Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas turned his head, looking over at Namine with watery blue eyes. "...I have more with you than I could have dreamed of, Namine," he told her gently. "Xion... I wasn't even close." He shook his head slightly, glancing at the ground. True, he never got the chance to be with Xion, but would he have ever gotten the guts to? It was fate that he met Namine that day in the virtual Twilight Town. She saved him...

Namine looked over at Roxas, her pale blue eyes nearly leaking tears at his words. You really mean that...? her eyes asked, her lip trembling as she tried to hold back her tears. She didn't know what to say. Roxas cared for her more than he cared for Xion....she was the girl that he wanted to spend his life with.
Roxas looked up to see the expression in Namine's eyes, as well as the tears, which caused him to look away. He never liked to see that. "...It was fate that I met both of you, and destiny that I developed feelings for both of you," he acknowledged, eyebrows furrowing. "But...this must have been fate too. I wasn't supposed to...be with Xion. Not in this way." And not in any way, either. Namine was his soulmate, that was clear.

Namine lowered her hands from her mouth, holding them together a little below and in front of her chin. "Roxas..." she said softly. She didn't know what to say. The tears in her eyes remained, though relief flooded her heart. She wanted to be with Roxas, even if he did have such strong feelings for someone in the past. She loved him, and she always would. That was why she wanted him by her side.
Roxas shook his head, staring at the ground. "...I love you so much," he told the person beside him. "I really do. But I loved Xion too, and look what happened to her..." He looked at Namine with terrified eyes. "I don't want to be the death of you...not like I was to her." Xion's face appeared in his mind again, as well as her battle wounds. He destroyed her. He ground his teeth together to keep his lip from quivering, hating to be so emotional. But...he missed his best friend, someone he loved. He killed her.

"Roxas," Namine breathed. She stepped closer to him, setting both her hands on his cheeks as she looked at him through moist eyes. "You won't. You have no reason to..." The two of them could never have a physical brawl against each other. Xion was a warrior like Roxas was, and Namine wasn't at that level. And Roxas wouldn't kill her in cold blood, or even hurt her. He loved her too much to.
"I didn't think I had a reason then either," Roxas said, his voice trembling slightly as he gazed down at Namine. "But I did... She came at me and I had no choice, and I... And I..." He looked away, breathless at the memories flooding his mind, the image of his best friend--his first love--dying at his hands and in his arms. Roxas closed his eyes, tears finally escaping. "...I destroyed her, Namine," he sobbed. "I killed her!"

Namine's eyes widened at Roxas's sobs, and instinct took over. Her hands left his face as her arms wrapped around him, one of her hands finding the back of his head. It was okay for him to cry...He was sad, and scared. But he didn't have reason for the latter; things were different now. They would never be pinned against each other. He wouldn't have to attack her...
Roxas felt his body shake with quiet sobs, his eyes closed as he embraced Namine tightly. "I didn't mean to. I swear I didn't," he confessed, voice trembling with sobs as he cried into Namine's shoulder. He hated breaking down, but he couldn't keep this heartbreak in anymore. It was killing him inside.

Namine rubbed Roxas's back, pressing the side of her head against Roxas's as she held him. I know, she thought, keeping silent instead of saying the words aloud. Roxas didn't need to hear her right now; he just needed to get this out. But hearing his heartbreak...It was breaking her heart as well. Namine shut her eyes, a tear leaking out of one. I'm so sorry...
Roxas sucked in a breath before releasing another shaky sob. "She was her own person too," he said weakly. "I don't get why she didn't have a heart of her own either..." It was unfair. And he took her life away from her. How could he?

Namine only continued rubbing Roxas's back, knowing her answer wouldn't be received well anyway. She wasn't a Somebody or a Nobody, she thought. She didn't even have a chance to get a real heart...Not while she was still just a replica. But maybe she had a real heart now, wherever she was. That was what Namine hoped.
Roxas sniffled, though tears still leaked from his closed eyes as he turned his head to bury his face in Namine's hair. "I'm sorry..." he muttered weakly. But he wasn't only speaking to Namine; he was also speaking to Xion, if there was any way she could hear him. He was terrified of hurting Namine too, and he was sure that showed when he pulled her even closer, clutching her body to his.

Namine shushed Roxas gently at the apology, one of her hands still on the back of his head. "It's okay," she whispered gently. Whatever he was apologizing for, it was okay. It was okay for him to cry in front of her, and it was okay that he loved Xion. She still loved him despite that, and she would stick with him. ...She would mourn Xion too.
Roxas shook his head softly, disagreeing. No, it's not. It's not okay. He was a monster, one who could barely remember the raven-haired girl he had fallen in love with at the time before she reminded him...minutes before she died. How could Namine love someone like him?
  • Author
Namine wasn't sure what the apology was for, so she didn't know how to respond to Roxas shaking his head. Still, she spoke what was on her heart. "It is okay," she said softly in his ear. "I'm gonna stay with you, okay? You don't have to face this alone..." The grief, the guilt, or the sorrow. She would be by his side through it all.
Roxas released a small sob before pulling back slightly, sniffling. His blue eyes locked onto a blurry version of Namine in front of him, his hands still pressed against her back. "...I love you," he declared shakily. He could never hurt her...ever. Especially physically. If he ever did that, he would allow himself to drift into Darkness and disappear forever. He couldn't live with himself if he hurt Namine as severely as he did Xion.

Namine's moist eyes locked onto Roxas's, the girl gazing at his bright blue eyes as they remained in close proximity. "I love you too," she whispered. I always will. She would prove it to him. She wouldn't let him face this grief by himself. Even if she would have to get used to the idea that he loved somebody before he met her, she would support him.
Roxas closed his eyes again, his wet lashes touching his cold cheeks. He knew they were damp with so many tears being shed, but he didn't care. He was just glad no one was around to witness this; nobody but Namine. He trusted her with his life, and with his secrets. She wouldn't say anything about this--him crying or his past mistakes. It would all remain a secret between the two of them.

Namine gently moved her hand off Roxas's head and onto his cheek, her thumb wiping at his tears. She rarely saw him cry, and especially not to this degree. But it was okay. She was glad that she was here for him when he needed her. The only thing she wished now was that she could help more somehow...and take away this sorrow completely.
Roxas pressed the palms of his hands into Namine's back more, keeping her close as he let her touch his face. Her hands were warm against his colder cheeks, the tears the cause of that. He was upset that it came to this, him sobbing and mourning Xion's death in front of Namine. It wasn't right, that she was comforting him over the loss of someone he once loved.

Namine's hand moved to Roxas's shoulder when she felt like she wiped all the tears that she could, her other hand remaining around his back. She turned her head and let it rest on his shoulder, her eyes shutting as she exhaled a soft breath. She didn't know what to do...She wished that she could help somehow.
Roxas encircled his arms around Namine a little more, gently squeezing her as he looked at the castle not too far off. "...You're willing to stay with a monster?" he asked weakly. He wasn't proud of his past; well, parts of it. He was proud of the moments when he saved Namine from harm and was there for her when she needed him. But still...

Namine lifted her head, looking at Roxas with gentle eyes. "You're not a monster, sweetie," she said gently. He wasn't.... He hadn't meant for all that to happen with Xion. He was innocent because he didn't know what he was doing. He was still the same Roxas as he always was, even if he was just now remembering something from his past.
Roxas gazed at Namine with wonder, unbelieving of how she could see past his mistakes. She must really have loved him in order to do that, but it was still hard to believe. He killed somebody he valued in his past. Wasn't Namine afraid of the same thing happening to her?
