Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas stared out the window, both him and Namine quiet for the moment. Actually, they had been for a while. He let his gaze rest on the stars and the mountains miles away from where they were, though his thoughts were still on the war. And how he killed his best friend...and how he betrayed Namine. Honestly, he wasn't sure how he would feel if he survived this next battle with Xehanort. He would live in misery...wouldn't he?

I want to have a family someday, Namine thought. But...what if I'm ever put in a situation like Axel was? Would I be strong enough to care for my family? Would she be strong enough to serve her worst enemy and betray her closest friends. Just the thought of betraying Sora and Kairi made the blonde shiver as she stared up at the ceiling. That would be so hard for her, but that's what Axel did for his family. He was strong.
Roxas exhaled a soft breath, letting his forehead rest slightly against the window as he kept his gaze on the outside world. He was surprised when Namine stood by his side so strongly not too long ago, outside Disney Castle. After admitting that he loved someone else, killed said person, and mistook her for Xion, Namine still stuck by his side. Did he really deserve someone like that? And if he didn't have Namine, would he have deserved Xion either?

"...Hey, Roxas?" Namine asked softly after a few moments, still staring up at the ceiling as she spoke. She knew that he had a lot on his mind right now with Xion, but she had to ask him something. And she wanted an honest answer, too; not just one that would comfort her.
"Yeah?" Roxas answered, taking his head off the window pane and turning it to face Namine. He kept his arms crossed, still leaning against the wall. She sounded... He wasn't really sure how to describe it. It was...different, afraid, upset...? He couldn't tell.

"Do you think that we'll ever see Axel again?" Namine asked quietly, blue eyes soft. They didn't even know if he was alive. He had to be in big trouble with Xemnas after letting Namine and Roxas go. He couldn't get a hold on Lisa anymore, but Axel and his wife could have still been in danger. Or worse. If Axel was gone, she didn't know what she would do. She regretted not talking to him the past few years; it wasn't anything personal--they just lost touch.
Roxas looked away at the question, his eyes going back out the window. "...I don't know," he answered, his voice softer than before. Honestly, the thought of not seeing Axel again scared him. He was his first friend...ever. Even before Xion, or Namine, Sora, and Kairi. He lost touch, sure, but he still cared...even after he said Axel was no longer a friend to him. But that was under unfortunate circumstances, before he realized the truth.

Namine nodded faintly, sitting up and folding her legs Indian style as she looked down. Right. That was the answer I was expecting... But it still made her sad. She owed Axel her life, and she never got to thank him for letting her go. And then there was Lisa. What would happen to her if both her parents died? Namine didn't dare say it aloud, but...If Axel and his wife both died, Namine would adopt Lisa. She couldn't let Axel's daughter belong to just anyone.
Roxas closed his eyes and sighed, not wanting to think about sad thoughts. But...did he really have a choice? Everything about his life was bitter these days, and it was discouraging. Hopefully, once Xehanort was gone, things would go back to normal... But wasn't this normal ? Fighting and protecting?

Namine's eyebrows furrowed as she stared downward. "...We'll find him, when all this is over," she declared, voice soft but determined. As much as she loved Lisa already, Namine wasn't her mother. She could never replace her real mother, or Axel. Those were shoes that she never wanted to have to fill. It would have been impossible.
"Mm," Roxas hummed in agreement. He and Namine would go out on their own, searching for Axel and his wife. Once they found them, they would reunite them with Lisa. They had to; that little girl deserved her family.

Namine pushed herself off the bed slowly, movements soft as she approached Roxas. She could tell that he was down, and she knew that her words probably couldn't change any of that. That was why she didn't bother speaking. Instead, she embraced him from behind, her arms laying over his stomach as her head rested against him. She just wanted to hold him; that was it.
Roxas opened his eyes to stare at the floor, though he lowered his hands to sit on top of Namine's arms. "...We're gonna survive this," he muttered. They had to. If he lost Namine, or Namine lost him, neither of them would be able to go on. He knew he wouldn't live if Namine wasn't with him...which he guessed was enough to set her apart from Xion. He was surviving without the raven-haired girl, but without Namine... Roxas just couldn't do it.

Namine nodded faintly, her eyes shut as she felt Roxas's warm hands over her arms. "Yeah, we will," she agreed softly. There was a big battle coming up, one that she planned to be a part of. All of her friends were fighting except for Terra. Even Kairi was going to battle. If Kairi had permission to fight, then Namine believed that she did too. She wanted to fight, for her friends.
"...I'll protect you," Roxas whispered gently, eyebrows furrowing as his eyes grew hard. "Xemnas won't get to you again." He wouldn't allow it. He would protect Namine at all costs, even if she was fighting alongside them. It was going to be an ugly war, and he wasn't expecting to lose her.

"I'll protect you too," Namine whispered, giving Roxas a small squeeze. Or, at least, I'll try to. She wasn't a master of magic yet, though King Mickey praised her for catching onto it and growing in strength at an amazing rate. She hoped that it was good enough; she hoped that she was ready for this fight. It would be her first big one.
Roxas closed his eyes at the words. He never expected to hear them leave Namine's mouth, but now that they did... He was stunned, to be honest. Nobody had ever offered to protect him from anything; he was always doing that himself. It was foreign, hearing that and having the words directed toward him. But he would try to make it so Namine didn't have to worry about him. She needed to focus on defending herself.

Just a few days until the big fight, Namine thought silently to herself. She had no idea what to expect, which was why she wanted to talk to Lightning alone. She was the one planning the whole fight out, after all. Hopefully Namine could ask her a lot of questions about that fight, and fights in general. Lightning was a soldier, and a good friend; she could help prepare her for the battle.
Roxas turned around in Namine's hold, doing it slowly as to not force her to release him. He then wrapped his arms around her upper back, bringing her close. He wasn't sure what to do other than this... They barely kissed since they found each other. He doubted she wanted to kiss him of all people after what he did. He wouldn't push it for that reason.

Namine had opened her eyes when Roxas turned around to hold her, and the fact that he wanted to hold onto her made her smile weakly. She shut her eyes and buried her face in his neck, her eyes shutting again as she got comfortable. She was always comfortable in Roxas's arms, really. He made her feel safe, and loved. Even now.
Roxas vowed from this point forward that if Namine got hurt, he would use his potions, elixirs, and spells to heal her instead of himself. While him dying in battle wouldn't help her any, it was better than having her lose her life trying to protect him. It was flattering that she offered and was willing to do so, but he wanted her to focus on protecting herself when possible. He couldn't lose her in a few days.

Namine brought her head out of Roxas's neck after a few moments, leaning up and giving him a kiss on the cheek before her head found his shoulder again. I love you, she wanted to say. Despite the fact that you mistook me for another girl, and despite the fact that you loved her. I still love you despite it. And she knew it was a good thing she did; Roxas was a good guy. He didn't deserve heartbreak.
Roxas held Namine a little more tightly at the show of affection, not wanting to let go. It was late, sure, but still... The last time he and Namine were this close was when he was crying pathetically into her shoulder about Xion. He still felt awful, but the tears were done.

Namine gripped the back of Roxas's shirt as her face found his neck again, her eyes shut. She just wished that she could help him somehow. In the past, she wasn't sure about love but Roxas didn't hate her for it. And now, as he was struggling over losing somebody he loved, all Namine wanted to do was heal this hurt. She hated seeing him so down.
"...We should get to bed," Roxas advised after another long moment of silence. He wanted to leave his depressing thoughts behind and just sleep; he and Namine were both sleep-deprived, unfortunately. But...it was fortunate because they could rest together.
