Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku saw the expression his best friend wore, and it was enough for him to instantly get off his glider. It disappeared along with his armor as he approached his friend. "Sora," he greeted with a small nod. "What's up?" It wasn't a casual question, however; he knew something was off.

"Nothing good," Sora said, faintly shaking his head. "I just got done talking to Master Yen Sid and thought I'd tell King Mickey what he told me. You guys wanna listen in?" He could talk to the three of them at once, and Terra if he was around. ...And Kairi. By the connection in their hearts, he could tell that she was still on this world. He wasn't sure whether to be glad or not.
"Definitely," Riku said, glancing over at Lightning before his eyes settled on his best friend. Master Yen Sid was one of the wisest people any of them knew, so anything he said was to be taken to heart. And clearly caution. What was going on?

Sora nodded faintly, jerking his head to motion for his two friends to follow him as he started towards King Mickey's office. He hoped that the King was in there. He had to have been; Riku and Lightning must have been here to see him. Or so he figured. Still, he wasn't quite sure. "What're you two doing here?" he asked over his shoulder as they walked.
Riku glanced at the ground, only a few steps behind Sora. "We had a problem with Ansem," he stated. "I brought Lightning here to keep her safe." At least until she was okay again; she was still shaken up, from what he could tell.

"...Oh," Sora said, eyebrows furrowed as he looked down the hall. Well, that wasn't the answer that he had been expecting. Sorry I brought it up, he thought silently. Regardless, the three of them quickly reached the end of the hall, and Sora knocked on the door. When he heard the response to come in, he did just that, though the King was clearly surprised to see him.

Riku let Lightning walk in first and shut the door to the office behind him. He nodded faintly to the King in greeting, approaching his desk where Kairi was sitting. He didn't sit, though, preferring to stand. Sora would introduce the topic, since he was clearly the one with all the information.

Kairi looked over her shoulder at her friends, though her gaze wasn't so friendly with her fiance. She turned back around in her seat to face the King, their conversation interrupted for the moment. She had been talking to him about letting her leave, but it hadn't gone the direction she clearly wanted. Once Sora, Riku, and Lightning left, though, she would question him about it again.

Sora blinked in surprise when Kairi was in this room, and giving him a nasty look. Kairi... He shook his head faintly, eyebrows furrowed as he looked past his angry fiance to the King. "Sorry to, uh, interrupt," he said. He sensed a lot of eyes on him, including Lightning's and the King's. It was best that he just got started with what he had to say. "But...I just talked to Master Yen Sid and thought you'd like to know what he said."

"What is it?" King Mickey asked, eyebrows furrowed in seriousness as he looked at the boy. He understood that he and Kairi weren't seeing eye-to-eye right now, but even knowing that, he could tell that Sora was distressed for another reason. Probably related to what he was about to say.

"I've been following a lead lately that there's more danger out there than just Xehanort's team," Sora said. "I hadn't been able to find anything, but today I got new insight and I went to Master Yen Sid with it." Time to spit it out. "...He confirmed that there are certain members of the Organization who are still alive, along with their Heartless and their Nobodies."

Riku brought a hand to his forehead instantly, turning around and approaching the nearest wall. That was not what he wanted to hear at a time like this. He leaned against the wall and kept his head down, eyes closed. On top of Xehanort, Ansem, Xemnas, and Vanitas, they now had to worry about the Organization? Great...just great.

"He doesn't know how many have returned or how many could attack, but I know of two that are alive so far," Sora elaborated, eyebrows furrowed as he sensed the thick tension in the room. "I just defeated their Heartless today in Agrabah, with Riku's help." He nodded faintly to his friend, who was upset. He was too, but he wasn't here to mope. He was going to try and search for somebody who could help. Master Yen Sid told him of somebody who could help change the tide of this fight before the remaining members of the Organization took action.
Riku looked up at that, remembering the fight Sora had almost tackled alone. The Volcano and Blizzard Lords? he thought. "...The elements," he muttered to himself. Fire and ice... Axel, and Vexen. Oh no.
  • Author
"Axel and Vexen are back, at least," Sora declared, eyebrows furrowed as he looked back to King Mickey. He glanced at Kairi briefly before he looked back to the mouse, trying to stay on task. "I would go hunt down whoever else is out there, but the fight's too big. Master Yen Sid told me about another man named Retlaw who could change the tide. So, I'm going to go search for him right away. ...I just thought you should know what's going on."

I'm going, Kairi repeated in her head, glaring at the desk in front of her. It was always about Sora doing things alone. Hadn't he ever heard of teamwork? She didn't even voice her opinion, since it wouldn't matter.

Riku looked up at Sora's words, his arms crossed over his chest. "I'm going with you," he declared. Even if he wasn't asked, he was still going. He was done with all of this trouble, and the fact that someone could help turn things around was convincing enough. He was tagging along.

  • Author
Sora shook his head faintly, turning to face Riku and Lightning, who both looked like they wanted to tag along. "I'm afraid that if more than one person went, Xehanort would notice and the Organization would start causing trouble," he explained. "It's best if I go alone. And besides, Xehanort and his minions are obviously still causing trouble--" He glanced over at Lightning as she shifted her gaze to the ground. "--So you guys should keep working to defeat them."
"They're in hiding," Riku said, pushing himself away from the wall. "They'll only come out when they want to be found. And I'm not going to play a game of cat and mouse with any of them." He wasn't going to wait around for them to decide when they would show themselves. He wanted to solve this and get rid of them.
  • Author
"Or if you don't want attention being called to your search for this man, Retlaw," Lightning inserted, taking a small step forward, "then Riku and I could work as a diversion. We can defeat whatever Heartless and Nobodies are out in the open from the Organization." She noticed Sora considering the idea, which was good. And despite the threat, she was glad she had a reason to think tactically instead of focusing on emotions.
"No," Riku said, looking over at Lightning. "You were nearly possessed a few hours ago. You're staying out of harm's way." He wasn't about to lose her again, or even come close. He brought her here for a reason, and it would be nice if she respected that.

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows, looking over at Riku. So, you did intend to make me stay here, she thought. Should have known. "No, Riku," she said simply. "I can handle myself out there." She was a soldier. And besides, she expelled the Guardian from her heart. She didn't believe that he could possess her again. Her heart was under her control.

"That's not how it seemed a little while ago," Riku commented lowly, looking back over at the King. He didn't want to get into this right now, in front of someone he respected. It wouldn't be right. If they had to, they could take this out in the hall.

Kairi continued to glare at the desk, aware that Riku and Lightning were in the same kind of situation she and Sora were in. But it seemed that Lightning had a possibility of winning this fight. Kairi didn't.

"I got out of it alive," Lightning said. "If I can survive that, I can survive anything." Her eyes said the words that she didn't speak aloud. There's no way you could stop me from coming, Riku. Try to leave me and I'll go off on my own and not have you to back me up. Or you can just bring me along. It's up to you. But no matter the case, she would be a part of this fight.

"You got out of it alive because of me," Riku snapped, looking back over at the person he loved with sharp eyes. You know that. If he hadn't been there, she would have succumbed to the Darkness. As much as that scared him and upset him, it was the truth. He was the one to talk her out of it.

"Enough," Kairi muttered, the word attracting Riku's attention. She could feel his eyes boring into her back, but she didn't care. This was not the place for the two of them to get into this.

Light's sharp eyes went from Riku to Kairi when she mumbled that one word, but then she looked back to Riku. Kairi was right; that was enough. She was coming, whether Riku agreed to it or not. The young woman turned and exited the room, opening and shutting the door behind her (though she didn't slam it because she respected the King enough to not do that). She needed some air.
Kairi didn't move underneath Riku's gaze, tense enough as it was. She could sense that he was battling himself, thinking about whether or not he should stay or go after Lightning. She honestly didn't care right now, caught up with her own issues.

"...I'm just...gonna go," Sora said after a moment, the air even thicker than it was when he revealed the news. "I'll try to check in with you guys every day or two." He glanced at Kairi, disappointed that she was seething so much over this and taking it out on Riku. It was really immature of her. Regardless, he turned around and started out.
Kairi felt her heart skip at Sora's words, and she closed her eyes as moisture grew in them. But she then looked at the King, rising from her seat. "Excuse me, Your Majesty," she said quietly, turning and walking out of the room after Sora. She wasn't sure if she was going to talk to him or march straight to her room. Either way, she wasn't going to get upset in front of the King.
