Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I hope you all consider the option in front of you, for it is the only one I believe that will help in this war," Retlaw finished, nodding to the people in front of him. "That is all." He pushed himself away from the table and to his feet, smiling faintly in encouragement before leaving the room. It was their choice now; he gave them an option.

Ven watched Master Retlaw leave, the door shutting behind him. He glanced around the table, seeing that everyone was remaining silent. Somebody had to break the silence though, so he figured that he may as well do it and get it over with. "I think we should do it," he said as he looked around. He noticed at least Sora nod in agreement. He wasn't surprised; he and Sora often thought the same way.
Riku was still slightly suspicious, but... "It looks like it's our only option," he agreed softly. He didn't see any other way around Master Xehanort than to use the heart of all worlds as their ally. "...I guess I'm in." He would do it with hopes of Kingdom Hearts gracing them with allies, and not enemies.

"Riku's right," King Mickey said. "It's our only choice right now." The Organization, and the Somebodies and Heartless connected to it, could act up at any time. They were already fairing badly enough against Xehanort, his remnants, and Vanitas. They needed all the help that they could get. "We should take a vote."
Master Eraqus nodded to the King, his eyes darting over everyone at the table. "All in favor, raise your hand," he said. He lifted his slightly above his head, even though he still had his doubts. However, this could work, and it was their only chance to take down Xehanort. He noticed Riku, Kairi, and Roxas raise their hands seconds after he did. Clearly they were in favor of Retlaw's suggestion.

Lightning kept her hands down on the table in front of her, though she noticed that Ven, Sora, King Mickey, Namine, and Terra all raised their hands. She wasn't surprised at it, though she was a little surprised that Riku raised his. Didn't he sense anything off about this guy? He just didn't sit well with her, and neither did this plan of his. She didn't trust him.
Aqua realized that she and Lightning were the only two who didn't agree with this plan, which somehow didn't surprise her. She watched as Master Eraqus nodded to everyone, though she felt a few gazes dart in her and Lightning's direction. "...So it's decided?" she asked, her eyes finding her friends. "You three will be asking Kingdom Hearts for its assistance?" She directed the question toward Sora, Riku, and King Mickey, since they were the three who had the main role to play.

"Yeah," Sora said with a small nod, speaking for the three of them. They would go to Kingdom Hearts, and hope that it would return the souls of the people who fought in the Keyblade War. It was risky, but they were desperate. They needed allies to help them defeat Xehanort and any other force of evil out there, before things got bad again. They couldn't all be separated again.
Riku looked to Sora before his eyes focused on the table, the young man leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. "It's best we do that than nothing," he commented. "We've had close encounters already, and nearly lost multiple people. If this is our only choice, I'm following through with it." He didn't want to lose Lightning to Ansem, or himself... And they nearly lost Roxas and Namine to Xemnas, and Kairi too. There was too much hurt and not enough saving.

It isn't our only option, Lightning thought, eyebrows furrowed as she stared down at the table. She brought up an idea before, about recruiting Sora's past allies from various worlds. But King Mickey wouldn't allow it; he said that it would disturb the balance of the worlds. How was this plan any better though? Just because the people were Keyblade wielders, they could fight a battle for the worlds. It wasn't fair. You didn't need to be a Keyblade wielder to fight this fight.
"So...should someone go tell Master Retlaw?" Kairi asked softly, looking at each of her friends. They needed to prepare for this fight as much as they could before leaving. Once Master Xehanort found out about this...it wouldn't be easy.

"I'll go," King Mickey said. "I have some questions I wanna ask anyway." He pushed himself out of his seat and exited the room to speak to Master Retlaw, wondering exactly how this was gonna work. It would need to be done quickly and done right; they couldn't have Master Xehanort finding out about their attempts and stopping them.
While King Mickey left the room, Aqua pushed herself up from her seat, her hands resting on the table. "Master Eraqus," she called. "May I speak with you in private?" The man nodded to her before rising, and she turned away from the table to approach the door to exit. She had her doubts in this whole scenario, and she wasn't comfortable that so many people weren't questioning it.

Light noticed that others who were closer to the door were also getting up and leaving, probably to get ready for their next plan of action. The soldier wasn't sure what to do; did she try to talk to Riku about her concerns, or Aqua, since she apparently didn't like this plan either? She decided on the latter. She rose out of her seat and started towards the door, planning on waiting for Aqua to finish speaking to her Master before she spoke to her.

Aqua stepped outside onto one of the balconies in the castle, Master Eraqus joining her a few seconds later. His eyes seemed to question her reason behind bringing him here, so she spoke. "Master, I don't think Master Retlaw is completely reliable," she voiced.

"Why do you question him, Aqua?" Eraqus asked, eyebrows furrowing as he gazed at his former student. Her discomfort was obvious moments before, but now that she was clearly expressing it, he was lost at her reasons why.

"Sir," Aqua started, pressing a hand on the stone balcony barrier, her eyes moving downcast. "If he were truly reliable, he wouldn't have waited to be found. He could have come to us if he knew how much Darkness threatened our worlds. But he didn't, and that's what makes me question his true intentions. I don't believe he should be trusted."

Lightning stopped in the hall outside the balcony, a fair distance between her and the two Masters as she remained out of sight. She wasn't trying to eavesdrop; she was just waiting for Aqua to be available. But hearing her concerns comforted Lightning; they were thinking along the same lines. Lightning didn't doubt some of the fact he provided, like Riku, Sora, and King Mickey being required to tap into Kingdom Hearts' power. But she did question what Retlaw would get out of this. He was hiding something...

"I have heard nothing but good of the man," Eraqus assured the woman, shaking his head slightly. "While I see the reasons behind your doubt, I must assure you that he can be trusted. He has willingly accepted out invitation for help."

"Maybe so," Aqua said, lifting her eyes to her Master. They narrowed in suspicion. "But what are his true intentions, Master Eraqus? Perhaps you did hear praise of his character, but why haven't we heard anything of him until now?" She shook her head, eyebrows furrowing. "There's something going on here, sir. I just know it."

You're right, Lightning thought silently, arms folded across her chest as she put a foot on the wall behind her. Something's going on. She would have stepped out and joined the conversation, but Master Eraqus despised her; it wouldn't do Aqua any favors if he knew Lightning had the same theory. She would wait until they were done speaking, then approach Aqua. They would have to work together to figure out what Master Retlaw wanted here.

"Aqua," Eraqus said. He stepped forward, setting his hands on her slim shoulders. "Relax. The man is doing a good deed in assisting us. He has given us a way to defeat Master Xehanort and his army. It's time we thanked him by following through with his idea." He watched her look away, in which he only smiled weakly. "I'll be in the training room assisting Terra. If you still have your doubts, seek his thoughts."

Aqua watched Eraqus go, and once he was out of hearing range, she sighed. She turned her body towards the world outside her home, leaning against the balcony wall. Why didn't her Master believe her? This wasn't just a hunch; it was something her heart was telling her...

Lightning heard Master Eraqus walk down another hall, and she was glad that he didn't come this way and find out that she was eavesdropping. She pushed herself off the wall and walked to where Aqua still was standing, the soldier stopping in the doorway. "You don't trust him either, huh?" she said, though she already knew the answer to that. Aqua still distrusted him, despite all that Master Eraqus said to try to sway her.
Aqua shook her head. "Not a bit," she said, turning around to face Lightning. She was slightly surprised to see that Riku was absent; the two had been attached at the hip from the beginning. "He's too suspicious. I have a feeling he wants something out of this..." Something they wouldn't be able to control once the hearts were released. It was a fear of hers.

Lightning walked forward to stand out on the balcony as well, her hands finding the stone wall that was to her waist. "Probably Kingdom Hearts," she said with a slight shrug, overlooking the area. Every person of power seemed to lust for Kingdom Hearts, and the fact that Master Retlaw had them going right for it seemed too convenient for him. What did he want from it? Power?
The assumption reminded Aqua of Riku's question during the meeting moments ago. "Riku asked if all the hearts would return to those who would fight for the Light," she reminded her friend. "It seems that Master Retlaw's heart is traveling a different path." He was one of the Darkness, wasn't he? "His act is a facade. It has to be." He wasn't on their side, was he?

"Nobody will believe that though," Lightning said, eyebrows furrowed. "They'll just think we're seeing things. We need Retlaw to incriminate himself." But...but how would they do that? Retlaw already won over the trust of everyone else, and his charade was a good one. There was no way that Lightning could think of to trap him in some sort of lie. Especially not when things were moving so quickly with his plan.
Aqua felt her eyebrows furrow automatically at the idea, though she didn't say anything right away. Who could they ask for some answers? The King was already here, and wouldn't believe them. But... "Master Yen Sid," she muttered. She could go to him! Even if he was Master Retlaw's brother, he would know the most about him. "He should have some answers. He knows Master Retlaw best."
