Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku glanced over at Kain when he spoke, though he then turned his attention to the two Keyblade wielders. He caught Aqua's attention, as she stopped near him. "Looks like we might be using that cave," he said, jerking his thumb in the direction Lightning was going.

Aqua nodded slightly, and seeing that no one else was going with Lightning, she took initiative. "I'll go with her," she said softly, stepping past Riku and Kain to follow Lightning's lead. She could use some of her Light magic to illuminate the cave, that way they could see just how large it was inside.

Lightning heard two people following her: Aqua and Kain. The soldier stepped inside the dark cave, eyebrows furrowed as she tried to see. But it was impossible. Looking down at her shining armor, she wondered if she had another ability concerning the Light. She held out her hand in front of her, exhaling a soft breath and focusing on the power Etro gave her. In a matter of seconds, a white glow appeared over her hand and lit the area more. Wow, I can't believe that worked...
While Wesley and Riku watched from outside, Aqua went inside the cave a few steps ahead of Kain. She summoned her Keyblade to her hand and called to her powers of Light, much like Lightning, illuminating the cave a little more. "Well...it certainly seems roomy enough," she commented, her voice echoing on the cave's walls. Of course, it wouldn't be big enough for everyone, but they could hide a good amount of people in here until the time was right.

"It would be best to make sure there's not an entrance that the enemy could use to enter the cave and attack our backs," Kain said, though he agreed with Aqua: this was a nice cave for their purposes. He started forward, and Lightning did the same, since she had illumination and he didn't. He started walking along the edges of the cave, staring at the walls to see if any spots were entrances that Xehanort could use to sneak up on them. There were none. The cave was safe.

Riku had his arms crossed, but he let one fall as he brought a hand to cup the side of his mouth. "How's it look in there?" he called, only able to see two white lights. One of them was obviously Aqua, and the other Lightning. So, what was the decision? Did they use it?

"I think we can use this to our advantage," Aqua called with a faint smile, satisfied. She didn't hear anything negative against the cave from Kain a few moments ago, so obviously it was alright.

Lightning walked out of the cave, Kain close behind her as they entered the light again. "We'll use it," she declared with a small nod. At least a quarter of the army could fit in there, and since they were splitting them into four groups, that was perfect. She thought she saw another cave within fairly close distance, so they would check that out next. Hopefully fate was on their side and this all worked out.
Aqua walked out of the cave, Keyblade gone as she stopped near the others. She put a hand to her hip. "So," she breathed. "What's next?" Where did they go from here? They had one hiding spot. Did they keep looking?

"We'll keep looking until we find ideal spots for every group," Light said, letting her hand fall back down to her side now that her light had faded. Looking up ahead, she thought she saw another good spot. Motioning for everyone to come with her, she started in that direction. The sooner they got this done, the sooner she could go off and be alone to figure out the rest of the strategy.

Later that night

Riku walked down the lit hallways of the castle, heading toward his and Lightning's bedroom. He hadn't seen her in a few hours, since dinner ended. He let her be, considering she hadn't been feeling well and needed to think about the future battle. Everyone did, really, which was why they split up after their meal. Riku took a turn at one end of the hall, walking a few more feet until he approached their room. He pushed the door open quietly, leaning his shoulder against it when he saw the person he loved.

Lightning was sitting at a desk in the bedroom, her back to the doorway as her notes were spread out in front of her. One sheet had notes on each of the forces in the caves, and another had multiple strategies for those who were fighting immediately. And now she was trying to figure out who to pin against Xehanort's main team. She spoke to Master Eraqus earlier in private, and he said that Terra would not be a part of the fight. That made things harder for Light, since she was trying to pair each villain with two of her closest friends. She exhaled a breath, tired of trying to think this through. There were no options except to enlist people from Gregory's army.
Riku smiled softly, though it was mostly in adoration. He tilted his head slightly before pushing himself away from the door, walking toward Light. He approached her from behind, stopping and lightly setting his hands on either of her shoulders. "How you holding up?" he asked gently, lightly squeezing her shoulders.

Lightning leaned back in her chair when Riku was standing behind her, the back of the chair low enough that she could lean her head against his torso. That was what she did, the back of her head against him as she looked up at him from behind her bangs. "I'm alright," she responded softly. Her mind was running a hundred miles per hour, but that was good. It was best to sort this out now rather than at the actual battle, which would take place in a few days.
Riku looked down at Lightning with the same small smile. "I think you might need a break," he suggested. She had been at this for hours, and she seemed exhausted...or at least stressed. A little relaxation couldn't hurt.

In other words, you want me to focus on you for a little while, Light rephrased in her mind. She wished she could, but... "Give me a few more minutes," she said quietly. She would pair up her allies the best that she could with an enemy and then take a break like Riku wanted her to. Rest wouldn't hurt her, either. Her mind was pretty tired.
Riku nodded, squeezing Lightning's shoulders again before releasing them. He moved over to the side, crossing his arms as he leaned back against the desk, still on his feet. "Why don't you show me what you have?" he asked softly. Maybe he could help...

Lightning looked down at the various sheets of paper, eyes dancing over them as she tried to figure out what to tell Riku. But that was just it. A weak laugh left her lips, the soldier shaking her head. "I don't know where to start..." She wrote most of her notes on each piece of paper rather than just keeping them in her head, though, so Riku could read over what she had if he wanted to.
Riku smirked, releasing a small "hmph" as he reached for a piece of paper pushed off to the side. "Let me see," he requested, picking it up and reading it. It was a little messy, but he would be able to catch the gist of it after he read it over. It wasn't like Lightning's handwriting was messy.

Light nodded faintly, letting Riku take the sheet that had strategy for the extra armies when they joined in the main fight. He could look at that one; she would continue where she left off with Xehanort's team. Now, if Sora could face Master Xehanort, then Roxas could face Xemnas and Ven could face Vanitas. But who could face Ansem and his Guardian? She didn't want it to be Master Eraqus; she planned on having him assist in whatever fight he was needed most in. But she, Riku, and Aqua were unavailable for the fight because they had other duties. Maybe King Mickey? That could work. And then Namine could assist in one fight and Kairi in another. But in those fights, we should have another person too. Kairi and Namine aren't experienced enough to be a partner equal to whoever I put "in charge" of the fight.
Riku became silent as he read over the sheet in his hand, reading over the strategies Lightning had come up with. None of them were bad ideas, of course; she knew how to strategize well. The past few hours were clearly productive, since she got so much done.
  • Author
Lightning wrote down her ideas, knowing that they were the best she would get tonight. Sora + two others against Master Xehanort. Roxas, Namine, + one other against Xemnas. King Mickey, Kairi, + one other against Ansem. And Ven + another against Vanitas. She would have given Ven a third partner, but she knew that Vanitas would unleash his Unversed if he was faced by too many at once. There was still a risk that he would do the same with two enemies, but it was a risk she had to take in order to ensure Ven's safety.
Riku lowered the sheet of paper back to the desk, his eyes finding Lightning as she jotted stuff down. "Not bad," he said, providing his opinion on things. There wasn't much he could suggest, though it didn't help that he was tired. He would look at more of her ideas in the morning.
  • Author
"Thanks," Lightning said, finishing jotting down her ideas as Riku spoke to her. She put down the pen as she gathered all the papers, putting them in a drawer where they would be hidden from sight. Maybe she was overly cautious, but it was better than being stupid. Leaving out their battle plans wasn't a smart idea. When that was done, she shifted her gaze to Riku. "I think I'm done for the night," she said. "What time is it?" It felt like it had been a while since dinner, but she had no idea that it was close to midnight.
"Later than you probably think," Riku said, crossing his arms again. "Nearly midnight." He looked to the clock in the room as he said this, though he then allowed his eyes to find Lightning again. He wondered if she would want to go to bed right away; she seemed pretty tired.
  • Author
Light blinked, turning her head to look at the clock automatically. Wow. I was working a long time. Regardless, she shifted her gaze back to Riku. "You're right," she agreed. "It is later than I thought it was." Good thing the battle wasn't taking place tomorrow. It would take a few days for the rumors to take full affect. And Lightning wanted to run to her home world tomorrow and see if they had any Guardian Corps technology like ear buds that they could use for communication. It would be extremely helpful.
Riku pushed himself away from the desk, letting one of his hands ruffle Lightning's hair. "C'mere," he said, walking toward the bed. He would help her relax for a little while, or get to sleep. Whichever she preferred. She worked hard today, so she deserved the best.
