Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"How do your numbers compare to the numbers Xehanort took with him?" Lightning asked Gregory.

"It's probably identical," Gregory said after a brief moment of thought. They were always evenly matched in the past, so they could have no problem facing them now.

Lightning's thinking took a different path than Gregory's, the soldier thinking of past fights against Xehanort. "Okay then," she said. "We'll need to take some members of the other forces and scatter them amongst the warriors of Light." When she saw some of the looks people were giving her, she elaborated. "We need to make sure that our starting forces are strong enough to take on Xehanort and his team, not just stay evenly matched with him." She saw some nods at that, and her eyebrows furrowed as she looked down at the ground. She didn't know what else to say...Except... "I want my friends facing off against Xehanort's team for sure, not against the warriors of Darkness. We know Xehanort's team best; we can use that to our advantage in the fights." Roxas could take Xemnas along with Sora, Master Eraqus and Aqua against Master Xehanort...This could work.

Aqua nodded along with a few other people in the group, agreeing to Lightning's plan. It seemed logical enough, if not specific. That was what the soldier favored anyway, as many of them knew. A few warriors from the side of Twilight and Nothingness would join those of the Light to make greater number than what Xehanort had, and her group of friends would take on Xehanort personally. It made sense.

"...That's all I can think of at the moment," Lightning said. "The initial fight will be just my team's remaining forces and the team of Light. I'll overlook the entire battle and signal the other forces to swoop in when I think they can most effectively take down Master Xehanort's forces." She looked back up at the people in the circle, her blue eyes focused. "Any questions?"
Riku's eyes lifted to look at everyone, seeking any questionable expressions or confused ones. When he didn't see any, he crossed his arms. Looks like we're all on the same page, he thought silently, glancing over at Light. Was this meeting adjourned?

"Okay," Lightning said with a small nod, hearing silence as her response. "I want Riku, Aqua, Kain, and Wesley to come with me and survey the outer rim of this area so that we can decide where to place the rest of our forces." She shifted her gaze from those specific people to the other natural leader of the group, who Lightning didn't always (or ever, really) get along with. "Master Eraqus, if you could inform the others as to the plan, that would be helpful." Once she and her group returned, then they could set things into motion.

Master Eraqus nodded faintly to Lightning, his eyes holding nothing but seriousness. "Certainly," he replied, turning and walking away from the group so he could do as requested.

Riku watched Eraqus for a moment before he looked to Aqua, Kain, Wesley, and Lightning. "Shall we?" he asked, uncrossing his arms. It would be best if they got a move on.

Kain nodded faintly, unfolding his arms as well. Underneath his helmet, his eyes took in Lightning. The armor was something he never saw before, and it gave him an uneasy feeling. But he wouldn't discuss such things with a young woman who didn't remember him. Now wasn't the time. He started walking as Lightning and Wesley did the same, the soldier next to him as they walked further away from everyone else.
Aqua glanced over at Terra briefly before she started walking after the others, catching up with Riku in a few quick steps. The two of them walked a few steps behind Lightning, allowing her to lead as Kain and Wesley followed behind her as well. She was happy that for once they had a strategy, something that would help them immensely.

Kain noticed that Wesley slowed himself, wanting to talk to the two Keyblade Masters that were behind them. That gave him more opportunity to speak to Lightning, though he still refused to bring up the topic of her memory now. Instead, he brought up something from recent history. "That was some fight," he said lowly, so that their conversation wouldn't be understood by those behind them.

"Yes, it was," Lightning agreed, curling her hands by her sides. It was an intense fight. But there was more to it than that. She felt like she knew Kain, even to the point of fighting him in the past. Or fighting by his side. His fighting style was so familiar.

"What is that armor?" Kain asked, glancing over at Lightning at the mention. "It surprised me that you summoned it in the middle of the battle."

Lightning only shrugged. "It helps me channel certain powers better," she said simply. She didn't say that the armor appeared without her summoning it; she didn't want others knowing she didn't have control over this yet.

Riku heard Aqua engage in a small conversation with Wesley, though he didn't say anything. He watched Kain with hard eyes, suspicious of his character. There was just something about him that threw him off, even if Riku wasn't sure what it was yet. He would watch him carefully, and secretly, so he could figure it out.

"What powers would those be?" Kain inquired. He saw Lightning in action in the past; he even fought her. She didn't have these Light-based powers before. Was it because of that realm being different from this one, or did something else happen? He felt like it was the latter, since the armor was new. He didn't like the inscription of the goddess on the shield that she still wore on her arm.

Lightning didn't have an answer to that question; she wasn't sure what to say except that Etro granted her these abilities. She did, however, have a reason not to answer. She suddenly felt very sick again. "Excuse me," she said, loudly enough for the whole group to hear as she walked off to the side towards a rock. Setting a hand on it, she braced herself as she knelt down and vomited. Stupid Retlaw. Stupid potion...

Riku's footsteps faltered, his eyes widening slightly when he saw what was happening. He then approached Lightning, setting a hand on her back and holding some of her hair back. He wasn't happy with Retlaw for his maneuver, but there was nothing he could do now. Lightning just had to get it out of her system.

Lightning knew that Riku was the one behind her, but she didn't know that Kain's eyebrows were furrowed as he pieced together Light's connection to him. Boyfriend and girlfriend. The soldier coughed slightly when she was done, shutting her eyes as she took a breath to compose herself. She would be okay. They had to keep sorting this out.
Riku rubbed Lightning's back gently, his eyes on her. "...You okay?" he asked softly, only so she could hear. He understood that she wasn't feeling well, and hopefully the others did too. They could take a minute so she could compose herself.

Lightning nodded slightly, eyes staying shut for another moment before she pushed herself up to her feet. "Sorry," Lightning said, turning slightly to look at the rest of the group while being careful not to force Riku to take his hand off her back. "Food poisoning." Or rather, poison in her food. Either way, all that the two new Keybladers needed to know was that this wasn't going to hold her back.
Aqua gazed at her friends, seeing Riku keep close to Lightning's side, his hand resting on her lower back. "...Do you need a minute?" she asked gently. She believed they could at least spare that, until Lightning was ready.

Lightning shook her head faintly. "No, I'm okay," she said. "Let's keep going." She looked around at the group, her eyes finding Riku last. Obviously he was concerned, since he was staying so close to her side. She didn't mind it; in fact, she preferred it. Something about Kain just felt weird to her. She'd rather stick by Riku's side to avoid his questions.
Riku nodded slightly to Lightning at her words, his hand leaving her back to find her smaller one. His fingers encircled her hand, gripping it gently as he looked to his comrades. "Let's go," he said, eyebrows furrowed as he started forward. He would stay at the front, with Lightning. Aqua was still chatting with Wesley when they stopped anyway.

Lightning started walking when Riku did, the two of them only needing to take a few steps to catch up to where Kain was standing. He started walking when they reached them, beside Lightning. His silence, and his presence with Riku close, seemed tenser. But she wouldn't focus on it. She looked around the area, the wheels in her head starting to turn again. Where could all the extra warriors hide...?
Riku kept his gaze forward, though he had to fight the urge to look over at Kain. Once again, something didn't feel right about the guy. True, this was the first time they had met, but when the warrior was around Lightning... Something just wasn't okay.

"Do all of your warriors have gliders?" Lightning asked Kain after a few moments of walking, thinking strategically. There weren't too many hiding places right around where she planned to have the battle, so they would be further away than she liked. But if they had gliders, they could make up for the distance by flying in quickly.

"Yes," Kain responded with a small nod, looking ahead. He quickly figured out what Lightning's thinking was, since he was tactically minded as well. "You're not seeing any places near enough for them to hide and charge into battle."

"No, I'm not," Lightning said as she shook her head. But...maybe the distance was for the better. Then it would be less likely for Master Xehanort to sense that anything was wrong. "Do you have any soldiers that know illusionary magic?"

"I do, but not many," Kain said, again catching onto Lightning's drift. "Not ones with enough power to conceal a whole army." She didn't want Master Xehanort seeing anyone when he entered the field; it made sense. If he did, their surprise would be a failure.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the talk next to him, the young man staring ahead as he thought it over. "...Maybe we can talk to Yen Sid. He may have some ideas," he said. "Potions, spells, techniques..." There had to be something they could use.
  • Author
"I'd rather not rely on spells and techniques that aren't familiar to us," Lightning said, faintly shaking her head. "That makes it more likely that something could go wrong." They would just have to find a place to hide all these soldiers. She looked to the right, seeing caves in the rock wall. That could work...
"Well, what do you suggest, soldier?" Riku asked, lifting an eyebrow. He turned his head to gaze at the woman he loved, looking down at her shorter figure. But....she wasn't looking forward like he expected. He turned his head, halting their walk when he saw a deep cave. What's she thinking?

Lightning stopped walking when Riku did, Kain doing the same as he followed her gaze. She was coming up with a plan. If the cave was large enough, at least a quarter of the men could fit in there. "...I'm going to go check out the cave," she said as she slipped her hand out of Riku's.

"There's no need for you to go alone," Kain said. There could be danger lurking in that cave. It was hard to sense a threat in this world, since the air was always so ominous. He wished to explore the cave as well, especially if he would be the one to keep his men and women in there.
