Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"...You have a real heart, and she didn't," Namine realized aloud, looking up towards the sky. Certain facts were coming back now, which startled her. "Even if you were following orders, she knew you would have more to live for once you weren't their tool..." She stopped walking, trying very hard to remember meeting Xion. But the harder she tried, the more her memory was proving to be blank.
Roxas stopped walking a half-second after Namine did, his eyes resting on her briefly before he looked away. "You don't have much of a heart left once you remember killing your best friend," he commented lowly. He wasn't happy about Xion's fate, and that he helped decide it. That was the Organization's plan, wasn't it? For either of them to destroy each other. He remembered Axel stopped them once from doing it earlier on, but in the end it really happened.

Namine's eyes softened, the girl forgetting her search for the memories as she shifted her gaze to Roxas. She didn't know what to say to that. He did kill Xion; he had to in order to survive. And it was what she wanted... Maybe she didn't have a heart in her real life, but maybe she got one after her death. Namine remembered another replica like her who acted like he had a heart, and she believed that he did have a partial one. But he got a real heart after he passed. Maybe Xion did too.
Roxas felt tears well his eyes suddenly as he remembered what she said. "...'It was my choice to go away now,'" he whispered weakly. That was what she said, moments before she died. She said she belonged with Sora....but so did Roxas! Why didn't she get her own life too?!

Namine stepped forward at Roxas's whispered words, her hand finding his back. I'm so sorry... she silently thought, compassion welling up inside of her. Xion was Roxas's best friend, and he had to kill her in order to survive. She was glad that he was alive and here with her, but it was at the cost of somebody that Roxas cared for deeply. Somebody he may have loved.
Roxas lifted his watery eyes to Namine, blinking his blurry vision away. "She looked...just like you," he stated gently, lifting a hand to Namine's cheek. "And Kairi too... But her hair was black instead of blonde or red." He remembered how her short hair was an advantage for her in battle, since she never had to push it away from her face. She was quick and nimble too, and intelligent. More intelligent than he was.

Namine saw a brief vision before her eyes, seeing the girl that Roxas spoke of as he set a hand on her cheek. Xion. She did look like me. Especially Kairi, though. But, Roxas still mistook Namine for her, and he didn't have much reason to then. His head wasn't right then...but his heart seemed true at the time. He gazed at her so...So what? Namine wasn't sure. Lovingly?
Roxas let his hand fall after a second, his fingertips briefly trailing over Namine's skin before he looked away. Another memory appeared in his head, causing him to briefly smile and shake his head. "Man, was she a great fighter too," he said, though a bit sadly. "...She took on Axel twice, though she never won. He was so upset after those fights, and now I understand why." It stunk, having to fight your best friend. At least Axel didn't kill her.

Namine glanced away, thinking. I'm not sure what tense to ask this question in, she thought. ...Did you love her? Or do you still love her? She didn't speak the questions aloud, biting her lip to keep herself silent. She needed to know, but...But she was terrified to hear the answer, since she feared losing Roxas.
Roxas's sadness returned to the surface, his vision blurring as he stared at the path ahead of them. "...But, you reminded me of her when you wore the cloak," he admitted finally. "That was one of the reasons I was seeing her, I think. It triggered memories. But once I left you, they never stopped. I saw everything after a while, and realized that I killed her. She doesn't exist anymore....because of me." Roxas took life away from his best friend, even if she didn't have a real heart. But...he still wouldn't accept that. She had to have had a heart; she was her own person!

"Roxas," Namine finally breathed, unable to stop herself any longer. Her hand finally fell off Roxas's back, her pale blue eyes looking up at him briefly before they looked back down at the ground. "Did you...Do you...love her?" she asked weakly. She already knew that he cared deeply for Xion; he made that apparent. But if he loved her romantically...She didn't know what she would do. Or what Roxas would do. Would he leave her?
Roxas's breath caught audibly in his throat, his eyes turning to Namine. They narrowed in disbelief. "...What?" he asked lowly, unable to comprehend what she just said. He blinked away his blurry vision, though he felt sadness at Namine's accusation. She thought he...loved Xion?

Namine's eyes widened, her moist eyes looking back up to Roxas. "W-what?" she asked, seeing Roxas's reaction to her question. She didn't understand what she said wrong! It was a genuine question, and it wasn't in any way saying Namine doubted that Roxas loved her. She just wanted to know if he loved Xion...and if he loved her more than Namine.
Roxas looked at Namine, studying her expression. "...I'm telling you that I just killed my best friend and you're wondering if I loved her or not?" he asked. How did this fit into the equation? It could in a certain aspect, but he wasn't thinking like that at all! He was sad!
  • Author
"I-I know," Namine stumbled, taking a small step back out of fear that Roxas would get angry. She hadn't meant anything by the question; it was asked with innocence. She knew Roxas was sad over it, but there was something more to it, or so she thought. She couldn't help but remember how he gazed at her when he thought she was Xion...That was a part of this equation too.
Roxas looked away, staring down at the ground. He blinked and a tear managed to escape, in which he only let it get to his chin before wiping his arm over his face. He had tremendous feelings for Xion...he knew that. And he had the same for Namine, if not more. He cared about each of them greatly, but...maybe Namine had a point. Did he...love Xion?

Namine looked away, folding her arms over her chest. "N-nevermind," she said softly. "Forget I said anything." She shouldn't have brought it up. Why did she have to be such an idiot?! He wasn't thinking along the same lines that she was, and she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. It all depended, she supposed, on how he viewed Xion.
"No," Roxas said softly, staring at the ground. "...You're right." He may have actually had...feelings for Xion back then. Now that he thought about it, he cared more than he probably should have. Maybe he did love her, but he loved Namine now. It was a completely different situation.

Namine bit down on her lip, lifting her hands to cover her mouth as she looked down at the ground. That's not exactly what I wanted to hear... she thought, feeling her eyes get a little more moist. She had a point about Roxas loving Xion...It wasn't something that she completely made up in her head because she was paranoid about losing Roxas. That wasn't comforting.
"I..." Roxas started, though he stopped himself. How could this possibly go? Honestly, he could only imagine it going downhill from here. But...what was he supposed to do? He couldn't lie! He closed his eyes and sighed, shoulders slumping a little. "I think...I may have viewed her as more than a friend, if I really remember. But...what good would those feelings do me now? She's dead..." There isn't any possible way for me to love her anyway.
  • Author
"But...when you thought that she was alive, and you looked at me like you would have looked at her..." Namine whispered, not facing Roxas as she kept her hands to her lips. "...You really, really cared, Roxas. Those feelings are alive, whether she is or not." So it wasn't a matter of tense; either Roxas loved her or he didn't. And if he did love her, then he still loved her now.
"...It was before I met you," Roxas told Namine weakly. "I don't...I don't know what could have happened if she was still here, okay? I just know that I love you now, Namine." He could only hope that was enough, but...maybe it wasn't. Once again, he screwed things up. It's always me.

"I love you too, Roxas," Namine said softly without looking over at him. "But...I want to make sure that you're not just...settling for me, because you know somebody you loved more is unavailable." Her heart ached at the thought of that situation, one that could very well be reality. If he loved her more and only stuck with Namine because he couldn't have Xion...That would hurt, a lot.
Roxas squeezed his eyes shut, tears threatening to leave them. Really, Namine? "...You really think that lowly of me?" he asked softly. The words she spoke engraved a wound in his heart that would take a long time to heal. How could Namine think like that?
  • Author
"W-what? No, I didn't mean anything like that..." Namine stuttered, eyes wide as she glanced over at Roxas. She hadn't meant anything bad with that, honestly! "I swear, I didn't...." The blonde bit down heavy on her lip, turning away as moisture gathered behind her eyelids. Nevermind. I should just keep my mouth shut now.
