Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Aqua watched with steady eyes as the two warriors began their battle, her eyebrows furrowing as she studied most of Kain's movements. He was very quick on his feet, but he also seemed to use his head to do the battling; she'd never seen someone so patient in a fight before. It was intriguing.

It's like a dance, Lightning realized halfway through the fight, in the middle of aerial combat with Kain. He liked the skies for some reason. But he was fighting in a similar style to her own. It was very strategic, very patient. He wasn't pulling any risky moves that would compromise his own safety, and she wasn't either. Neither of them were really getting a hit on each other, until... The soldier's eyes widened as she lifted her sword vertically in front of her, Kain's weapon hitting it hard. Her gunblade glowed with a bright white light as it transformed into a weapon that Lightning only held in one battle before, against Caius. She was knocked back down onto the ground and onto her back with a thud, a lot of dust rising up as a bright light also appeared around her and transformed her normal clothing to Etro's armor.
Riku blinked in shock, eyes widening slightly as he gazed at the person he loved. That armor again... He never did understand where it came from. And the weapon must have been part of the ensemble. But...why was it showing up now?

Lightning saw Kain coming down, his Keyblade prepared to stab her where she lay. Clearly he wasn't going easy. She rolled out of the way quickly, getting back up on her feet as she held her gunblade with both hands in front of her. It was random that she transformed to this, but she felt Etro's power flowing through her now more than before. She would utilize it. Kain rushed at her and she summoned the power of Light, her gunblade glowing with it as she swung at Kain and knocked him back hard enough for him to land on his back. But he was quickly back onto his feet. We're equals, aren't we?
Eraqus had never had the chance to watch Lightning battle another warrior, but now that he did, he was taking full advantage of it. He studied her movements, paying particular attention to how she used the Light to her advantage. Her transformation was obviously essential for its use, something he had never witnessed before.

Lightning and Kain tested each other more, their dance continuing at a faster, more dangerous pace now that Lightning utilized her power completely. Both of them actually took harder hits than they should have for just a match to prove Lightning's strength. But now it was time to end this. Right up in front of Kain, she managed to get her sword across his throat. Just as she managed to accomplish this, he did the same with her. She panted a breath, hearing his low breathing as well as they kept each other against their blades. It was truly a draw.
Riku crossed his arms, eyebrows furrowed as he saw the ending to the fight. He wasn't pleased that Lightning took so many hard hits, but he couldn't be overprotective; she was a soldier, after all. He had to fight her himself recently, something he never liked to think about. But just like the memory, this moment was reality. None of them could deny it.

"Alright, I've seen enough," Gregory, the Keyblade warrior of Light, said, shifting his gaze from Lightning and Kain to the rest of her allies. "...I retract my earlier statement." She was as strong as a Keyblade wielder, and Kain of all warriors. Though Gregory was not on his side, he had to admit that the man's skills were legendary. Still, he wondered why Kain and Lightning kept their blades against each others' neck and just stared at each other. It was peculiar.

Riku glanced over at the warrior of Light at his words, though he then looked to Lightning. Nobody moved in the crowd, nor did Kain or the person Riku loved. His eyebrows pulled closer together. "Light," he called. She could ease up; the fight was over.

Lightning broke her gaze away from Kain's, the soldier having finally caught a glimpse of his eyes when they were so close and still. They were purple. Something about that startled her, but not out of fear. She knew those eyes. And the fighting style was so familiar to her, too. Regardless, she lowered her blade and he lowered his. They stared at each other only a millisecond longer before Lightning turned and walked back to where she was before, by Riku's side.
"All right," Aqua said, her hand leaving her hip as she looked at the people in front of her and to her sides. "Now that you have your proof, we'll take a moment to discuss strategy with Lightning. We'll make an announcement when the plan is clear." She turned her attention to the soldier as warriors talked amongst themselves. They needed to at least come up with something, whether it was huge or not.

Lightning noticed a group of her friends start walking a few yards away from the other warriors, the three leaders also following. She would focus on her thoughts about Kain later, not that there was much to think about. Her mind was playing tricks on her; she couldn't have met him. Right now, she had to focus on strategy. She had to think of one to suit an army this large...And to face Xehanort's. He was unpredictable, so they'd have to come up with a few scenarios.
Riku turned his head to look down at his shorter lover, arms still crossed over his chest. "We'll help you brainstorm," he offered gently. He didn't want her to try it all herself, especially under so much pressure. There were hundreds of warriors on their side now, after all.

Lightning nodded faintly, snapping out of her thoughts briefly to see Riku was the only one still standing by her. "I already have some ideas," she said, glancing at the warriors before she looked back to the group that was forming and waiting for her and Riku to join. She started over towards them, hearing her armor clanking faintly as she walked. Her sword was gone, for now, but the armor lingered for some reason. It didn't matter; she wasn't focused on it.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed once again, his arms falling to his sides as he followed Lightning's lead. Whatever her plans were, he was ready to hear them. He was sure they were detailed; she favored specifics, from what he gathered. So did he. There were no room for mistakes.

Light joined the group, seeing a few eyes on her. She figured it was best to get down to business right away. "Thus far, we haven't had much time for strategy," she said, mostly to the three newcomers. "Master Xehanort manipulated us so that we were torn apart, and we just recently all joined together again. More than likely, he will believe that we'll try to stay together this time. Which is exactly why we need to divide our forces." She knew Master Eraqus probably wouldn't be in favor of what she was implying, but it wasn't what he thought it was. Not all of them were splitting up.
"How so?" Roxas asked, eyebrows pulled together over his blue eyes. Dividing forces made sense, but which forces? They had wielders of Light, Twilight, and Nothingness on their side, as well as themselves. How did Lightning plan to separate everyone?

"If we come at Master Xehanort with our full forces all at once, he would unleash Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed all at the same time," Lightning explained, leading up to her answer to Roxas's question. "We need him to believe that he can easily win without those three forces. So, we'll make him believe that only the Keyblade warriors of Light decided to join our forces." At this, Lightning nodded her head faintly to Gregory. "The warriors of Twilight and Nothingness will need to split up and wander the worlds for a few days to spread rumors that they aren't going to be a part of the fight. The rumor will make itself back to Master Xehanort in no time. But when it comes to the time to actually fight, the warriors of Twilight and Nothingness will be hiding out and surrounding the battlefield. When all of Master Xehanort's forces are there, they can charge in."
Aqua nodded, understanding Lightning's logic. "That...just might work," she acknowledged, pleased. She never doubted Lightning's strategies in the past, because they proved helpful. She could only hope the outcome was the same with this one.

Lightning nodded faintly, looking around the group. "The armies are large, so in order to best control those in Nothingness and Twilight, there should be two leaders. One from our group can join one of you," she said to the leaders of the Keyblade wielders, specifically, Kain and the other man. She was still trying to decide who would fight with them, though. She wanted to oversee the entire mission, so she wouldn't be a part of any team. The other people that she trusted to be in charge were the two Masters: Aqua and Riku. Frankly, she didn't trust Eraqus to fully cooperate with anyone who wasn't in the Light.

Aqua noticed how Lightning glanced at Kain and the wielder of Twilight when she spoke, and she didn't see anyone raising their hands. "Any volunteers?" she asked of her friends, her gaze dancing over each one of them. Her gaze darted back to the person standing on one side of Lightning, his eyes meeting hers.

"I'll do it," Riku said lowly, his aqua eyes moving from the bluenette to the leaders of both Twilight and Nothingness. He didn't care which one he joined at the moment, though he was curious about Kain. There was something about him that threw Riku off.

Lightning wasn't surprised that Riku volunteered; he had a tactical mind like she did. The girl lifted her gaze to Aqua then. "I think that you would do well as a leader too, Aqua," she said. Aqua took initiative, but she was also good at listening to others and taking their advice for battle. If there were any two that Lightning trusted to be heads, it was them.
"Of course," Aqua replied with the faintest of smiles. She was flattered, but she was a Master. It made sense for her to lead, though she didn't expect her Master to. Eraqus had a prejudice against anything but the Light. He would most likely stick closer to his preferred element. Having dealt with everything, Aqua and Riku didn't mind siding with the others.

"We can work out the placement of those teams later," Lightning said, shifting her gaze from Aqua to Gregory. "Now I want to focus on how the rest of our forces will be facing Xehanort's. More than likely, he won't go for total overkill. He'll use his team of himself, his Nobody, Heartless, Vanitas, and the members of the Organization that are alive. The warriors of Light will be busy facing off against his army most of the time, and any other type of beast that he may summon."
Riku listened intently, his gaze locked on the dirt covering the ground. Lightning had been more observant than he originally thought, much like he was. She could map out Xehanort's plans pretty easily, something a lot of them probably hadn't done. He listened nonetheless, taking in her words so he could remember them later.
