Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi kept her eyes closed at the gesture, lifting a hand to sit on one of Sora's arms extended to her. "Then at least let Riku go with you... Please?" she requested softly. She would feel so much better if they were together rather than alone. She hated seeing either of them go out to battle, but...she couldn't stop them. Ever.

Sora kept his head by Kairi's for a moment before he pulled back a little to look at her. "I need him and Lightning to fight the Heartless, like she suggested earlier," he said gently. "It'll be safer for me that way; nobody will even notice me." That was what he believed to be true, but now that Kairi was showing a change of heart, maybe she could...come with him?
Kairi didn't say anything, only releasing a shaky breath. The thought of one of the Organization or Xehanort's allies finding Sora alone, sneaking around... It would be ugly, and she didn't even like the picture in her head. She gripped his arm more tightly, shaking her head. "...Don't go," she begged weakly. He was always leaving her.

"I have to, baby," Sora said, his voice weak as well. But...I'll say this, but I hope you don't make me regret it, Kairi... "...But, I would appreciate some back-up. There's this red-headed girl I know who would be good for the job. She's stubborn as anything, but even more loyal than she is stubborn." He smiled weakly at his beloved, his hand moving off her cheek as he tucked back some of her hair. Maybe she was ready to join him now.
Kairi opened her eyes at the words, her blurry vision clearing once she blinked. Her gazed rested on the blue eyes she loved, looking at him in surprise as a smile started to form on her face. "...Really?" she asked softly. Did Sora really mean what she thought he did?

"As long as you promise to trust my judgment in battle," Sora said softly, his smile fading away in seriousness. In other words, if he said "run", then she ran. He could handle himself on his own as long as he wasn't distracted with protecting. That wasn't a put down to her; allies always needed protection in battle. It was that simple, whether she understood it or not.
Kairi nodded. "Mm-hm," she hummed in understanding, elated and excited. She looked up at the stern face of her future husband with the same smile, not caring that he was serious; so was she. She wasn't going to betray his trust again. He was giving her a second chance.

Sora chuckled softly at Kairi's expression, shaking his head faintly at her excitement. Despite the smile, he knew that she was serious. "Alright then," he said softly. He jerked his head in the direction of the bedrooms. "Go get cleaned up. I'll be waiting." He wouldn't leave without her this time.
Kairi's smile grew seconds before she pushed herself up with her toes and kissed Sora on the lips. She held the position for a few seconds before lowering herself back to the ground. "Thank you," she whispered gratefully, pulling away from her beloved and stepping past him, hurrying down the hall to get to the staircase, where she would go to her bedroom and get ready to leave.

Sora smiled faintly at the girl that he loved, turning as he watched her go down the hall. They would get going and search for Retlaw together, then. But first, they had to sort out the plan with Riku and Lightning. He wondered how those two were doing by now, since Lightning left the King's office a while ago, even before he did.
Riku managed to escape the King's office, deciding to leap over the balcony and land in the garden area as to not interrupt Sora and Kairi's argument. They were so busy yelling at each other that they didn't even notice him, but now things were quiet, so he guessed they settled it out. Unfortunately, he and Lightning weren't the same. He entered through another door and walked along one of the other halls in the castle, searching for her. They needed to have a talk.

Lightning was in the same place that she had been for a long time, on a balcony overlooking the courtyard where they originally flew in. She was sitting down, leaning against one of the walls, and looking down at her lap in silence for a long time, but now her eyes were shut. She hated fighting with Riku, and now the pain from their fight was almost making her wish she gave into the Guardian's offer. Feeling nothing was better than feeling pain.
Riku walked around a corner, aware that it led to both a room and a balcony. He was happy he took this turn that usually led to a dead-end, spotting the person he loved out on the balcony. He approached her quietly so as not to startle her, but he did want to make his presence known.

Ugh, that's a pathetic thought, Lightning scolded herself, opening her eyes and glaring down at her lap. Stop letting the grief get to you. You're a soldier. Just chase back the emotions for now and focus on what needs to be done. But she couldn't just push away the emotions. All the grief of her whole life was brought to the surface. Her parents, her colleagues, her closest friends, even her younger sister. She was facing all the grief at once, and that combined grief was too big to ignore.
Riku approached the wide archway that led out to the balcony, crossing his arms and leaning a shoulder against it as he gazed at the person he loved. She was beautiful, but she was sad... "Hey," he called gently. They needed to talk things out; he couldn't stand seeing her so upset.

Lightning looked up when Riku appeared within her vision, seeing him above her as he leaned against the doorway. Her expression was as stoic as she could make it when she was this distraught. "Hey," she said with a small nod, not moving from her spot on the ground. She was wondering when he would come around; it had been a while since she left for air.
"It seems like we're not the only ones not getting along," Riku said softly. "Sora and Kairi got into it out in the hall. I managed to slip by and get out of there." He never interfered with their fights, not wanting to be on either's bad side. Kairi was especially dangerous when ticked off; he learned his lesson with that a while ago.

"I'm not surprised," Lightning responded quietly. "She seemed infuriated earlier." Kairi had only briefly looked at all of them when they entered, and she looked at Sora the longest with a really bitter look. But whatever was going on, they would get over it. They were engaged, after all. They wouldn't cancel the wedding, so they would be forced to duke it out and fix it eventually.
"Mm," Riku hummed, looking down at the woman sitting on the floor. "But she wasn't the only one." Lightning walked out on the meeting, though it wasn't necessarily that. A lot of arguing was involved, unfortunately. He hated that the King had to see that.

Light shifted her gaze to the end of the balcony, where she could see the setting sun. "I'm fine," she said automatically. "Just figured I wouldn't argue because I'm coming with whether you want me to or not." She knew today was a close call, and she knew she was here because of Riku getting through to her. But close calls like that were bound to happen when Xehanort was around.
Riku released a heavy breath through his nose, lifting his gaze to the sunset as well. "...You want me to be honest?" he asked softly. There were some things they needed to talk about, and that included their feelings toward the future. It was going to be a difficult battle.

Light shifted her gaze back to Riku, arching a brow at him. "As opposed to...?" she asked. What, was he implying that she would rather have lies than the truth? Because that certainly wasn't the case, and that was obvious. She wouldn't want him to lie to her about something important. So yes, she did want him to be honest and truthful with her right now.
Riku looked back to Lightning, smiling bitterly. "Lying and saying I'm not scared," he finally admitted. He was afraid for Lightning's sake, and his...and Sora's. Roxas and Namine were still out there somewhere, stuck with the cloaked figure. Xehanort was still out there, scheming to take them all down, one by one... It was a frightening reality that he sometimes didn't want to face.

Light laughed bitterly, looking down at the ground. "You couldn't get a lie like that past me in the first place," she said. It was obvious that Riku was afraid. He had been pretty scared ever since Ansem returned. He still wore the blindfold because of that man. But...Light believed that his eyes would stay aqua now, even if he took it off. He was stronger now.
"Hmph," Riku said, smirking at the words. "I guess I'm not as mysterious as I used to be." He uncrossed his arms, lowering one of his hands to smooth out Lightning's hair on the top of her head, doing it delicately. He remembered when nobody could read him, ever. Now it was the opposite.
