Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning kept her gaze on Riku's Eidolon as the wheels kept turning in her head. Legends on Cocoon said that the goddess Etro was the one who provided Eidolons to help l'Cie when they were needed most. The part about need didn't concern Light; she knew they were in a bad spot just now. It was Etro that concerned her. Did she intervene in Riku's life just to make Lightning more willing to be her Guardian? Her warrior? She grunted in disgust, lowering her head and shutting her eyes. She still wouldn't do it.
Riku looked at Lightning at the sound, concerned. "Where would you like to go?" he asked softly. He didn't want to keep her here, where Ansem's torment lingered. And she didn't want to be here, apparently, since she didn't want to go to her sister's. So where could he take her where she would be safe?

Images of Fang, Vanille, and other lost friends appeared in Light's mind. Was that Etro's way of saying that Lightning could still bring them back as long as she served her? She lifted a hand to cover her eyes, her other hand remaining in Riku's. Just an empty promise. "Anywhere," she said. She just needed to get away from this grief that the Guardian dug up.
Riku nodded a little and slowly stood, holding Lightning's hand the entire time. The Land of Departure was the only safe place, but so was Destiny Islands. Did he risk his home by taking her there? Maybe he needed to just take her to the Castle, or even King Mickey's place. She would definitely be safe there.

Light rose to her feet with Riku's help, though she still felt a little weak because of the Guardian messing with her heart earlier. She just wanted to grieve and accept comfort, the latter being rare for her. She normally shrugged off her emotions and cast them aside. But she couldn't do it this time. Aware that she was being vulnerable, she stepped closer to Riku. Her free hand moved from her eyes to his shoulder, the young woman turning her face so it was hidden against Riku's other shoulder as she stood right in front of him. She needed him right now.
Riku looked down at Lightning, hesitating a moment before lifting his free hand to sit on the small of her back. "Hey, it's gonna be okay," he assured her gently. "I promise." He didn't promise much, but when he did, he made sure he kept them. He would set things right; she was a victim to Ansem's Darkness because of him in the first place.

Lightning nodded faintly against Riku's shoulder, her eyes remaining shut as she tightened her grip on the fabric of his shirt. She believed him, she just knew that things wouldn't be okay anytime soon. Not until Ansem and the other forms of Xehanort were gone forever. And not until she was certain that Etro and Caius weren't going to manipulate her future and tear her away from her new family.
Riku squeezed Lightning's hand, gazing at the ground behind her. He then lifted his gaze to his newest ally, knowing that with Ixion's help, he could possibly turn things around. He could only hope so, because he wasn't the only one who wanted things to be better. Everyone did.

After a moment or two, Light lifted her head out of Riku's shoulder and looked up. Even if he wasn't looking at her, it wouldn't hinder what she did next. She tilted her chin up and shut her eyes as her lips gently connected with Riku's in a kiss. Her pale blue eyes were moist behind her eyelids, and she couldn't explain why she suddenly kissed Riku; she was just hoping that she would never have to grieve over losing him. Ever.
Riku's eyes closed instantly at the contact, and he lifted his hand from Lightning's to touch her cheek as he returned her gesture. He was so scared when she was almost taken by the Guardian; he thought he was going to lose her to his worst enemy: Ansem and his Darkness. He could never let that happen.

Light's lips gently moved with Riku's, her arms slowly wrapping around his neck. She wouldn't start crying, but there was a lot of moisture growing behind her eyelids. Riku was the person who finally taught her to love others wholeheartedly. If she lost him, she would lose her ability to love too. Because she could never love somebody as much as she loved Riku.
Riku kept one hand on Lightning's lower back, kissing her for another long moment before slowly pulling back. Before he pulled back completely, however, he placed one more gentle kiss on her lips. He then rested his forehead against hers, sighing softly. He wouldn't let Ansem hurt her again, not while he was still alive.

Light kept her eyes shut after the kiss ended, feeling Riku's soft sigh against her face. She swallowed and then exhaled a breath through her nose so that it wouldn't sound shaky. Her arms around Riku weren't exactly loose, but they weren't overwhelmingly tight. She was clingy now, but not as clingy as she was when the Guardian was directly involved. The thought of the creature made her fight the urge to shudder.
"I'm gonna make things right again," Riku whispered after a moment, keeping his eyes closed. "You'll see." He was always messing things up, especially with Lightning. He couldn't keep doing this to her. He either fixed things, or he left so she wouldn't be unhappy anymore. He doubted he could do the latter; it was too hard to live without her.

Lightning nodded faintly against Riku's head, her own head lowering a little bit as her arms loosened around him. The weakness was starting to make itself more apparent, at least to her. She leaned into Riku as she moved her head off of his and onto his shoulder again, her eyes remaining shut. She didn't feel so good...
Riku let his arm wrap around Lightning's back more, his hand that was on her cheek moving to rest on the back of her head. He looked at Ixion one more time and nodded slightly, the Eidolon repeating the action before disappearing in understanding. Riku closed his eyes when he felt his newest ally join with him once more, though he knew things weren't completely done yet. He had to get Lightning out of here. He kissed her hair once before running his fingers over it. "Where would you like to go?" he whispered gently. If she said anywhere, he would take her to Disney Castle, at least until she recovered.

"I don't know," Lightning whispered into Riku's shoulder. She didn't know where she wanted to go. Not somewhere where they would run into anyone. She just wanted to be in Riku's arms for a little while; that was it. There was no specific place that she wanted to go. It just needed to have three things: privacy, a place to rest, and Riku. That was what she cared about.
Riku pulled away slightly to look down at the person he loved. "I have an idea," he told her gently. He would take her to the place where he knew peace existed, but it wouldn't be the Islands; he couldn't put his home in danger.

When Riku pulled away a little bit, Lightning was forced to as well. She set her hands on his shoulders as she looked up at him with pale blue eyes, a hum of question leaving her lips. Whatever his idea was, it was probably fine. She just had no idea what it was, so that was why she was waiting for him to tell her what his plans were.
"Just trust me," Riku requested softly, gazing at the woman before him. She was beautiful and strong, and he didn't want any of that to be destroyed because of Ansem. So he was going to take Lightning to a place where Ansem could never appear: Disney Castle.

Lightning nodded faintly to Riku after a moment. It was obvious that she trusted him; she trusted Riku with her life, and with her heart. It would always be that way, no matter what life threw at them. Earlier, when the Guardian took over her, Riku told her to trust him and stay with him. And she did.
Riku nodded slightly as well before releasing Lightning and stepping past her to summon his glider. It appeared right in front of him, and he hit his armguard to summon his armor. It was time he got the person he loved somewhere safe.

Lightning got onto the glider after Riku, and it was then that the two of them flew towards whatever Riku's destination was. She was surprised when he flew to Disney Castle. She blinked as they entered the atmosphere. This is the world where Terra was side-lined. Riku isn't thinking about leaving me here, is he? She didn't get a chance to ask the question, because after just a moment in the world, she noticed another portal that another Keyblader entered through. It was...Sora?
Riku lowered his glider to the garden area, his eyes trailing the other person who entered the world. His eyebrows furrowed slightly when he recognized it was Sora, but the reason for him being here must have been Kairi. Riku couldn't think of anything else.

Sora was surprised when he saw Riku and Lightning fly into the world right before him, but it was fitting. They deserved to know what he just spoke to Master Yen Sid about. And they could take the message back to the others. He jumped off his glider and landed on the ground a few yards in front of Riku and Lightning, the latter getting off Riku's glider and looking at him. As his armor faded, it revealed a troubled expression. "Riku, Lightning," he greeted.
