Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Guess not," Light said, feeling Riku smooth her hair. She wanted to savor the feeling, but...things weren't really okay between them. He was startled by what happened today just as much as she was. Light didn't like admitting it, but the encounter with the Guardian really unnerved her. Everything about it was scary. How quickly she lost her consciousness, how she tried to come back but he used her grief to keep her from returning...how he returned when her heart was vulnerable again.
Riku's smirk disappeared after a moment, the young man gazing down at the person he loved. He let his hand sit atop her pink hair as he stared at her, not knowing what to say but thinking millions of different things. He wanted her to be around in the future, but he was scared something would happen if she left this place. What if he lost her? He would never get the chance to propose or truly be with her... He would never have a family... He wouldn't have a future at all.

"Riku," Light said softly, hearing his silence. "It won't happen again." The Guardian, Ansem...She wouldn't let them get to her again. They could blabber all they wanted, but as long as Riku was around, then she would have a reason to fight. He was the only reason she needed to want to live, though she was blessed with many other reasons. Like Serah, and Ven, and all her other friends.
"...It almost did," Riku pointed out quietly, thinking of the second time Ansem showed up. He was talking down to both him and Lightning, and the Guardian almost grabbed her again. If it weren't for Riku summoning Ixion...maybe she would have succumbed a second time. Just the thought made Riku close his eyes in fear. He didn't like the possibility.

"No, it didn't," Light said quietly. During that time, she felt the Guardian tugging at her heart but he couldn't even fade into her partially. "I blocked him out, completely. He can't touch my heart." She was sure that Riku was the same with the Guardian now that he expelled him. The Guardian inflicted physical damage, but he didn't get inside her again. Even then, she was stronger than that.
Riku nodded slightly, humming to let Lightning know he caught on. So she wasn't threatened then, at least not within her heart... That was good to know. But still, he was worried for her safety. Ansem was using her to get through to him; it was obvious.

Lightning leaned her head to the side, against Riku's leg as his hand still rested in her hair. She shut her eyes, not because she was relaxed, but because she was tired. Possession made a person tired, not that she would have known that before today. Then again, she could have figured it out; she remembered how exhausted Riku was when he came back to their side.
Riku opened his eyes, spotting Lightning immediately. He let his hand move, his fingertips running over her hair gently. Playing with her hair was always calming to him, but he wasn't sure why. It was a habit he didn't really want to kill.

Lightning let Riku play with her hair, staying still as she rested. But there were still issues that they had to discuss, like their plans. "When're we leaving?" she asked him softly after a minute or two of silence. Were they going to go with the plan she brought up earlier, so that he wasn't in the sight of the enemies? It seemed like their best bet, even if that meant letting the others handle Xehanort and his team.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed slightly as he gazed at the person he loved, her words echoing in his ears. "Soon...but only if you promise to rest before we do," he requested. He could tell she was tired, and so was he. But...he couldn't keep her here. He realized that now, once the fear subsided for a little while. Lightning was trained for this kind of life, where as he had to learn it as he went along. They were different, but the same.

Light nodded faintly against Riku's leg, her eyes remaining shut. "Is there a spare bedroom around here?" she asked him softly. She would rest, just as long as he was resting with her. This world was one where no Darkness was welcome, which meant that they could let their guard down for one night. Because of that, they could focus solely on being with each other as they fell asleep, not worrying about threats coming in their sleep.
"There's like, twenty," Riku commented with a smile. It was a castle, after all. There was actually one right next to them, near the balcony. They could rest there. Yes, they; Riku was going to lie down as well. He hadn't rested in at least a day or so.

"Hmph," Light hummed with a slight smile. She took her head off Riku's leg and rose to her feet, glancing over the balcony one last time to see that the sun was nearly set. This was a nice world, but she wasn't going to stay longer than she needed to. There was still a battle to be fought out there, and she would be a part of it.
Riku's smile remained as his hand fell back down to his side. He pushed himself away from the wall and turned, going back inside the castle to reach the bedroom close by and trusting Light to follow. They would rest for a while, then face reality. Together.

Light followed Riku into the bedroom, which was a nice one. She shouldn't have been so surprised; it was a nice castle. Regardless, she got cleaned up in the adjoining bathroom before she returned to the room and sat on the edge of the bed, taking off her equipment and boots. It was time to get some rest and try to forget all that happened that day.
Riku was already on the bed by the time Lightning got out of the bathroom, his vest and shirt forgotten on the floor, the same with his shoes. He stared up at the white ceiling, a sigh leaving him. It felt good to lie down in a bed again, even if he was in one almost two days ago back in the Land of Departure. He gazed at Lightning after a moment, though, admiring her from where he lay. He couldn't remember the last time he rested with her in a double bed. It had been a long time.

Light finished taking off the boots, weapon, and pouch, but she also took off the trench-coat to reveal the brown turtleneck beneath it. When she was all set for bed, she laid down under the covers next to Riku, on her side as she gazed at him with soft eyes. It had been so long since they slept in the same bed; it made her feel sad now that she thought about it.
Riku had both arms tucked behind his head, though he turned it to look at the person he loved. He smiled slightly, realizing what they were doing. "...Feels nice," he commented softly, speaking of them being in the same bed. It had been too long since the last time they did this. It had to have been their vacation on the mountain. That felt like ages ago.

"Yeah," Light agreed softly, pale blue eyes staying locked on Riku. I want to do this every night for the rest of my life if I can, she added silently. She reached the decision that she wanted to marry Riku a long time ago. She hoped that he felt the same way, but she believed that he did. They were constantly talking about "forever", after all. And all their forevers involved each other.
Riku let his eyes stay locked on Lightning, though he then realized that he couldn't see her clearly. His blindfold was still on... Maybe, he could take it off now... Riku leaned up slightly, reaching behind his head to untie his blindfold. He slowly took it off, letting his head rest on the pillow as he put it on the table on his side of the bed. He looked over at Lightning, expecting his eyes to still be gold. He was still battling the Darkness, which was why he wore the fabic over his eyes in the first place. He also didn't want Lightning to judge him by their color; if they were still gold, he still had a large amount of Darkness within him.

Lightning was surprised when Riku decided to take off the blindfold, but a part of her was even more surprised when she saw the color of his eyes. "Blue," she said softly, though a smile was quickly forming on her expression. She lifted a hand to Riku's cheek, her eyes dancing over his. It was just like she was thinking earlier! Riku was stronger than before, and it reflected in the eyes that now shown their normal aqua hue. She was so proud of him for having the strength to change like that...She knew that it was far from easy.
Riku blinked in surprise, but a smile formed on his face nonetheless. His eyes were back to their normal color...which meant he no longer had to wear the blindfold. That was...better than good. He hummed softly, his eyes locked onto the pale blue he loved. Now he didn't have to hide behind the blindfold anymore; he could look at Lightning without any restrictions.

Lightning leaned her face closer to Riku's, giving him a small kiss on the lips before she returned to her previous position. She kept her eyes and her hand on his face, not finding any reason to move them. "Good job," she whispered, knowing it wasn't by chance that his eyes were back to their normal color. He worked hard to accomplish this.
Riku lifted a hand to the one on his face, covering it with his larger one as he held it there. "Thanks," he whispered softly. He clearly did something right in this mess, which meant things could obviously get better. He would make sure they did, especially for Lightning. She deserved the best.

Light hummed softly, her faint smile remaining on her lips as she gazed at Riku's eyes. She couldn't help it; she loved seeing that aqua color. She could only think of one time where she saw Riku's gold eyes when he was in his right mind, and that was in Orphan's Cradle. But...even then, it had been nice to see his eyes. Even if they were gold then, she knew that he was her Riku.
