to think. He hoped he wasn't right in his suspicions, but he sincerely doubted that he was wrong. That was what scared him.

Gran Pulse

After seeing Sora go and returning to check on Kairi, Riku made his way back to Land of Departure only to find out Lightning was gone. He found out from Ven that she ventured to Gran Pulse on her own. Riku arrived in the world through a portal and walked on foot as to not attract attention to himself, especially since towns were now established on a place that used to be only wilderness. "C'mon, Light..." he mumbled. "Where are you?" He wasn't happy she went out on her own, but she couldn't really be stopped. That was something that bugged Riku more than it should have.

Lightning blocked an attack with her sword, the energy from the ball remaining in case she couldn't block it. Her feet slid back in the dirt, but eventually she found the strength to slash through it and make it vanish. She hadn't come to Gran Pulse looking for trouble; she came to check on Serah. She had visited her and her other friends briefly and then decided to return to the Land of Departure so Riku didn't worry. But she got sidetracked by the enemy who was proving to be a tougher fighter in a one-on-one battle: Ansem.
Riku walked through a town silently, seeing that hardly anyone was around. It was just after dusk, so the reason was likely that they were all with families or resting. His eyebrows furrowed, however, when he sensed the Darkness from behind his blindfold. He knew that Darkness. Too well. "Ansem..."

Light blinked when Ansem was suddenly gone; she hadn't been able to see him in her vision for a moment because of the dark orb being in the way. She turned her head just in time to see the lance that was being swung at her side. She grunted roughly, being knocked off her feet. The soldier landed on her side on the ground, sliding a little bit. But just when she was about to move to stand up, she found that she couldn't. Looking up, she saw the Guardian's eyes briefly before he vanished. He wasn't just gripping her this time; he was possessing her.
