Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning nodded faintly, looking over at Aqua. "Go talk to him," she said. "I'll keep an eye on things here." She would make sure that Retlaw didn't do anything to hurt anyone. But if he did, then it would serve as evidence that he was not who he claimed to be. While Aqua was gone, Lightning would speak to Riku. He had to be on her side, at least.
"Mm," Aqua hummed with a small nod, her eyes on Lightning for a moment before she turned. She left the balcony and started down the hall, knowing she would have to sneak away. If her friends found out about her question Retlaw's character, they wouldn't be pleased.

Light watched Aqua walk away, the young woman standing on the balcony a moment longer. Which way had Riku been going after the meeting again? It was the opposite of this direction, so she would have to at least walk that way to find him. She turned around and walked, hoping to find him sooner rather than later. They needed to talk.
Riku was currently talking to Sora and Kairi, catching up. They hadn't actually been in the same room since talking to the King, and that hadn't been the best reunion. He placed a hand on Kairi's shoulder as she giggled, a smile on his face. They were going to make things right again, that way she would be safe--as would Namine. He heard of what happened to the blond, and being protective of her already, he was furious. But she was okay, and they all would be once Xehanort was gone for good.

Lightning walked down a hall and heard Sora's laugh, and that was when she remembered that Riku walked off with him and Kairi. The door to the room was open, so Light stepped into the doorway and saw the three of them sitting on couches. All of them were smiling...even Riku. That was about to be ruined. She gazed at him from her spot, eyes as serious as ever.
Riku was turned toward his friends on the couch, leaning against the corner where the back met the armrest, his smile still in tact as he gazed at his friends. But then he felt a gaze on him, and he turned his head to look over his shoulder. Lightning? he wondered instantly, seeing the look on her face. It made his eyebrows furrow, his smile disappearing. He pushed himself up from his seat while Sora and Kairi continued to chat, leaving the fiances to talk.

Light motioned for Riku to walk with her, the soldier unfolding her arms from over her chest as she waited for him to get closer. When he was a step or two away, she turned and walked out of the room. She hated interrupting his time with Sora and Kairi, but this was serious. Did he really think that the threat was going to disappear now? If anything, it was going to increase.
Riku lifted an eyebrow in curiosity, but followed Lightning nonetheless. He walked only a step or two behind her as he followed her through the halls, wondering where she was taking him to talk. It was obvious that was what they were going to do; she was uncomfortable with something.

Light slowed her steps so she was beside Riku, figuring that the two of them could just talk in the hall. Actually, it would be better to stop for this. She stopped herself and shifted her gaze to Riku, figuring that he was curious by now as to what was going on. It was best to just spit it out. "...You don't see anything suspicious about this guy?" she asked him lowly.
Riku stopped, facing Lightning as he gave her a look. "That's what this is about?" he asked. Retlaw was who was causing her uncertainty? He wasn't exactly sure why; the guy seemed perfectly fine to him. There was no Darkness about him, from what Riku could tell.

Lightning's eyebrows furrowed at Riku's response. It implied that this wasn't a big deal, but it was. And not just to her. "I'll take that as a 'no'," she said, leaning her back against the wall. Riku didn't sense anything off about Retlaw...She was a little surprised. Normally whenever she had a hunch, Riku had a similar one.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a bit more. "I think you're being too uptight with this," he admitted with a small shake of his head. "The guy's Master Yen Sid's brother, and he's more kind than Master Yen Sid himself. He's helping us..." How was that suspicious?
  • Author
"Helping us, or helping himself?" Lightning asked with an arched brow. She didn't bother waiting for an answer. "...I don't like him, Riku. If he really cares about the worlds, why didn't he come forward with this 'solution' sooner?" It wasn't like Sora and Kairi found him as a captive or anything; he was living a normal life on one of the worlds. He could have come and found them if he really wanted to help. But he didn't for some reason.
Riku opened his mouth to reply, but he couldn't form words. He lifted a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, his eyes closing as he sighed. "You really are thinking too much into this," he told her softly. Why couldn't Lightning just be happy they had help?

"Am I?" Lightning challenged, seeing how Riku didn't have an answer. Despite that, he was still disregarding a possible threat. "It seems to me like you're not thinking hard enough. You're ignoring the questions this guy's presence raises." She knew Riku was eager for peace, but they weren't going to achieve peace by trusting some stranger who had all the answers.
"His presence doesn't raise anything," Riku replied, lowering his hand and opening his eyes. His gaze locked onto Lightning's as he took a small step closer, placing his hands on her upper arms gently. "Light, I can't sense any Darkness coming from him. It was the first thing I did when he showed up, but there's nothing. He's clean." If he wasn't from the Darkness, then he was on their side. Riku's lack of evidence was proof enough.

"Not all people in the Light are angels, Riku," Lightning said lowly, eyebrows still furrowed as she stared into Riku's eyes. She figured that he probably wasn't in the Darkness, but...something was just off about this guy. Clearly Riku wasn't buying it though. In that case, she'd have to do some digging on her own. She wouldn't talk to anybody else about this.
"I never said they were," Riku reasoned with a small shake of his head. "Everyone has their faults, and Master Retlaw's is the fact that he neglected coming to us. But he's here now, which is what matters." The young man gazed at the woman he loved gently, then leaning forward and placing a small kiss on her cheek. "Have some faith, and relax. This'll be over before you know it." He ran his hands along Lightning's upper arms briefly before releasing her, turning to go back the way they came. She was too uptight; she needed to relax and have some faith.

Lightning watched Riku walk away, her eyebrows furrowed. He wasn't even going to look into her theory, at all. He was too eager for the conflict to end; he was getting lazy with looking for threats. That was why Light had to be even more on guard. She tsked in disgust before she pushed herself off the wall and started in the opposite direction. It was time to do some spying.
Aqua walked up the few small flights of stairs to reach the training room, where she and Terra had their Mark of Mastery Exam. She needed to see him before she left, just because they hadn't been able to have a real reunion; everyone went straight to the conference room as soon as they arrived, so chatting was limited. But...she needed to seek his advice before she talked to Master Yen Sid about Retlaw. Her other reasoning was simply that she missed him.

Terra pressed his Keyblade against Master Eraqus's when they clashed, the young man pushing off hard enough to jump back. This reminded him so much of his Mark of Mastery Exam against Aqua, especially since it was in this room. But he was fighting his Master for another reason; Master Eraqus knew that fighting would bring out the true colors of his heart. So far, it wasn't good. He nearly relied on the Darkness once already.
Aqua stayed out of range, watching as Master Eraqus told Terra to focus on his Light and use that as leverage in battle. But what was Terra's Light? She could tell he wasn't doing so well, but...she had faith that he would be alright soon enough. He just needed time.
  • Author
Master, you know my Light isn't strong enough that I can do that, Terra thought, though he nodded to Master Eraqus's words. There was no point arguing; Master Eraqus believed that Light was the only good source of power. He couldn't tell him that he was considering using his Darkness as a weapon rather than his Light. He would be heartbroken. Sensing a gaze on him, he shifted his gaze to another part of the room and saw Aqua was there.
Aqua nodded to Terra upon meeting his gaze. "Focus," she mouthed in encouragement. He could do this; he just needed to concentrate. She would let Master Eraqus train Terra a little bit longer before she stepped in; she needed to leave soon.
  • Author
Terra nodded slightly to Aqua, eyebrows furrowing as he looked back at Master Eraqus. Okay. He knew that he was the one who would initiate battle again, so he did. All that he could do was hope that he had enough strength to do some good without the Darkness interfering. If Master Eraqus didn't think he was good enough, he would ship him back to Disney Castle.
