Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Master Eraqus watched his former student sprint towards him, and he set his footing to prepare for the attack. He had faith in his son's abilities; he just had to find that source of power in his heart. He could do it, Eraqus knew he could.

Terra clashed blades with his Master for a few more minutes, able to prove that he was at least still a decent swordsman. But he was drawing power from the wrong place. He jumped back again, curling his left hand that was seething with Darkness behind his back as he calmed down. The Darkness wanted to be used in battle, just like when he fought Aqua and she became a Master.

Aqua saw what was happening, and that Master Eraqus wasn't planning on stopping. "Master Eraqus!" she called, halting her Master's movements as he looked toward her. "...May I have a moment with Terra? Please?" Eraqus looked at her for a moment before his eyes darted to Terra. He nodded and allowed his Keyblade to disappear, starting towards Aqua as she walked to Terra.

Eraqus stopped Aqua with a hand on her shoulder, speaking quietly so only she could hear. "...His Darkness is threatening his well-being," he whispered. "He has yet to learn to control it. Speak with him."

Aqua blinked at the words, though she did nod. Eraqus left her to speak with Terra, and she approached him quietly. He seemed a little disturbed, but she would try to ease that if she could. She had to say goodbye for a while.

Terra kept his hand behind his back, though his Keyblade disappeared from his other hand. His bright blue eyes found Aqua, who seemed to be here for more than just a casual visit. "...Everything okay?" he asked, sensing the Darkness fade. He was glad for that, unsure as to whether or not Aqua saw what nearly happened. If he lost control and unleashed an attack of Darkness...It could have been bad.
Aqua lowered her gaze briefly to the ground as she pondered what to tell Terra, but ultimately she decided to speak the truth. She shook her head slightly, stopping in front of him as she looked up at him. Things weren't okay, at least to her and Lightning. Because of that, she needed to leave.

Terra blinked, eyes softening. He had a feeling that was the case. "What's up?" he asked softly, his breathing calming from the fight that he just had. He was more focused on Aqua though; she wasn't very easily troubled. He had no idea what this could have been about, either. Sure, she didn't vote in the meeting, but he didn't think it was that big of a deal.
Aqua hesitated a moment before speaking. "...I have a feeling Master Retlaw isn't who he makes himself out to be," she explained softly. "Something's just...not right." She couldn't say for sure, but it was just a feeling she had.

Terra's eyebrows furrowed more deeply. "...But he's Master Yen Sid's brother," he said in seriousness. "Master Yen Sid wouldn't tell us to track him down if he was going to lead us into trouble." Or, if he did lead them into trouble, Master Yen Sid would have warned them about that chance. Since they didn't get any warnings like that, Terra thought it was safe to assume Master Retlaw was a good guy.
"I know," Aqua said with a small sigh, looking away. "I know that... It's just..." She lifted her gaze to Terra, worried. "I don't want us walking into a trap. I feel like there's more behind this than Master Retlaw is leading on." She wouldn't worry over nothing; everyone knew that. Something was going on.

"Mm," Terra hummed with a small nod. He lifted a hand and set it on Aqua's shoulder, his eyes sincere. "Do what you need to so that you're comfortable with Master Retlaw's assistance. I don't see anything alarming about him, but I know that won't convince you to change your mind." Aqua was pretty stubborn, not that that was always a bad thing.
Aqua smiled faintly, appreciating Terra's understanding nature. She lifted a hand to touch the arm that was outstretched towards her, her fingers resting on his skin. Master Retlaw aside, she missed him greatly. How long had it been since they even talked to each other?

Terra smiled faintly, squeezing Aqua's shoulder. "What are you gonna do?" he asked softly, referring to Master Retlaw. She probably had something in mind other than speaking to him about it; she didn't seem overly disappointed that he didn't share her hunches about the man. Aqua wouldn't be reckless, would she?
"I'm going to speak with Master Yen Sid personally," Aqua revealed, lowering her eyes to Terra's chest. "I'm hoping he can give me some answers about his brother..." She wasn't sure what he would say, or if he would speak about him at all, but it was worth a shot. "I came to say goodbye, at least for a little while." She would be back soon.

Terra's smile faded, though he nodded in seriousness. "I don't know if I'll be here when you get back," he revealed lowly. He looked across the room, where his Master normally sat. "...I don't think Master Eraqus is going to let me fight yet." Honestly, it didn't take a genius to see that. His Master was disappointed with his progress thus far.
Aqua looked up at Terra then, her eyes suddenly soft with concern. "...He's so bent on you using the Light," she admitted, gazing at the man she loved before lowering her gaze to his chest again. "Riku uses his Darkness to help him in battle. Maybe...you could do the same." Her eyebrows furrowed at the thought, realizing that Terra would have to be able to control his Darkness in order to do that. Could he?

"I've thought about that," Terra confessed, keeping his voice soft in case Master Eraqus was near enough to overhear. "But Master Eraqus is positive that I can't fight Xehanort's Darkness with my own. Darkness against Darkness would be self-destructive." He was saying Master Eraqus's words, not his own. He knew what his Master believed, but he wasn't sure what his opinion was. He needed to reach one, quickly.
Aqua wasn't sure how to argue that, though she did think of Riku once again. He fought off Ansem with his Darkness, and it was Darkness against Darkness then too. Riku and Terra were similar in many ways, but what about this? Could Terra take after his successor?

Terra shook his head softly, leaning forward and giving Aqua a kiss on her forehead. "Don't worry about it," he said softly. "I'll get it figured out." In the mean time, he was sure that Master Eraqus would continue testing him to see if he was fit for this battle. He hoped he was, but he knew his Master had different standards than he did. And he couldn't very well speak against the man he annihilated.
Aqua nodded slightly, looking up at Terra for a moment. He was so strong, so brave. Those were two of the many things she loved about him. The young woman stepped forward, wrapping her arms around Terra's back as she let her head rest on his shoulder, facing him. It had been too long since she hugged him, at least in her book. She missed their interactions.

Terra wrapped his arms around Aqua in return, his eyes shutting as his head lowered to be closer to hers. Love you, he thought silently. He knew that the two of them weren't clingy to each other like other couples were, but that didn't diminish their bond. They were best friends above all else, but their love was deep. It always would be.
Aqua took in the way Terra's arms encircled her form, loving how secure she felt in his hold. "...I admire your strength," she whispered gently. Throughout this whole thing, he hadn't given up once. She wished she could say the same thing, though there was a point where she let her ideas be walked on and destroyed. Nobody had been willing to work together then, unfortunately, but thankfully that had all changed.

"And I admire yours," Terra whispered, giving Aqua a small squeeze. She thought he was strong right now? He didn't feel it. He wasn't strong enough to stand up for his beliefs, not like she was. He wished that he could do that, but right now, he couldn't. He would follow the path set before him by Master Eraqus out of guilt because he ended his Master's life so long ago.
Aqua smiled faintly, lifting her head to look up at the man she loved. "Thank you," she whispered gently. She didn't think she was really that strong; she was more stubborn than anything, even she would admit that. But she appreciated his words nonetheless.

"Mm," Terra hummed with a small nod and a faint smile, his embrace around Aqua loosening. You're welcome. Whether she knew it or not, she changed lately. Before she was letting Master Eraqus give all the orders, but now, she was finally taking the initiative. He was proud of her for that.
Aqua pulled away slightly, though not completely. She lifted a hand to rest on Terra's cheek, her fingertips in his dark hair as she gazed at him. One of these days, things would be alright again, and they could be happy...together. She would try to make that happen, since she missed the smallest of smiles on Terra's face at that moment. She wanted to see more of them in the future.
