Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku backed up into a wall by the time Ansem stopped walking, and he only held Lightning close to him as he glared at the man. "The only curse in my life is you," he hissed. "Now get out." Whatever Ansem planned to do here, it wasn't working. Riku loved Lightning with all he had, and that wasn't about to change.

"I'd rather not," Ansem said with the same half-smile. "You see, you don't have control of this situation, Riku. I do. Would you like it if I stayed and spilled the deepest contents of your heart to the girl you love?" He already did that with Lightning, and he knew Riku so well that he could share a lot of secrets about him as well. Whatever made the two vulnerable to the Darkness.
Riku grunted in disgust, at a loss for words. You wouldn't, he thought in fury...and fear. If Ansem did what he said he would.... Riku's eyebrows furrowed as he glared at the remnant. Everyone had secrets, but he didn't want Lightning to know his. Of course, Ansem probably didn't care.

Alright, that's enough! Lightning mentally cried in rage, seeing that it was a glaring match between Riku and Ansem. This needed to stop. But unfortunately, she and Riku couldn't just leave. They were backed up against a wall and Ansem was blocking their way. Behind Ansem, the Guardian appeared, restrengthened by the emotions that Ansem was stirring up in the both of them. The sight of the monster made Light tighten her grip on Riku's shoulder in fear. Not him again...
Riku felt his anger grow when the Guardian reappeared, Lightning's grip on his shoulder alerting him of her terror. Nobody hurt her and got away with it. The Guardian was part of Ansem, and Ansem was antagonizing them now. He would pay for this if it was the last thing Riku did!

"The decision is yours, Riku," Ansem said, folding his arms over his chest as he looked at the enraged boy. "Either I can spill all your secrets or I can let the Guardian continue his work." He knew Riku wouldn't like his choices, but this was the dilemma that he had to face. The boy was lucky that Ansem didn't summon his weapon and just kill the both of them while he was busy cradling her.
Riku closed his eyes at the options, hating each of them. His jaw flexed with rage, his heart beating rapidly. But...it was more than that. Something's...happening, he thought, his hold on Lightning weakening when he felt his chest beginning to burn. He grunted roughly, fighting the urge to cry out. What was going on?

While Ansem continued to glare at Riku, Light looked up at him. When she saw his expression, her eyes widened. He was enraged, but also...in pain? She kept her arms around him even if he wasn't holding onto her so tightly now, the young woman not afraid that he would drop her. There was something else going on; she just didn't know what.
Riku felt his knees shake, a result of the pain in his chest. The rage and fear he felt in his heart burned in his chest now, but for what reason? He had been enraged before and this never happened. Riku released a strained groan in pain, slipping down to one knee. "...What's...happening to me?" he whispered, though he didn't expect an answer. Something was wrong.

Light's eyes widened when Riku dropped to a knee, her wide eyes on him. "Riku..." She then shifted her gaze to Ansem and the Guardian who were right in front of them with little distance between them and her and Riku. Her eyebrows furrowed as she took a hand off Riku's shoulder, her arm extending as she summoned her power to her. She only managed to shoot off one fireball, which missed her target, before the Guardian swung around Ansem and gripped her hand and wrist in its large hand. She grunted weakly, the Darkness of the creature burning her.
Riku sensed the Darkness being so close, and it was enough to infuriate him more. "Get...away...from her," he growled, wincing between words. But the rage and pain combined were enough; the ground underneath Riku glowed with the color of his eyes, expanding to a radius of five feet. He opened his eyes long enough to notice, but closed them again when the burning in his chest grew in strength. Lightning...what's happening to me?

Lightning's eyes widened when the Guardian yanked on her arm, and because Riku's grip was loose on her, he managed to pull her to her feet. She stumbled forward a few steps, only staying on her feet because the Guardian continued gripping her arm and he was taller than her. "Get your hand off me!" she cried hoarsely, struggling against the monster. She lifted her other hand to shove him away, but he used his other hand to stop it. He grasped that as well as a low growl left his lips. It was a threat for what he wanted to do again. "No!"
Riku heard the noises and cries of fear, and the fire in his chest erupted. He cried out in pain as the glow on the ground grew brighter, and he sucked in a breath quickly enough to jump out of the way. Just then sparks of lightning fell to where he was kneeling seconds before, thunder roaring. Riku's wide eyes were locked onto the scene, a hand at his chest as a beast suddenly appeared. It neighed, rearing back on its hind legs. Its name suddenly appeared in his mind. Ixion.

Light's eyes widened, the young woman turning her head and looking at the horse that just appeared along with all the lightning. She had no clue what it was; she had never seen a beast like that before. But she immediately knew what type of beast it was, and it wasn't a bad one. "An Eidolon?" she gasped. That was what it was. But how did Riku manage to summon one? He was never a l'Cie...
Riku stared at the Eidolon, a name he grasped from Lightning. But he understood instantly how close of a connection he had with it. Ixion turned his head, staring right at Riku as the two shared the same thoughts, ones that were Riku's. His hatred towards Ansem and the Guardian were adopted from Ixion, and Riku knew instantly they had an understanding. He nodded to the Eidolon before it charged up its power, the tip of its horn glowing with electricity. Better run, Ansem.

Ansem took a step back, eyebrows furrowing as his eyes narrowed. Riku summoned a beast to fight his battle for him, and he expected Ansem to be terrified? That wasn't going to happen. He started charging up his own attack, one of powerful Darkness that could cover this entire area in Darkness. He would release that power; he wasn't going to go down without a fight.
Riku kept a hand on his chest, looking at Ixion before his eyes darted to Ansem. "Do it now!" he hollered to his Eidolon, and the power was released. A large shock was sent at Ansem, one that held the rage within Riku's heart. If this was how he was to use his power now, and not for the Darkness, he would. It was better than the Darkness.

Lightning grunted when the Guardian released her hands, the soldier dropping down to the ground on her knees as the monster teleported to stand in front of its master to take the blow for him. But he wasn't strong enough. The attack impacted the both of them, and Light briefly heard the Heartless cry out before the two of them vanished from the scene. They must have realized that they met their match.
Riku saw that Ansem was gone, and the Darkness that caused the air to be thick disappeared. He pushed himself to his feet, exhaling a breath as he made his way toward Lightning. He bent down, placing his hands on her shoulders as Ixion lingered. "...Are you okay?" he asked softly. He could see marks on her wrists from the Guardian, which only fueld his rage towards Ansem.

Light nodded faintly, eyebrows furrowed slightly as she tried to be stoic. Riku was asking about physical wounds, not everything else. "I'm okay," she said with a small nod. Her arms were hurting because of the Guardian gripping her and her emotions were crazy at the moment, but Ansem and the Guardian were finally gone. And this time, they wouldn't be coming back.
"I'll get you to Serah's," Riku volunteered gently, moving his hand to grip Lightning's. What just happened...it was a lot for him to handle. He couldn't imagine what Lightning was experiencing at that moment.

Light's eyes widened briefly. "No," she said automatically, shaking her head faintly. "Serah's not...going to see me like this." No way was she going to let Serah see her this vulnerable. She was the older, stronger sister; she had to keep up that image even if Serah already saw past it. She had to stay strong.
Riku gripped Lightning's hand securely but gently, not moving. She didn't want Serah to see her when she was a wreck, and just the thought bothered Riku. He was supposed to protect her from this, from Ansem! Maybe I am neglecting her well-being...

Light shifted her gaze to Riku's Eidolon, which had yet to leave. "I'm still wondering how you managed to summon an Eidolon," she said as she changed the subject. He wasn't a l'Cie. The only thing that he had that could connect him to an Eidolon was...The Crystarium that Lightning gave him a long time ago. She had received it in an alternate future and gave it to an Older Riku in a different future. She thought it would have stayed with him, but it must have transferred to the young man in front of her.
"Mm," Riku hummed with a small nod. He moved his sight to the creature that stood not too far away, gazing at them. "I don't know either." But...he was thankful for Ixion. He helped get rid of Ansem, and got the Guardian away from Lightning before something terrible happened. He was a part of Riku that the young man actually liked.
